If you like Hornet plugins, now is the time to get in on it.

I got the Evolution Rock this time. Haven't had a chance to play around with it yet.

Well, SSFan, if you gonna do it, do it right. Like you said, you tried and wasn't completely happy with the results. From the pics of those studios, I think you will get something to last you a good while. And if it keeps her happy, bonus!! Money damn well spent!! And you don't have to worry about bothering nobody.

The meters are another great product from them.
-
Seems I didn't find much deals here either. I only got one thing from them back in 2020. So I am good to go.

LOL!! That was a good one! Yeah I will start a thread in the coffee house. Something like Smallstone is doing with his studio build.

Sure gonnna miss him... Who are we talking about again!!

I have those tools too. That little file is really good. It doesn't take much presure to get that thing to bite. After about 5-6 fret jobs I have done, I am starting to get the hang of it. What use to take me hours now only takes 30-40 minutes. And the results are much better than that first fret job!! I level the frets first. I start with 600 grit. But have used 400 grit once. When I get the frets level I then come back with 800,1200 grit to take the groves of the 600 grit out of the frets. Then I have a set of the fret erasers (200, 400, 800) and go over every fret with those. Then I come back with the "Touch Up Stick" using all three grits it has. When I am finished, my frets are polished, and feel great. I have done almost all my guitars that way. Yes, for me too. I am still getting stuff from StewMac. I know they are more expensive than some stuff you find on other sites (Amazon, Etsy, Ali) but in almost every case that I tried to get the cheap stuff I ended up springing for the better stuff from StewMac. That "Fret End Dressing File" is a great example. None of the cheap ones compare to it. It works extremely well, once you learn how to use it! @mettelus Man you wouldn't believe all the stuff I been through since we last spoke!!

Coffee House Legend reveals that he uses more than one DAW....
Grem replied to paulo's topic in The Coffee House
Don't we all use more than one DAW? -
Fixed!!
-
It was simpler for me, except my wife watched TV while I sat there with my guitar and practiced runs/exercises. When MTV came on that's all we would watch. Or too stupid to realize somebody trying to manipulate/convince you. Especially the commercials!!

CrowdStrike file update bricks Windows machines around the world
Grem replied to kitekrazy1's topic in The Coffee House
Fixed. Agreed. But that's never stopped them from doing exactly that. -
Not even close!! STNG = Star Trek: Next Generation ?
-
So can I. I got the gold edition back in the day and they still honor that licenses. And they still update the program.

Well, I want to know if he's able to see what we got coming up in the future? Is all plugins going subscription!?
-
Just don't really see that happening. Yes. Me too. Glad I never got on that SD ride. Always stuck with EZD. Then EZK. Then EZB. And no, SD never came down in price. And they stopped selling EZD midi stuff like they did at first. But thier stuff does work well. Thankfully they finally updated EZK!!

I didn't see any PS stuff.

That was a good show!!

Saw the Floyd in Baton Rouge at the LSU Assembly Center (now known as the Pete Maravich Assembly Center). Great show. My best friend and I had tickets. We both were working the day of the show until 6pm. Our plan was to get cleaned up and have our girlfriends pick us up in the car and take off straight from work. Well on the way the car started overheating. It got so bad we had to stop and we determined that the car needed water. We were in the middle of nowhere so we pulled over and dumped our coke cans out to fill them with water out of the ditch. My buddy and I was frantic!! Was we really going to miss the Floyd!!? The two girls were pretty non-chalant about the situation and couldn't understand why we were so uptight. They reasoned just slow down and we will make it. So what if we missed the concert. Who in the hell was Pink Floyd anyway!! My buddy and I, told them in no uncertain terms, if they didn't start helping they wouldn't be riding!! We made the concert and was the most memorable concert I ever went to. They played all of Animals, WYWH, and a lot of DSOTM for encore, with a break in between each. The girls couldn't believe how great the concert was. They couldn't stop talking about it for a long time after. The original Floyd never came back to this area.

And "Lonesome Dove" with Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Devall.

I would watch MTV for days on end. Really enjoyed all the new stuff I was seeing.
