  1. I had the same thing here in AmpliTube 5... Until I set the MIDI learn to a knob on my controller. Then the mouse drag started working. Deleted the MIDI learn, and the mouse drag continued to work. So closed AmpliTube, restarted it, added the Nu-Tron again and it still worked. Weird!!!
  2. I actually prefer Linux to Windows, it's just that there is a serious lack of commercial software for Linux. I even used Linux as my daily driver PC for a couple of years, with the exception of my Windows only DAW. I even once spent a couple of weekends trying to wrangle Linux audio, then asked myself why bother when I have a perfectly functional Windows DAW that just works (most of the time)?
  3. That was a while ago. Were you asleep at the wheel?
  4. Here are the mobile apps for SomaFM https://somafm.com/mobile/ And drum roll.................................. The SomaFM app for Windows!
  5. The web browser HTML version on PC works well. The main page lets you browse all of the stations, and the pop-out HTML web player controls the playback for the selected station.
  6. Usually it's just spammers and one-time trolls that get banned and posts deleted. The rest of the time regular users that cross the lines may get warned, or a thread can be suddenly locked.
  7. I'm just guessing that a couple of threads on July 24th may have contributed to his "vacation". He got unfairly trolled on a couple of posts. The first one about Studio One getting shafted, where he got accused of "click-baiting", and another about some plugin by Wusik where he got accused of "promoting" a company's products that he knew were not reliable. I think he just decided that he needed a break.
  8. As far as I can tell, Winamp only streams with Shoutcast. But since I have never done that, only know what I've read. Shoutcast is a paid service. I believe Winamp SA and Shoutcast are owned by the same Belgian company, Radionomy, which acquired Shoutcast from Nullsoft. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radionomy If you are sharing or streaming copyrighted content online, you are responsible for paying fees to the industry groups ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC (who represent songwriters & publishers) in very much the same way that an FM station does. These fees are distributed to songwriters & publishers based on periodic airplay surveys & reports.
  9. Well apparently I missed that while sleeping...
  10. Which version of the KORG Collection do you have? I have Collection 3.
  11. I discovered SomaFM early in the last decade, while I was taking some online computer science classes. I found the instrumental stations were very conducive to deep concentration!
  12. Yep, that's the way I roll. I also realize that most of the independently developed source code on GitHub was produced by unpaid volunteer labor. I am always grateful if they provide access to a free or paid binary. But I never assume or expect them to do that. But for any of the big corporations that are using GitHub for their open source projects, that's a different expectation!!!
  13. Not sure about the website. I always use the KORG Software Pass to download/update. It indicated that the two updates were available, and the new installers downloaded as soon as I clicked on them. Hmmm... just checked the website and the new versions are also available there >>> https://id.korg.com/users/products
  14. Right. Wonder why that thread was locked long after it was pretty much done...?

  16. I agree with the opinion of @User 905133, as well intended as informing us of Larry's well being may be, spotting a forum member elsewhere and re-posting their posts here could be subject to misunderstanding. He would have posted here himself if he was so inclined. I'm sure it would suffice to say that he appears to be alive and well, and posting at KVR.
  17. KORG has released updates for M1 & Wavestation with a fix for Cakewalk by BandLab. Might address the issue discussed above.
  18. M1: Version 2.3.3 [PC] After updating to version 2.3.2, Cakewalk by BandLab would not open the project properly and initialize the synthesizer. This has been fixed. Wavestation: Version 2.3.2 [PC] After updating to version 2.3.1, Cakewalk by BandLab would not open the project properly and initialize the synthesizer. This has been fixed.
  19. @Starship KrupaThat's why some developers even charge for platform specific binaries. Although the source code may be open source and free, it takes a certain level of time and expertise to compile it for Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. The dev can charge for the binary to cover their time, distribution expenses, and/or any support. That's a case by case scenario. But nothing requires them to supply pre-compiled binaries. If they do, then bless their hearts, especially if they are not getting paid for their work. Best solution is to acquire and learn the tools for compiling source code on the platform of choice. Problem solved!
  20. Posting comments about songs is probably the most direct way to interact. https://radioparadise.com/info/faq How do I submit music or suggest artists to RP? "We don't accept submissions via mail or email. The review process can take a while. Please be patient, and keep in mind that we only accept a very small percentage of the music that is submitted or suggested to us. If your suggestion (or your own recording) is rejected, please don't take it personally. Our judgements are entirely subjective and arbitrary. They represent our opinion only." https://legacy.radioparadise.com/#n=Submissions https://radioparadise.com/info/about "We also depend on input from you to help fine-tune our music mix. If you hear something that you feel strongly about (either positively or negatively), please take a moment to rate and/or post a comment on that song. Just click the song title anywhere on our site or the heart icon on the web player."
  21. Tangerine Dream performing live in concert in 2007 with computers & soft synths (Absynth, Atmosphere, FM7, & editor/librarian for Creamware Minimax ) . I wonder if they had a plan B? Sounds great, no dropouts!!!
  22. https://radioparadise.com/player Listener supported, no sign-up required! Choice of Main Mix, Mellow Mix, Rock Mix, World/etc. Mix Radio Paradise is Old Fashioned Radio for the 21st Century "Each hour of music is carefully blended together to flow smoothly between different musical styles & genres — just like real DJs used to do on FM. We don't use the computer-generated playlists or "carefully researched music libraries" that have sucked the soul out of FM radio — and we never just throw songs together at random the way many web stations do."
