I think all this is from the perspective of NOT having any presonus software already installed on ones System. I bought Studio 1 back in 2017 middle of all the CW meltdown, never really used it .. so not installed in ages. I thought these plugs were just standalone and free but it seems not.

Do you need the PRESONUS HUB installed to get use of these? I assume Presonus Hub is some sort of manager app like Bandlab Assistant or cakewalk command centre?

BUT we still need an audio editor for CAKEWALK dont we? So Soundforge in any version does that job and yes I know you also have Audacity. But for me traditionally and going way back it has been SF ..

An amazing piece of software & getting better and better all the time. I used to have and upgrade Modo, Lightwave but in last few years saw no reason with Blender around ... Only other 3D software I hang onto is ZBRUSH BUT thats because for some bizarre reason they have not charged for up to a decade of upgrades or there abouts. Im not sure who pays for it any more when you buy it initially. Strange that, but hey Im not complaining

In Cork City IRELAND we have a really interesting venue every summer .. Its called the MARQUEE in the Marina Area Cork City. A huge temp marquee setup for June and July with some amazing top acts and gigs. @Reid Rosefelt I have been subscribing for the last 6 months. I am a huge fan. The plugins work well in CW. You get to download 25 FREE loops every day, which is alot over 3 months. Most loop packs there have free loops included. Each loop is about 2 to 4 points, but each month you should get extra points added to use. I have 4000+ points at the moment. Recently here there was an offer to get an annual sub for half price, something like €50, I jumped, great value. Just tried that hoping it would resolve my problem .. However in my license section is this: Cannot activate any of them on my 2nd system. They are activated on my first system however BUT thats useless to me as I said, I move projects back and forth.

I am constantly having WAVESHELL errors when its time to scan for new VSTs. Here is the error: I just click on ENABLE .. but am wondering WHY this constantly pops up ..

One of the annoying things i find about the IK Multimedia T-RackS stuff is they really send you on a run around to get the installer etc. First to the IK Product Manager app to register, then to the website to download 1.7GB whole T-RacksS installer. Then when you install this it adds ALL T-RacksS efx etc, inc the ones you have not bought, adding them to your VST folders and then they come up in your CW VST lists .. really really annoying, unless i am doing something wrong of course

Do you have to leave the USB attached while a project with WAVES Vsts is loaded and running? Or connect, open project and then remove USB? Just being curious is all ... no worries either way

@Vernon Barnes How many systems can you have a WAVES License working on? I have 2 systems. Yesterday and for last while my Waves activations keep disappearing from my Laptop system ( WIFI ). To the point now I had to try recover as per your link above BUT that is only possible ONCE a year and not available until 2021. I am now at the point of moving away from using Waves plugs any more. Too flakey in this regard. I move projects tween 2 systems to work on. In one i am working on at the moment I used Waves Elements VSTi for a track, but am now going to switch to a similar sound in another VSTi.

Well .. quiet a good few people just want a sampler to chop and slice samples + time stretch and the like. And then effect them also. This is pretty much what Serato and Momentum are .. the gap they fill. There is no scripting in these apps as far as I am aware. They also cover a gap where price is concerned .. being FREE as is case with Momentum and $99 ( though on sale for $49 now ) for Serato.

Another interesting discovery. If you have a sample already loaded in a track or audio. After opening another track with Momentum, you can drag that sample from the other track into momentums mixer screen.

Remember guys .. ITS FREE to check it out .. only commitment is an email address & password. After that if you dont like the software just uninstall it and move on & forget it. No big effort really
