    Always Love You

I like the nice simple arpeggio guitar on this track - a killer lead and BGVs as always - another great track there Rex. Andy
  2. Agree with Tom - the drums could be cleaner - harp and guitars sound just great. Nice job. Andy
  3. Another vote for bricks and mortar here, never done it any other way. I've bought my last three guitars from the same store (it's a 60-mile round trip for me), the buying experience and after sales is second to none - I would simply never go anywhere else. A mate a mine is an avid guitar collector and buys almost all of his guitars online and on eBay, he's rarely had a problem but he's on first name terms with his local guitar tech. 😉 Andy
  4. In that case, extra kudos to you. I don't suppose you'd be up for sharing the dots or tab - I wouldn't mind a go at it - sounds like a challenge. Great work Andy
  5. It has quite a rubato feel (which I quite like), it's easy to overcook the tempo changes, good tone and technique on those gliss notes. What guitar is it out of interest and did you mic it or DI? I like the harmonic to finish 👍 is this an original composition? Andy
  6. Can't see my user profile or messages any more on the mobile site but I'm sure it will come back. You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. 😉 Overall, I like it. 👍
  7. Mesmerising to watch (those triplets 🙈) - this is perfect as it is. Really enjoyed that and the piano sound is gorgeous btw. 👍👍👍 Andy
  8. Very classy that Nigel - sounded great and the video work was very impressive indeed. Andy
  9. Opening reminds me slightly of Fool's Overture by Supertramp. There's a lot to enjoy here - all 12:43 of it 😊 - loved the vocals and harmonies as well as the guitar work. Must have been a lot of work - well done. Andy
  10. It doesn't make them useless but it does increase online risk. I don't recall saying I was 'afraid to use the Internet'. I've worked in cybersec for 25 years, so I know my way around PCs, networks, firewalls and patching risks, thanks. I can make my own judgement calls on whether I want to continue using an unsupported OS. Cheers all the same. Andy
  11. I think I'm done with plugins for a while. I need to replace my ageing laptop when Win 10 goes out of support but I'm milking every last ounce out of it before I do. I've been looking at potential suppliers of a replacement and they seem extortionate for a dedicated music PC, so not sure where I'll source one yet. Meanwhile I'd better hope that contract extension comes through... 😂 Andy
  12. Beautifully done - very enjoyable - stunning photos btw. Andy
  13. Jesse only you could have written and performed that - and carried it off quite so successfully - well done. As Tom says: funky, disturbing and very likeable for sure. 🙂 Andy
  14. Lovely mix, guitar tone is sweet and the vocal is extremely good. I hope you find your duet partner to complete the song as you intend - please post a version if you do. Great stuff Andy

    BLACK SHEEP!

Just terrific work all round - really enjoyed this 👏👏👏 Andy
  16. I wouldn't sweat it John, my beaten up old i7 laptop only has four cores, although it still just about limps along thanks to 32Gb of RAM and a couple of SSDs. I'll be be darned if I'm going to replace it until Win 10 goes out of support (the CPU isn't on infamous Microshaft yes list). It runs S1 Pro 5 well enough, so I can always switch to that, but I expect it to be able to run new Sonar. We'll see, not one worth getting bent out of shape for in my view but I can understand your concern. Andy
  17. I have the same ones and mix on them almost exclusively - for two reasons: My room is multi-purpose and not treated; I have zero plans to change that. Something of an unwritten rule in our house not to subject the others who happen to be in residence to your music (and I like a quiet life) - my son is in to Dance music and D'n'B - I have zero tolerance for him to start playing that on his speakers any time soon! So I think you can get decent results mixing on cans (others who have listened to my output my well disagree) but you certainly won't be short of opinion - that's for sure. Good luck with it. Andy

    The Song

Commented on Bandlab Gary, love the song, the vocals are just superb. Great stuff. Andy

    River's Bend

Lovely bit of late evening chill that - nicely done - very enjoyable. Lead nylon guitar has a lovely tone - please tell me that's the real thing and not a VST. Andy
  20. Made in China I can live with, shipped from China is another matter as it can take six weeks. I got one called GreenCell in the end and seems to be working well so far.
  21. I get a few wrongly labelled spam mails but generally the Gmail filters seem to work pretty well. Sadly my email was in the MyFitnessPal breach a few years back and ever since then I get a constant feed of crap. I use BitDefender anti spam as an additional control via an Outlook plugin so maybe that helps. 🤷 Andy

    SILVERSTONE!

So good they should use it on the credits or for a highlight reel of the race. 😃 How do you play that stuff?? Your technique reminds me of Blackmore... Keep on rockin' Andy
  23. Sounds great - I quite like a long intro - the vocals have great presence and the guitar work blends in really well. Enjoyed the listen Andy
  24. These are synthetic vocals? 😲 Sounds pretty impressive to me - nice guitar tone - really great job. Andy

    affair

Very enjoyable instrumental Jack - flute sounds good and the horns - sort of a laid back house jazz meets 70s prog feel, quite the blend. 🙂 Great work! Andy
