I'm still in the process of learning all of the changes to bandlab after being accustomed to sonar X1 for so many years. It looks like pro channel has a few of its own presets at the very top that are distinct from FX chain presets which are also distinct from the FX chain presets I've created back in sonar. I don't see any way to scroll through bandLab's FX chain presets. It looks like I have to load and then delete each one individually to preview it. Is there a better way? Thanks!

Wow thanks for all those ideas! I will check them out.

Add FX only to part of the clip
charles kasler replied to charles kasler's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Thanks. I'm just starting to explore this, I've always added the effect to the entire track before. I'd like to start by adding some delay to the end of a phrase or word. -
I love the sound of perfect space but there are relatively few controls. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to get more out of it, for things like early reflections or damping? Thanks.

I can do it by splitting the clip but according to an old post below you should be able to select and apply it only to the selected portion. It doesn't work for me, am I doing something wrong? It's not a big deal but just trying to save steps wherever I can. Thanks. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/3497-apply-an-effect-only-to-selected-are/&utm_source=pocket_mylist

The Cakewalk meters are pretty small. Anyone have a workaround or a favorite third party meter? Thanks.

a way to add plugs to several channel strips at once?

OK I do some spoken poetry with sound fx in the background. I want to use ducking on the sound fx & haven't found the right settings yet. Is Neutron unmask better than the compressor in this case? Is there any difference between using a module by itself as opposed to using them in the mothership? Is there a shortcut to add a relay (or any plug) to a number of tracks at once? Thanks.

There doesn't seem to be an izotope forum. Is there anywhere to share tips and tricks using izotope in cbb? Thanks

I lost beatscape somehow in the transition up to Win 10. Is there a way to get it back? Thanks!

This is new - it used to be there. The dll file is still listed in my folders. I rescan but it's not listed when I try to insert a synth. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, I just ordered a new large monitor but will probably not be able to use two due to space limitations. Still the much larger monitor will be a big boost.

i use a 17 inch PC laptop & it's pretty small. Are there any posts or advice on buying & adding a 2nd monitor? I have no experience with 2 monitors. Can you put channel strips on one & tracks on the other? thanks!

I need fairly large fonts for computer work so I adjust that in settings and CBB looks best when the scale and layout is 150%, at least on my laptop. But that's too much when I need to make changes like going from sound on sound to comping in the menu, I have to reduce the screen size to see the accept checkbox and then increase the screen size again to continue working. That's ridiculous and inefficient but I don't know any other alternative. Any suggestions are appreciated, I know it's more a computer than a CBB question but certainly affects my work. Thanks!
