The thread title content regardless of length is what draws people in .. just like a newspaper headline online in facebook etc. People in media organisations specialise in just that .. crafting headlines. Lets be honest, most people read the headline on soc media and come to conclusions just with that headline, never read the article. Then comment "expertly" on the post with the headline NOT having read the article at all Edited January 6, 2023 by aidan o driscoll
hockeyjx
I tend to either love his songs, or think they kind of are "meh". This one seems really bland to me (as I put the flame shields up). Wish I had seen him live though during the US tour in particular. His band is top notch.

hockeyjx
@aidan o driscoll Oh, I read that, I just think he is no longer in his prime. So and Us were both awesome in my book and would have preferred to see him and the band back then.

These gigs will be doing all the stuff from SO and US guaranteed. All those band players are touring with him this year.

Who also did Tears For Fears' 1989 album The Seeds of Love along with Pino Palladino on bass. Another serious top album of all time in my view Edited January 6, 2023 by aidan o driscoll

I never got to see him in concert and really wish I had... Who knew at the time. I've seen him once, on The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway tour. The Dane County Coliseum in Madison, WI held about 8,500 in normal seating. They sold about 1,500 tickets for that show, so they set the stage up in the center of the floor, facing sideways. Everyone had a seat. No sitting on the floor in front of the stage. Much more intimate. They did the same thing for the next Genesis tour with Steve Hackett taking the lead (the one with the 100 or so 747 landing lights). It was also an excellent show. Genesis got too poppy for me after Hackett went solo (saw his excellent first solo show at the Park West in Chicago).

paulo
I went round to his house once. It was not to far from where I lived at the time and he had said in local media that he just wanted to be treated like a regular local guy and that people should feel free to pop round and have a chat etc.... so I did. He was either out or pretending to be out or maybe busy making a noise out back and couldn't hear the doorbell. The movie rights are still available if anyone is interested.
abacab
I was introduced to Genesis albums in the 70's during the Gabriel days, and became a fan. Have always liked Gabriel's voice. It's quite cool that he's collaborating with Brian Eno! A couple of outstanding music pioneers! Looking forward to good things to come!!!
