I have it. The "air" is a bit subtle but not exactly transparent, and is actually set way lower than what I'd consider "air" (plenty of 12k all the way down to 4k). I see people use Neve's like this a lot, and it's usually not for me. It's not a shelf, but wide enough where it sounds kinda like it. That said, totally cranked it's maybe a 6dB boost. It's probably best to compare it to something like RVox from Waves. It's simple and doesn't really give you great control, but is quite useable in subtle ways. I'd also think of it more like a complimenting tool you'd add into a chain you already have, or one you might even daisy chain into itself. If you are a hobbyist, I suggest waiting at least at the $29 price point we love so much.

I've seen some hardware controllers that I think come with the plug ins. I enjoy this plug in but sometimes get weird pops (as if my audio buffer is set too low when it's not) when the audio 1st runs through it, then it's fine. I wish Decibel was fiddy hoff. I'd cop that riotneows.

I love the updates FabFilter does. I've always felt there are great value in any upgrade costs for the revised versions, and they clearly learn from user comment (Re: Timeless being a bit confusing, etc).
