  1. Yep. Very grateful for what I have, but I have allowed some of my skills to get rusty. I was fixing my cup of coffee this morning and thinking about working on my guitars, and doing this and that to a few of them. But then said, I should just go up there and start playing, cause it doesn't make sense to fix something I can't play. So I came and sat down, drank my coffee and started looking at this dang forum!! I am going play now.
  2. Weird how that always works out that way!!
  3. And did you learn anything from that experience? LOL!!
  4. There are songs that I hear on XM that just don't have the sound/impact of the songs I remember. Example: "The Ocean" Led Zep, album "Houses Of The Holy". The drum lick that John puts in that song, made that song!! It was the highlight of it. Today when I hear it on XM or even the local radio station, that triplet kick is almost unheard now. So younger people that hear it today for the first time will not get the very important 'feel' of the song. Seems that radio today has computerized all music to eliminate the "loudness difference" with algorithms that have effectively drained the dynamics and altering the mixes of once great recordings!! ZZ Top "LaGrange" is another example, when it was released on CD it had way too much reverb on it. Did not have the same sound as the original. Kansas "Leftoverture" release on CD was the same way. Way too much reverb. ZZ Top corrected this when they released their "Studio Albums" box set. Thanks Billy! (However, some radio stations still use that over-reverbed versions) I could go on... but I will stop this rant from getting out of hand!! Blame it on @craigb, he got me started!!!
  5. Just got around to reading this article. It was very well written. Very good analogies he used. Was able to connect and understand exactly what he was saying. Best quote from article IMHO: "the importance of constraint as a catalyst for creativity"

Excellent song all around Nigel. Fantastic recording, great song structure, unbelievable video!! Well done. Seriously, that video on my screen looked fantastic. Excellent detail, high quality scenes, transitions were in time... That's top notch professional work there. BTW, great vocals too!!

Good song with a great beat and feel!! Excellent recording. Drummer is solid and has great push/pull going on. That's hard to do. It has to come naturally! And he does it well. Guitars sounded great, as did the bass. Excellent lead sound. Sounds really good. What kind of PV? PV speakers too? Your rhythm is good and chunky. Vocals out front, could hear and understand all the words!! IF I was to offer a suggestion, the kick needs some definition. At the very least more volume in the upper, to hear that "thap". What kind of mics? into what kind of mixer? into any comps? LOL!!! Excellent job!
  8. Man... that's wide open right there!! But Imma gonna let it go!!
  9. And a tuning after you get it in the spot you want. This is not an option!!
  10. I just can't spell... All them exceptions to the rulez!!

  15. Lets see.... it's a pic of a Strat? That's not an Am? That's not a real door knob? That's not real grass? Man no one if proofing this stuff!!? BTW I know it's a Mushtang
  16. Great ending there Rain. Vocals fit well with it too. I liked the video. Did you create that recently or was that with the original too?
  17. I never had that issue with other Brave installs. I just installed Brave on my Surface 9 and everything imported as expected. I know this doesn't help or solve your issue Bapu. Just passing on my experiences.
  18. These don't look bad. In fact, they look pretty damn good! And as much as I agree with everyone about Gibson BS, I would have to point out Gibby did have some great amps back in the day. And since their current business model includes making profits from products introduced well over 50+yrs ago, this makes perfect sense. And if your going to re-release amps made back then, and you already have boutique amp makers on your payroll.... As far as the amps... I don't see me going out and buying one. But I can tell you they are nice and worthy of the price. Thanks TheSteven for posting the videos. I will be looking at these some more.
  19. Zo I wouldn't mind hanging out, drinking some coffee and talk geeky with ya!! Next time you in Nola, let me know. And if I make it to your area (France?) I will look you up!!
