  1. How do you buy JUST the original version (not Inside Out)? I can't find a link or price anywhere. Only price is for Inside Out or the combo of both.
  2. I'd have to agree, Zo. Once I got the STL Howard Benson plugin, I started looking at these smaller, more focused plugins in a whole new light. For the time it would save me and the quality of the sounds it could provide, I might just spend the money for Nolly at list. KVR has done me well, though. STL Howard Benson was only $70, no fees. For Neural DSP, the cost for each amp is not unlike Nembrini's when they were on sale...
  3. Zo, this is a great review. Really enjoyed the walkthrough and felt my wallet getting a little lighter with every example. I appreciate you trying to warn us ahead of time but...
  4. Hi Mesh. I had the same type of issue with the demo some months ago and it never did work. It was sitting in my iLok Manager as a deactivated trial for months. It was a bit of a leap of faith to buy without trying but no regrets. Still thinking about Bias FX 2 - it sounds like they've worked out some of the kinks which is great to hear!
  5. Hey, Zo. No, I didn't demo Putney but have watched a ton of videos! I went with Howard Benson for the variety of amps in that package. The Bogner model is amazing for high gain but the Marshall is superb, too, especially with the overdrive pedal in the chain. The Wizard amp model is wonderfully versatile and the two Fender amps are crystalline and clean and really responsive with overdrive. I regret not picking up the Putney product on sale last week now that I hear just how good this STL plugin is. Mesh, I'm a big fan of THU and have been an Overloud customer since TH1. The Randall amps are wonderful for high gain and a few of the amp rigs really stand out. I love Mercuriall amp sims for high gain, too, and SGear for Fender tones. I spent way too much time tweaking with Bias FX and Amp and not nearly enough recording. I may upgrade to BiasFX2 if there's a good enough deal but not really desperate to do so now. For the most part, though, I've used THU and SGear for most of my needs and felt like, because of how many options there were, I was covered. While I still believe that's true, the quality and clarity of the sound coming from STL Howard Benson is just making me rethink the tonnage factor of the more voluminous amp sim products I've used. It really is a pleasure to use, and the focus that 5 amps and 3 pedals provides is something I need to keep my blinders on and actually play. There are some things it doesn't do (is not designed to do) but I have other amp sims that will fill in the gaps. I really do think it will end up being my go-to amp sim but I've got the upcoming weekend to play around some more. Demo this thing. I'd love to hear what you think. Be sure to use the IR loader to compare the stock cabs with your own - they actually stack up really well! PS - there are SO MANY amp sims I haven't used but got to stop somewhere. Or at least stop a while to play.
  6. True, Zo! I loved your walkthrough! Each amp has such unique character. It's easy to tell them apart even with effects in the chain. The presets are excellent on their own or as starting points for building out your own presets. I was torn between this and the Fortin Nameless Suite, but really happy with the purchase. I usually gravitated toward "complete" packages in the past that include everything and the kitchen sink but I really appreciate the simplicity of this tool. My new fave, hands down.
  7. I just bought this plugin last week and I've replaced about half of my active projects with it. It's simple, flexible, and sounds fantastic. 8. I sent an email to every email address I could find on their home page. Someone just got back to me with the code. Registering now!
  9. Got the package with booklet and USB, did the initial registration with XChange but haven't received the security code via email to get to the serial #s.
  10. Anyone buy this and NOT received the security code from Xchange? It's been 3 days...
  11. Howard Benson/STL Tonality. All the talk about Nembrini on the other thread made me want to find a simple plugin with a limited number of amps (but more than one), effects, and cabs.
  12. Hi, all. Lots of interest in my extra MSP3 upgrade; I have a buyer.
  13. I think so, Piotr. Maybe I should leave work and run the installer to be sure.
  14. I hope Mike in support is a real human. He's always been extremely helpful and timely (queue robot voice).
  15. What a wild ride. I bought the MSP 2.1 cross grade on August 6. I sent Izotope a note asking about the grace period and didn't hear back so after 3 days bought an update to MSP3 from someone here who was in the same situation: didn't know if the grace period applied but also didn't want to miss the $99 deal Tomgu found earlier in the week at Recordingsoftware.com. Once I was done sending my payment to the seller, I checked the Izotope portal and the MSP3 update was in there - probably added only hours earlier since I had checked at lunch. If anyone is interested in buying my extra update at that great price, just let me know. Izotope are ready to do the transfer fee free. Poor Lars at customer support. He's been a champ.
  16. I think a lot of us are asking - haven't heard back in a couple of days and the banner on the Izotope support page warns of high volume of traffic.
  17. Yup - A great deal, indeed. Thanks, SuperDan54 and Larry.
  18. Where/when was this $68 deal? Was it the upgrade from 2.1? Sorry, missed the $99 "error" sale so don't want to miss another cheaper option than the $199 or so using the usual offers.
  19. Anyone know if the Total Studio Max crossgrade would be cheaper at Black Friday? I see it as an upgrade path at $419 in my account.
  20. Ah, Right. Sorry, I was talking MPS3. I agree on the 08A upgrade. I just upgraded to MPS2.1 not long ago, so I'm still O8A through the paces.
  21. But...but...TWO MORE REVERBS. And videos for how to use them. OK, I'll shut right up now.
