Wookiee
Tortured Sleep I quite understand those who do not make to the end it is experimental, soundtrack-ish perhaps even a little industrial. Thanks for listening. For those who do and may be interested the following instruments where used. Softubes Modular. Voltage Modular which is feeds into Outer Space (A Roland Space Echo emulation) From Arturia's V 7 Collection Buchla Easel V feeding an SME filter V and Echos T7E. Synthi V SEM V CS-80 V All produced in CbB using stock pro channel plugins except the Buchla which has the Boz +10dB compressor.

freddy j
I always make it to the end of your songs Wookiee. As I have said before, you have a great method for using sounds to create wonderful moods and ambiance in your songs. This sounds like the background music appropriate to some of my dreams. I particularly like the heavy sound in the beginning (it sounded like heavy breathing to me) that makes itself present throughout the song and in the ending. Really good stuff my friend!!
Wookiee
@kakku thank you, possibly. @freddyj my thanks glad it resonated, the breathing sound came from noise and a saw wave being swept through Buchla 296e Spectral Processor.
Douglas Kirby
It sounded ominous and dark to me - aptly fitting your song title. I think it would fit nicely for a film score which needed a mood such as this. I picked up on the what sounded like breathing at the beginning and the end. Nicely done.
Wookiee
@Douglas Kirby Thanks for the listen and comment, dark was intentional and the breathing sound was exactly what it was intended to be.
bjornpdx
Those darn banshees night after night. Pretty cool story - the breathing leading into tortured sleep and told in synthesized sounds. I'm not familiar with the Roland Space Echo thing but excellent use of those Arturia instruments.
daryl1968
scary stuff - any chance you could tuck me in and read me a story tonight mate? Cool soundscape that I wouldn't like to listen to late at night with headphones on...
Wookiee
@bjornpdx They run wild around here, glad you enjoyed the story. @daryl1968 Thank you that was the intent, I mean listening on headphones late at night preferably a dark and stormy one. Jesse Screed
Mr. Furry man, I loved it. I am glad t see you do something like this. Yes, very dark, and dense. It was like going backwards in slow motion on an upside down roller coaster in the dark and the attendant has left the gate at the queue for a tete a tete with the bearded fat lady and all the while my mother has put out an amber alert for her kitty kat that is sleeping in a shoe box in the basement bedroom closet LOVED IT
thegaltieribrothers
Hi Wookie, Dark, intense, eclectic. As if the moomins had got hold of some acid and decided sing a sonic nightmare. I wouldn't like to nod off listening to this in case I didn't make it back. Thanks for sharing. Good Job! regards paul
