  1. No release notes yet, but I guess this update is more related to adding native support for Apple Silicon.
  2. Yep. After upgrade now Ozone standalone app is universal binary:
  3. Izotope 9 version 9.12.0 is available from Isotope Product Portal. No release notes yet but it looks like in line with Relay and TBC 2 updates this should include Apple Silicon native version.
  4. And there are updates for all VMR modules and Fresh Air. No release notes so maybe is M1 support?
  5. I have the mac mini M1 16GB RAM 512GB SSD and the performance is impresive, even for games. Which is more impresive is that even under full render load its temperature never goes over 35°C and it dead silent. I have a Dell i7 11th generation laptop that gets really hot and noisy when pushed a little and it nevers delivers half of the performance of the mac mini. I can imagine how spectacular performance you will get with the specs of those Mac Studio. However I agree those machines are expensive and you must have serious processing power needs to be in a need for a computer like those. At least for me I am not yet able to reach 50% of workload in my M1 in Studio One with many dozens of tracks, 50+ plugins, some Virtual Instruments, Ozone 9 running in the master bus (!!!) and 32 samples buffer.
  6. Any recommendation? I don't have any Nugen plugin. I do have Neutron and Ozone advanced and Waves Horizon. Not sure if there is something here my current tools don't have.
  7. Well, last sundayI upgraded my Gold+Renmax (plus another few ones) bundle to Horizon for $129 at everyplugin. I received the notification to choose my 3 free plugins which I choose. Later on sunday I received 2 additional e-mails asking me to choose the plugins, I though it was just a repeated notification but I clicked in the link and it send me to the plugins page choose, I choose just for fun and it was registered in my account! Finally I received 9 free plugins with my upgrade! I can't complain of Waves now... I got Horizon + 9 plugins for $129, a nice en of year gift from them. Hope they don't take away the extra 6 plugins from my account.
  8. Neutron Release Notes: Bug Fixes & Improvements Fixed crash that could occur interacting with the Neutron preset manager when Voiceover Utility is enabled on macOS. Fixed crash that could occur interacting with the Neutron preset manager when using third-party Finder utility and window management applications on macOS (such as: DefaultFolderX, BetterSnapTool, etc...). Fixed a hang that could occur when loading sessions or interacting with the Neutron UI on macOS High Sierra (10.13). Updated installer to include Relay 1.2.1 & Tonal Balance Control 2.5.0.
  9. It's a good DAW but with serious limitations. I think it is gret for mixin and mastering but only when your stems are ready for mixing and not needing any edit. It does provide an analog mixing workflow and processing that let's you mix with very few plugins getting and incredible analog sound. I don't like the limitations of Mixbus but my mixes sound so good in this DAW with very little effort that I had to change my workflow. I recommend you to download a trial and do a simple mix. You will probable be amazed of how nice this thing sounds.
  10. I really appreciate it Larry and I can imagine all the work involved in your deals information.
  11. I moved out from Cubase because that ridiculous .5 version upgrade change. I don't know any other company that charge you for a .5 upgrade, even less if it is fur such soo small features upgrades. I remember when I hae Cubase I was asked to pay for the .5 upgrade which solved a known issue. Not to mention that Steinberg is painfuly slow to release patches for their bugs AND THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THOSE PATCHES!!! I really liked Cubase but that policy is absurd. And if you add to that their eLicenser then I am really surprised that people still uses Cubase these days considering other DAWs with way better upgrades policy, as Reaper, Cakewalk, Studio One, etc. Anyway, I check back from time to time if Cubase has changed their policies casue I would like to use it again, but sadly they stay with the same. Just my US$0.02
  12. In case someone is still interested... Version 9.9.0 released November 1, 2021 Operating System Support Changes Added support for Rosetta on Apple Silicon ARM-based Macs running macOS Big Sur. Bug Fixes Fixed AU validation failure that could occur on macOS Big Sur (Intel & Apple Silicon Rosetta). Fixed crash that could occur when Ozone was added to sessions alongside certain 3rd party plug-ins (MAAT, InaGRM, Sonnox, etc...). Fixed invisible inline edit text field boxes in AAX instances within Pro Tools on Big Sur (Intel & Apple Silicon Rosetta). Fixed failure to display reference track level in input meters when the associated option was enabled. Fixed crash that could occur on playback if a mono audio file was loaded in the Reference panel. Fixed incorrect latency compensation after enabling action region solo or after toggling Punchy/Smooth modes in the Side channel view of Low End Focus. Fixed long instantiation times on Windows machines that do not have PACE drivers installed. Fixed help button in the Options window. Fixed issue where NKS resources would be installed even when deselected during installation. Fixed issue where NKS resources were not properly installed when using Product Portal to install Ozone. Fix possible crash when loading a preset in the Ozone mothership plug-in that was saved in the Ozone app when plug-ins were in the module chain. Corrected errors in the Ozone 9 help documentation. Various additional bug fixes. General Updates All Ozone 9 plug-ins now appear under the manufacturer name "iZotope" (instead of "iZotope, Inc.") in all DAWs/NLEs. Maximizer Threshold Learn button has been moved to the module header area. Updated version of Relay included in the Ozone 9 Advanced installer to the latest release version (1.2.0).
  13. Trying to find the release notes but it looks like it is not yet published.
  14. I actually don't need anything from IK so I wasn't interested in the IK group buy, but now that the top tier was reached I am thinking in pulling the trigger just because it looks like the value for the money is a no brainer. I tried to read all the posts for the IK GB threads but it's a mess in there so I would lke to ask if someone could recomend a way to get the best value for the money in this promotion. I've read in some post that you could do something like purchasing Jampoints for something like $140 or so and then get into the $199 product tier, but I am not sure if this is yet possible or if I misread something. I have $126 Jampoints (I am not sure how could I use it) and a few products; Syntronic J-60; Amplitbe 4, 5 and CS with some modules; Sampletank CS and 3SE with some instruments; and T-RackS CS with some modules. Any suggestions?
  15. I have the full Reference 4 suite with a calibrated AKG headphone. I checked the new SoundID and for me the improvements and new features are nice but a little useless for me. I think it doesn't worth the upgrade. Also I bought Slate VSX last november and since then I barely used anything else, not even my monitors. VSX is a huge step up from Sonarworks, it is a totally different experience and extremely useful one. If you manage to find a VSX I really, really recommend to go for it.
  16. Finally!!! welcome back Larry we really missed you.
  17. I absolutely recommend you Ozone Standard (I mena you refer to that product), or any Standard version of iZotope products over the Elements versions. Standard versions are a huge step forward. Elements is more focused in users needing a very simple and straightforward tool (similar to Toontrack EZMix). If you are not that kind of user then standard or advance are the versions for you.
  18. I think that along with Steinberg, IK is one of the worst. They charge you for downloading the sound files you already bought! This is they give you 6 month to download the soundpacks, if you have to download it after those 6 months you must purchase a download pack in order to be able to download it again. The only thing they get with those practices is to discourage anyone from purchasing they products. Aaaand you have that stupid installer that install all of the plugins they sell even if you purchase only one of them... I have Amplitube, Sampletank and T-Racks and for sure I would buy more products from them cause I really like them, but I am not going to support a company with those stupid practices that only looks for getting money from their customers at all costs. PD: I hate steinberg for their e-License thing and because they charge you and update fee for x.5 versions updates that corrects their own bugs. I really don't understand a company that charges you for correcting their mistakes. Is there any other software company that charge you an update rate for going from x.0 to x.5 version? ridiculous. This is why I move from Cubase to Reaper.
  19. All Reaper version works like @Starship Krupa said. You can use it for 60 days without any nag, but after the 60 days you must buy a license, that is why the nag screen is showed after the 60 days period. By the way, Reaper is not free. You should buy a license (which is quite affordable) if you plan to keep using it after the 60 days trial period.
