I'm sorry, I thought I heard a vocal sample of Crazy Train in your song, my apologies. I guess it just sounds similar.

Thanks so much Douglas, I try my best to keep my standards high, but I'm not a pro, I'm just working my way to that level still.

This sounds very catchy, Like Jack C suggested, maybe some more low end, but considering you only took 3 hours, pretty good stuff.
-
This sounds very professional

Never in a million years would I have thought of dropping that sample on a track like this, but not only did you think of it, you made it work. This is very catchy!

Haha, I really appreciate that! If you only knew the budget I work with! These were recorded on a CAD gxl2200, not exactly the greatest mic. It's actually died since then, so there's that. Anyhow, thanks for the love!

Something I did not too long ago, completely in cakewalk, figured I'd share it here. Hope you guys like. https://open.spotify.com/album/56HLqKL3Z2zZunEtJ9QI7w?highlight=spotify:track:3Cj5qz0JrbKzANB48UNDKQ Edit: Sorry for any confusion, was trying to get it to post an embed without a click through link. Hope you all like it all the same, thanks.

Welp, I figured it out. It's a bit cumbersome, and so I thought I should put it here in case anyone else has my idea or problem and can't get it to work. Situation: M-Audio Keystation either maps it's transport functions properly, but not it's fader, or maps the fader but not it's transport. Solution: I ended up using 2 ACT Control setups at the same time. 1. For general Transport functions I setup ACT control with the inputs/outputs being MIDII2 not Keystation 49. These you can use the normal click and learn function to get your regular transport (play, stop, record) buttons setup. 2. For the single fader on the keystation, I setup a Cakewalk generic surface control using Keystation 49 as the input/output on the controller setup page, and did the learn function afterward, moving my fader. IMPORTANT: make sure you pick different colors for the controllers so that you know which one is which. For the fader controller, I use red, that way I know which track I'm on at all times. The transport functions work even if I'm on the fader setup. To move the fader control to a different track, grab the color, left click it and pull to the track you want it on. Simple as that. I hope this helps anyone that is in my same situation. I just wanted to control the daw without having to buy a mixer or a seperate fader when I had a perfectly fine fader on my keyboard. Now I can do fader rides and simple level adjustments with the actual feel of hardware, without having to use the mousewheel.

Yes Reginald, thanks, I already have it connected, I'm only trying to configure the fader specifically on my keyboard controller. Everything else works fine, thanks for the heads up though.

Hi everyone. Quick question for those more knowledgeable than me. I have a simple midi controller, m-audio keystation 49 mk3. I have it mapped out to my liking, but I would like to map the fader to the faders in the daw. I had this setup with this exact keyboard when I previously owned it in my sonar days, but I can't for the life of me remember what I did different. I used to be able to ride the individual track fader of the track selected no problem. Now no matter how, even act learn, nothing seems to work. Anyone else have this setup could point me in the right direction? Thanks.

[CLOSED] Cakewalk 2021.04 Early Access 2
Helios.G replied to Morten Saether's topic in Early Access Program
I'd used Sonar for years, and migrated to CBB (is that the acronym?) a while ago, but this is the first time that I've been motivated to write or post anything in the forums. Great great update guys, very smooth. So far no hiccups whatsoever. And is it me, or did you guys do something about the gui resolution scaling? My screen isn't the best or biggest, but I swear everything looks sharper and crisper. Text, wave forms, you name it, just looks a little clearer and sharper to me. Tell me I'm not going crazy here? lol. Anyhow, great job as always guys.
