  1. Let's back up for a sec. I was merely suggesting using the available tools to Unify this bank for my own personal use, since I own a license for it. The Unified banks are only publicly released for factory banks, as the "Unification process" entails capturing some plugin data. Anyone can "Unify" presets for plugins and preset banks that they own. But for personal use only. Info on the "Hardwire" bank available at Kilohearts (most of the synth sequence in the promo video is preset "Star Chaser"): https://kilohearts.com/products/hardwire

  3. Keep at it! The industrious Cakewalk YouTuber, "Creative Sauce" is celebrating his 100,000 subscriber milestone! You can do it! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCESNxzJHzDnCIuRO0RhQLeA
  4. I may have to kick the tires on this AutoHotKey. I got Phase Plant in the Valentines Day Sale*, which included 3 extra non-factory banks. I would love to at least have "Hardwire" unified. It's a cool retro analog-ish sound bank. Shows that Phase Plant can do analog! It's only 50 presets, so if all else fails I can probably save them manually! *at AudioPluginDeals. Deal has ended.
  5. @scook I didn't miss it, because I wasn't actually looking for it. The scope of the effort was basically trying to cover the actual plug-ins. There are probably a few more things that Sonar core installed that were "features" rather than discreet plugins. Not covered on the spreadsheet either.
  6. Sounds like you had some bits flipped (soft error). Glad to hear they are un-flipped now! That MIDI-OX sure is a handy tool! Great for narrowing down a problem... Bit flipping, cosmic ray flux, etc. >>> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soft_error
  7. That's not really an improvement! 🙄
  8. Wowza! How big is your Kontakt folder? Cosmos indexed my folder on SSD in about an hour, and I actually did my entire Native Instruments folder, picked up 7,342 samples in there. You may want to kill the process and restart that scan. I had one scan go to sleep on me, and it showed active, but with very little active CPU and no disk use detected in Windows performance monitor. And don't let your PC idle to sleep during the scan.
  9. Instead of 5 minutes in the manual, the curriculum now consists of 45 minutes of video tutorials! But that's all good. There's a lot of useful tips in the videos that the manual doesn't explicitly cover. At least, not in one place.
  10. I don't know anything about that specific keyboard model, but since you already did a reset it's unlikely to be a mapping issue. But here's a suggestion for testing the MIDI input to your computer and bypassing your DAW... Run the free utility "MIDI-OX" to display the MIDI messages as you press all the keys on your keyboard, one at a time. You should see a MIDI message for note on and note off for each of them. If the keyboard is not sending note messages for all keys, it might be time to check out your warranty since it's only a couple of months old. http://www.midiox.com/
  11. Don't forget to add your Kontakt folder to scan into Cosmos. You might be surprised what it finds! The encrypted factory samples won't show up, but I found a number of 3rd party Kontakt libraries have wave files that do show up, such as some freebies from 8DIO. Even .ogg previews for NKS instruments (for example Analog Dreams) appear in Cosmos. Note: the .ogg samples will drag and drop into Cakewalk audio tracks, as well as the CR8 sampler and the sample oscillator in Vital. But other synths that accept drag and drop samples such as Phase Plant and Pigments will not accept .ogg as oscillator samples.
  12. Drag and drop from Cosmos to a Cakewalk audio track works.
  13. It showed up by default as a grayed out "0" for me, but I had to actually enter "0" for it to accept that value.
  14. Last year I bought the other Unify library by Matthias Sauer, UniChill V1. His sounds are great! https://www.pluginguru.com/products/unichill-v1/
  15. Great demonstration! Bought and installed!!!
  16. Not free, but many Rigid Audio instruments for Kontakt come with thousands of unencrypted sample loops in ".wav" format that can be accessed by Cosmos or any sample manager, and used in CR8. I picked up Cinematrix with 1300 24-bit loops (3.2GB) at Audio Plugin Deals for $4.44 (base price) using some of my APD Rewards. Based on the Rigid Audio Synferno engine with all new kits and sounds. Full Kontakt required to run the instrument in Kontakt, but the samples are wide open. https://audioplugin.deals/cinematrix-by-rigid-audio/ https://audioplugin.deals/developer/rigid-audio/
  17. @Carl Ewing @Anxiousmofo @Matthew SorrelsHey, I found out that Cosmos ignores all wave files longer that 59 seconds. I used a couple of test folders, and the Cosmos sample count was always exactly short by the number of samples that were 1 minute or longer. That accounts for this discrepancy with my sample library folders. One mystery solved! I wonder if this "feature" was by design. or accident? It might be inconvenient, especially if a lot of your samples are only slightly longer than a minute...
  18. When I searched on the term "non-linear reverb" I ran into a lot of comments about using a gate after a reverb to get that effect. @bitflipper made a reference to that method above. If that's the sound you're after, you probably already have a reverb and a gate to experiment with.
  19. I didn't have Vibrations yet! Downloaded! Load up the Live projects/sets demos that come with these packs to hear what they are all about. Some good stuff here! TIP: They both are supposed to work with Live 10 Lite, or above.

    Why BFD sucks

I went way into the inMusic brand with almost all of the AIR and SONiVOX products about 5 years ago. It was wallet friendly, sounded decent, and mostly worked well. But I've seen zero updates to the original versions for Windows since. Currently it appears that inMusic is focusing mostly on Akai and the DJ hardware and software market. Sadly, even Akai has quietly dropped development of their VIP product for soft synths and keyboard controllers. All I can say is that it must be a tough market out there, and if a company is acquired by inMusic that's not necessarily a sign of good fortune ahead!
  21. "Hipster chip". Bwahahahaha!!!! 😂😂😂
  22. Everyone's posts in the Cakewalk forums have already been indexed by the Google search engine, so they remain public forever. You cannot hide...
  23. CR8 is for creating inspired sounds from scratch in a track quickly, rather than dealing with a complex multi-sampled instrument. For that, you have Kontakt... Or you could invest in Live or Bitwig.
  24. True that! Not a very good candidate to use on every track in a big mix unless you freeze as you go... But if that's how you work, you probably need to invest in Ableton with it's integrated Simpler and Sampler.
