  1. A small list of a few User Interface updates that I think would be very convenient\useful... 1. "Grey Out" midi faders and pan controls that have "Disabled Control" enabled... Kind of the same as when you archive a track, the M S R buttons are greyed out... Or even put the value in parentheses (101)... Many times I will disable these controls if I'm adjusting them in an another place, be it a plugin or on a synth... If you move them they "auto-enable" and will send the midi data to the plugin or keyboard... I may not always remember what the parameter was set at... If the controls are "greyed out" visually it would serves as a reminder, don't adjust me... 😃 ... Perhaps some of these may have been requested before... 2. Ability to "Re-Order" the instruments in the Synth Rack... 3. Ability to move\relocate the flyout QuadCurve EQ... 4. Track Properties Tab , Inspector, Description... A visually indication if a note has been added to a track in this area, the button a different color... 5. Tempo Tab in Inspector... A visually indication if there are tempo changes in the project, the button a different color...
  2. If you would stop playing the keyboard before you change tracks wouldn't this effectively stop generating the midi events which would in turn send no midi events to any track?
  3. Thanks for reloading... Much appreciated...
  4. If love is what you seek You can come to me for love reaction Every now and then You will need a friend for love reaction It's the right time for love reaction It's the right time for love reaction "Love Reaction" is a single by American performance artist Divine, released in 1983 Yea Baby...
  5. If you would add the Delay effect to the Audio Clips and not the Track FX bin you could achieve the results you are looking for... You would have two different Sonitus Delay plugins, one on each clip... Using real-time effects, Effects on clips - https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Mixing.30.html
  6. Everyone who uses Cakewalk has this issue... Maybe a lot of people are not aware of it...
  7. Perhaps another method that will give you the desired results... Copy the clip to your other track and Paste Special and click "Link to Original Clip"... This does not create another Clip but will let you "Freeze" the track without having to record in real time... If you want your Audio FX applied to the track you need to use the Apply Audio FX... Process -> Apply Effect -> Audio Effects... This does not have to be done in real time... If you are using an Aux Track you would need to set the input to "None" when you are done...
  8. Yes, I have the exact same problem with midi input\output settings... The problem is caused by external usb\firewire midi drivers... If you open a project without the external synth on the midi device is not available to Windows (Not in Device Manager...)... So Cakewalk can not find the midi device so it assigns a new midi device to the input\output... Not sure how but Cakewalk uses a numbering procedure for storing midi devices in the project... @Noel Borthwick In the early years, in Pro Audio\Sonar you had to always have your output devices listed in the same order from top to bottom... Preferences->Midi->Outputs->Move Devices to Top... If you work on a project without one of your external USB midi devices off and store the project, it stores the "New" midi drive that Cakewalk assigned... Next time you open the project your Midi Inputs\Outputs now have the "Assigned" midi device instead... This issue has been brought up in this forum before by Cakewalk users...
  9. Thanks scook... I downloaded all of those plugins shortly after you posted that back in September (Download Sep. 10)... I just checked my VST list and I don't think I installed them... The MidiChFilter looks good for sending midi to multiple track... But for needing to sending midi to a VST and a hardware synth at one time from one track it would end up creating more tracks... Instead of two tracks to do the job of one it would create even more...
  10. That's a good idea... I have tried it with a few plugin, but the ones I tried will not "echo" midi thru the plugin back to the midi output... It would be great if the ones I use would...
  11. I totally agree with you on the Midi Outputs...
  12. As a keyboard player I record all of my keyboard tracks to Midi Tracks... I use to record them to Audio Tracks back in the day of tape recorders... Then I bought a Yamaha SY85 (93), A computer (95) and a DAW, Cakewalk Pro Audio 7 (98) and I have recorded my Keyboards to Midi ever since... I have some projects that have 30 or more Midi Tracks and not a single Audio Clip, go to the Audio Folder and it is empty... Also have some that have all Audio Tracks and no Midi Tracks (Guitar songs...)... On my computer I have more Midi Outputs than I have Audio Outputs... I can send an Audio Track to "any" Output, to 5 or 6 Outputs or more, to a Stereo Bus, to even more Buses, to an Aux Track, to a side chain of a plug-in, I can create a "New" Bus... But I can only send a Midi Track to "One" single Output or Soft Synth... If I want to send the same track to another source, be it a Midi Effect, a Soft Synth, another Keyboard (I have more than one...) I have to duplicate the track... And then maybe even duplicate it again and again if I an doing a large string arrangement... It would be so nice to be able to send a Midi Track to a Midi FX on an Aux Track, or just an Aux Track or to another Midi Output or two with a little "Send" knob... Apparently Cubase has this feature, I don't know, I don't use Cubase... I have Cubase, it came with my Yamaha Motif XF ten years ago... I installed it, use it for about half of a song project and then uninstalled it... Did not like it... I love Cakewalk, been using it for about 25 years, Pro Audio 7, about the time Noel joined the Cakewalk team... It would be great if the Bakers could add Midi Sends and Midi Aux Tracks to CflatB... Midi Tracks deserve the same respect that Audio Tracks get...
  13. DirectWave.dll is the 32 bit VST2 version of the DirectWave VSTi Sample Player from Image-Line for FL Studio... It is incompatible with a 64 bit host... Cakewalk is a 64 bit program... The 64 bit version of DirectWave will run in Cakewalk and the VST file is DirectWave_x64.dll which is a VSTi2... So there are two possibilities... 1, You added C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio\Plugins\Fruity\Generators to your Cakewalk vst scan list or 2, You moved the Fruity Generators to your Cakewalk vst folder... If you really have your heart set on using DirectWave in Cakewalk move the 32 bit DirectWave.dll to a folder that Cakewalk VST scan does not scan and keep the DirectWave_x64.dll...
  14. Yes, it really can be a pain if you have a lot of "notes" in the browser...
  15. Need to bring this to the front again... +1... Don't know how many times I clicked on the tiny EQ expecting the "Fly Out" to come popping up...
  16. +1... Good idea... You also loose the ability to "Mouse Scroll" and the scroll bar disappears when you click in the Notes box to edit and the font goes to bold... You have to use the arrow keys to get to the bottom when the scroll bar disappears...
  17. You're very welcome... Glad I could be of assistance...
  18. You have "Bank" set to 10240 and "Patch" set to 16... Every time you press play it will send and select that patch... In the Track Inspector, left side on the top image, under the FX bin... Top, 5: Cakewalk - Is the channel, channel 5... Middle, 10240 is the "Bank" number... Bottom, 16 is the "Patch" number... Set 10240 and 16 to "None" and then select your patch on the TTS-1...
