  1. I'll be cloning it. Samsung has free cloning software at their website https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/

  3. or maybe she's suffering from a low fiber diet.. Sometimes those tasty treats affect you in the end.
  4. SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD - Up to 1050MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 - External Solid State Drive - SDSSDE61-2T00-G25 $180.49 for 2TB model - cheapest price I've seen it go for... You want capacity, blazing speed and something built like a tank - this is it. Now just wish I had the spare change to get it... Edit: my bad I was thinking this was the Pro version... Amazon.com: SanDisk 2TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD - Up to 2000MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 - External Solid State Drive - SDSSDE81-2T00-G25 : Electronics I've see the Pro version go for cheaper than the Prime cost
  5. I've always considered 500GB drives** of any kind a bad investment, more so for SSDs. Spend the extra couple of bucks and get at least a 1TB, you'll be glad you did. **with the exception of thumb drives

  7. This update fixed an issue where one of my libraries would always say Optimize but Optimization would always fail...
  8. Meh... beg to differ. I'm setting up a new(ish) computer and the iLok plugins (I use the iLok3 dongle) were the least problematic thing I had to deal with. Turns out I had a flakey SSD hard drive that always passed diagnostics but the OS would gradually get corrupted - the last one lasted for almost 3 weeks before suddenly going south and becoming unbootable. I ended up installing Windows multiple times (at least 5) in the course of dealing with this and had to contact multiple plugin developers because I had burned through my allowable authorizations. Also not having to deal with all the various authorization/licensing schemes was a joy. The one exception that comes to mind is Softube - with their clunky installer that won't remember your password & other issues using iLok doesn't help things.
  9. It's funny how a lot of the good stuff rarely, if ever, goes on sale... Sonic Charge installers & other downloads https://soniccharge.com/download Last major update & current installer version: 2022.03.21 (trial & full version) I always like to check out a company's forum , if they have one, to see how they respond to inquiries or issues. Is it totally user supported or does the dev or company participate? https://soniccharge.com/forum/ The dev personally responses to a lot of stuff.
  10. VC 2A sold as a standalone for $99 (or as part of a combo with the VC 76 & VC160) and was included as part of the Komplete Ultimate collections 8 and higher and Komplete CE 12 & 13. Just noticed @mister_tea said the same things...
  11. Also picked up the Friedman DS-40 Note: If your total is more than $75 the $25 off coupon does work...
  12. Thanks for mentioning, this one's been on my bucket list. Along with the CrispyTuner
  13. Less than a 100 to go to hit maximum discount level!

  15. Just change currency from Euros to Dollars... I'm in USA and for some reason their site always defaults to Euros. Odd that it's not even the equivalent value, maybe they're adding in VAT.
  16. Except for Voice & TapeDesk I'm seeing most of the rest @ $69 The 20% discount takes that down to $55.20 Voice & TapeDesk going for $89 (before 20% coupon)
  17. Coupons code invalid on sales items... Code does work for additional discount - your just need to make sure the website doesn't log you out between changing pages...
  18. I posted my questions on the Sound Particle forum and got an answer: While this info makes me a little less enthusiastic it doesn't totally kill my interest. It does knock it down from a no-brainer to the this could still be useful territory. I'm hoping that I can find some time to play with it this weekend.
  19. Per NI "It's also now possible to manage your KOMPLETE NOW subscription from Native Access 2." v2 has filters that can come in handy (Applications, Instruments, Effects, etc.) but no support for legacy stuff. I have a bunch of legacy stuff and don't subscribe to Komplete Now so I'm still fine with v1.x for now.
  20. But I never buy them twice… Anyone I buy would be a 1st time purchase
  21. I've just start checking it out. My big question is integrating it with either Music or Video with a logical workflow. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not seeing things like: * SMPTE support or support for video editors like Premiere. * Support for DAWS - no support for VST or other plugins or rewire support. Yes you can import & export audio but lets say you wanted add effects over the bridge of a song that was a work in progress - you'd have to export a rough mix, then import it into Sound Particles. Then create your fx mix and export it, then fly it into your audio project. and if you have to make any changes (producer thinks the effect needs to altered in some way, or he changes the music) you may have to repeat the whole process. I love the concept I just want to see a workflow that's not going to make me cringe. Like I said I'm a nube with this app, but I'm not seeing my questions answered in the manual.
  22. This is Heavyocity after all - pretty sure what you're referring to as orchestration are the effected versions of the instrument similar to what they like to do with a lot of their stuff. Not really a fan of the backward, reverbed, distorted, looped soupy stuff myself but it can come in handy if you feel the need to drown crappy vocal tracks.
