  1. I will say Skippy is dedicated to making this thing a great plugin. They are very active in developing it and putting out bug fixes.
  2. Not going to lie, I'm curious after listening to some of the sounds in the video. I didn't make it to the end. Did he say when it goes on sale?
  3. Engine 3 is going to be released soon. I'm not sure if Best Service is developing it themselves now or if Magix is involved but Eduardo has talked about it a few times.
  4. I don't see sampling changing much with 2.0. Very few libraries go to the limit of what MIDI is capable of now. Synths on the other hand could greatly benefit from it.
  5. Your activations come from Best Service and you just use the response code with them when you put the license in the plugin. It's really simple. You don't really do anything with Magix.
  6. Keep in mind, codes for this product are personal codes. I got a completely different one so it's likely to be single use.
  7. I nearly spit out my drink when the guy at NAMM said it was going to be $1200. Just watching the video of it, the motors in the faders are terrible. Not smooth, too much bounce. Signs of cheap mechanical parts that won't last very long.
  8. I may be alone on this but based on the video on the website, I'm not all that impressed with the transitions between words and phrases. It runs into that typical robotic blocky sound issue that a lot of the vocal libraries run into but this sounds harsher than a lot of others.

Depending on how much you need to back up, you can use services like OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. for all the important files that need backed up. Another thing you can do is create a partition on your existing hard drive and move the files into that so they will not be erased when upgrading to 10. I've personally never had an issue with any of the computers I've migrated over but I understand the concern. There are ways around it though to protect your work without losing anything.
  10. Would be nice if it blacklisted ones it couldn't scan so it wouldn't get stuck in a loop.

Decrapify Windows 10 script is awesome for this.
  12. Yah, I have most of his presets already. I meant that the presets he made specifically for this were done using the freeware that it installs with so you don't need to buy anything more to use those particular ones if you didn't want to.

Just like how you can turn it off in Windows if you know what you're doing... Just be prepared for certain things to not work properly.
  15. It's almost like they took single samples, threw them into Kontakt and called it a day. Terrible.
  16. Those are all accessed using his GuruSampler included with Unify
  17. I don't know much about Ableton but can you save one and reopen it like you would a preset in other projects easily?
  18. All of his own patches are done using included freeware plugins. All the other plugins like Omnisphere are up to the user to make their own. First and foremost, this is a tool for sound design rather than his typical presets, etc. and you use anything you have in your personal collection with it. Think of it more like a Mainstage type thing but focused more at this point on recording. As Reid mentioned, this is highly focused on making multi patches across multiple instruments and using your own arsenal of plugins for processing.

I hate to tell you this but if you have a smartphone, the same thing is going on. It's listening to you right now so it can use keywords to advertise to you better. Likewise, Google is spying on you every time you make a search, many programs send data back to their servers, Apple sends the same type of data to it's servers, if you have Facebook or use Amazon, your whole argument against Windows 10 gets thrown out the window, the list goes on. As Promidi stated, the telemetry stuff can be turned off. It takes only a couple minutes to do and you can go deeper than the options if you wish and turn more off but you start to lose functionality which if you're not using a lot of that stuff, won't really matter. Automatic updates can likely be deferred or if you're brave, turned off completely though I would recommend keeping security updates on either way. Also, firewalls are wonderful things.
  20. Are they really trying to lose customers because this is how you lose customers. Seems like they have made a lot of boneheaded decisions the past year.
  21. I agree. I wanted to upgrade my Amplitube but found there was no real way to upgrade but apparently there used to be? So now I'd either have to wait for an "OMGSOGOODCANTPASSUPNOBRAINER" offer or just purchase the same things over again. Such a dumb way to go about it. At least when iZotope does this crap of buying the same products multiple times, it can be done using an actual upgrade.
  22. AHA! I found it. Good god why do they make this so confusing? It's at the top in big bold yellow https://id.korg.com/users/registered-products
  23. I have Arp and it's not dropping my price. I tried checking out with the other one that put the price at $149 but it wouldn't let me check out with that either. I sent support a message but not heard back yet. Guessing no one is in office today either. I really wish companies, especially ones with terribly outdated websites, would stop dropping new products right before they go on holidays again because it's one more day we don't have to get this right and their tickets end up building up quickly.
  24. I figured it out. You have to add it from here: https://korg.shop/software/korg-collection-series/upgrade-products.html If you try to add it from the actual page, it bumps to $200 for some reason.
