Hi Carmen and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. I am not familiar with your foot-pedal controller (and I haven't read its manual), but if you could change the channel on which your foot pedal transmits MIDI, that's what I would look to. Unless you are asking about how to change the input channel in Cakewalk you can change the channel here (in red): Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Vincent and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Have you done a VST scan? Do they show up in the plugin manager? Kind regards, tecknot

How can I print arpeggiated notes into piano roll?
tecknot replied to Istvan Karsai's question in Q&A
Hi Istvan, I think I found a solution to your dilemma. At the time of inserting Synthmaster into your project, choose MIDI Source and First Synth Audio Out along with checking the Enable MIDI Output box: In the synth property page, click on ARP/SEQ tab and click the MIDI Output option to On (circled in yellow): You can close the synth propery page now. Then Insert a MIDI track into your project. In the Input of the MIDI track, select All inputs: Make sure you click on Input Echo in the Synthmaster MIDI track, Arm both MIDI tracks and you should be good to go. Let me know if you have any difficulty. Kind regards, tecknot -
You can find this setting from the Control Panel then to Sound, then the Play Back tab and click on Speaker/HP and there you click on the Advance tab. Under "Default Format" you can make a selection on the drop down list shown in red below: Kind regards, tecknot

Is this the ultimate interface? It's seems to cover everything as complex/complicated as it is. I never seen so many inputs on an audio interface. It has so many conveniences, I can't believe it. Someone tell me, is there a more comprehensive interface? Forgot to mention, for the price of $1499, it's a real deal! I thought, at first glance, it would be $1600. But that estimation went up quickly as I watched the promo video. Kind regards, tecknot

I would suggest using the Matrix View. You can drag and drop as many loops as you want into the cells and play them back one or many or all. It's pretty cool, I guess. Kind regards, tecknot

Anyone out there who can convert .cwb files to WAV files??
tecknot replied to Stafford Dungey's question in Q&A
Hi Stafford and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. No need to pay for this kind of help. You can simply pull any audio tracks from the Audio folder saved in the project folder. If you have MIDI files, you can bounce each track individually (https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Mixing.46.html#1098466) and then pull those audio files for the Audio folder. Of course you can pay me a small gratuity for the above instructions/suggestion. Kind regards, tecknot -
Hi Bnemo and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. You can simply delete the project (and associated audio files) in the (Windows) File Explorer. Kind regards, tecknot

Simple MIDI keyboard input settings for multiple soft synths
tecknot replied to Sven's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hi Sven, This is the perfect example where in a project template would come in very handy. Since you already know what synths you want to add and all the channels can be setup in the template, it's an ideal situation, particularly if you want simple and fast. Preparation saves a lot in the execution. Kind regards, tecknot -
Hi alan933, I suggest using Paste Special. This way you can put the copied clip exactly where you want it (along with a number of other options). Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Flubb and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Just one thing I can think of, what output is your Master buss set to? It should be set to your sound card/audio interface. After changing driver mode can change to the Master output (to none). Kind regards, tecknot

New to Bodhran Playing – Need Recommendations!
tecknot replied to Bridget Murphy's topic in Instruments & Effects
Hi Bridget, I am not sure that the Cakewalk forums are for you. These forums center on music production (software) where as your interest seem to be on playing acoustic instruments. I wish I had an appropriate link for you, but the instruments you mentioned are out of my field of "expertise". Kind regards, tecknot -
Hi Kuro and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Do you have any demo FX on any tracks? Do you see any meters reacting? Kind regards, tecknot

How to make piano roll show up in multidock rather than a seperate view?
tecknot replied to SeaDragonet's question in Q&A
Hi SeaDragonet and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Tell us how you are invoking the Piano Roll. Do you use the menu bar (View>Piano Roll) or are you double clicking on the desired clip? When I have a screen set with the multidock docked at the bottom, I just double click on the desired clip and the Piano Roll opens as a tab in the multidock. Kind regards, tecknot -
Si Instruments not showing in the menu
tecknot replied to Jeff Beresford's topic in Instruments & Effects
Hi Jeff and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Can you post a screenshot of your Plug-in Manager with VSTis selected so we can see if the Studio Instrument is present? It may be just a matter of inserting the plug-ins in the list of your VSTis or adding the install path to the plug-in scan properties. You may try to (re)scan your plug-ins (from Plug-in Manager) to see if they are picked up that way in case you haven't already done so. Kind regards, tecknot -
I am curious to see if the next/last CbB will go through the Early Access Program prior to final release. Kind regards, Living Room Rocker

FR: add audition and mute buttons to clip headers
tecknot replied to Starship Krupa's topic in Feedback Loop
This is an interesting idea and I think it would revolutionize DAWs if no other DAW has this feature. It would make each clip "live", if you will. The entire TV would be like one big MV. Interesting... Kind regards, tecknot
