  1. I've just gone for the Salu instrument Evolving - demo sounded nice and seems a decent amount of content for 22 euro!
  2. Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks for all the help this year!
  3. Hey guys none of this matters - all that matters is that I got there before Larry ?
  4. Thanks Peter - I had a quick listen through to the Kontakt libraries and although there is some good stuff in there I wasn't overwhelmed - especially as I have IK TotalStudio 2 Max and several other libraries & synths. However, as you suggest, the main temptation is the free libraries. I'm a tight git money wise but I'll mull it over during the holiday and will probably bite - after all my New Years Resolution is likely to be to spend more time making music and less on Facebook and forums ? Oh and drink less beer which would pay for Kontakt - that's how I justified buying TS2 Max ? - but only after drinking less beer!

  6. Ah damn - hadn't checked the T&C! I should have known from previous NI vouchers!
  7. Expires 31st December so I'll research further after Christmas!
  8. Can't see this one here. I don't seem able to post the link but head over to NI to find the voucher Cleverly it starts at a £90 spend - 50p more than a crossgrade to Kontakt7 so I would have to buy one of their £22 instruments / packs to get Kontakt cheaper. Pretty good deal though and I am increasingly tempted as Kontakt also includes two free Play Series (though I can't find much tempting in there!)
  9. Fair comment - I think some of us might have been (hopefully unnecessarily) worried about the way the thread might go I believe Mike is one of the good guys and I'm probably a bit over protective because of what I owe to his tutorials and the way he presents them. He has shown great candour in personal issues which I find warms me to him even more.
  10. I've been following DixonBeats for a couple of years now and not had any problems with spamming. He sends an email out when he has a new video up or (rarely) when he has some news. He has just done a huge giveway for reaching 80k YouTube followers and occasionally gives his own sample packs & VSTs away. One of the good guys in my opinion!
  11. Yes I'm eagerly looking forward to this year's gift. Got a few nice individual instruments with the voucher over last few years Re Spitfire - I think LABS dried up when Christian Henson left. He now has his own Crow Hill company and they have issued two free instruments so far. Piano and strings
  12. Thanks - shame that the Sine Free Instruments seem to have dried up
  13. Damn I didn't realise they were giving away limited numbers of licences this year otherwise I'd have been there! Having said that I haven't managed to figure out a previous version of Ostinato I got free yet!
  14. When I went to access the Beat magazine downloads last month I got a malware warning (from Malwarebytes Browser Guard I think). I can't imagine there would be a problem there but it frightened me off!
  15. That's how they reel you in. You'll be reading Mein Kampf next and forecasting arctic blasts in June ?
  16. mmm - I have downloaded this but, although it appears in my library browser, there seems to be no presets there. Also I am pretty sure I downloaded a load of other free presets when I first got Analog Lab Lite but they don't appear to be there now. Haven't used it for ages so maybe I'm misremembering!
  17. Forgetful Dictator looks fun - have downloaded. Thanks!
  18. I didn't realise they were based in Huddersfield! Used to visit there often when we lived in Bradford.
