In my case mostly FREE stuff I picked up over the years. Interestingly I also have huge batch of old CDs from defunct music mags from the 90s on with lots of samples on those also. Very unique in fact as most of those samples were of the time and would not be available these days.

Just looking into Cloud storage in general vs USB Drives .. the latter can fail. I notice services like iDRIVE have 5TB per annum at less than $100 PA. I also have the 1TB with my Office 365, but onedrive is more a syncing service. A reason i am thinking to have such a service is not alone a place to backup CW project files and samples to the cloud BUT also maybe a place to store KONTAKT instruments etc and also maybe plugins like IK Multimedia stuff which has time limits on when you can download them. Also to store copy of VSTs in general. All this so as to cover an evetuallity that your drives/systems go down. Yip iDRIVE has a drive imaging feature, but in my case I use CW on 2 seperate systems but both have same Kontakt stuff, vsts etc So any other services people using? Carbonite, Sugarsync, Box, Amazon Drive etc ON SAMPLES - At the moment I have all my samples - lots of them - out on a USB Drive. I also subscribe to LOOPCLOUD so have gotten used to the idea and like the idea of Loops in the cloud where they can be auditioned there and only brought down to system into a project when needed. With the loopcloud plan you get 50GB storage included. My drive has approx 400GB of samples So just wondering are others here using cloud storage for samples and is there other services aside from loopcloud for this? Of course problem with amassing samples is its ENDLESS

I added this and had a look. Its initial UI is sparse but then there is the SETTINGS TAB. But that doesnt seem to have any control for what appears to be delays, chorus and reverb I think I am hearing in some of the presets

@mettelus Yes I also have all the Reallusion stuff inc Iclone and Cartoon Animator 4. Only issue with reallusion stuff is alot of its functionality is geared toward there own content .. trying to get you to buy. MOHO s a truer 2D animation application and is around alot longer than Reallusion stuff. And does not depend on trying to flog you content. yes i use Blender, have done so for years .. along with Lightwave, Realsoft 3D, MODO, Truespace back in the day and ZBrush and VUE

Posted this here at CW .. i reckon as well as being muso's some of you guys, like me might be into 2D and 3D animation / Graphics https://www.mohoanimation.com/ http://www.lostmarble.com/ We are very excited to announce that the Moho 2D animation software has been acquired by Lost Marble LLC, the company founded by Mike Clifton, the original creator of Moho, and Victor Paredes, Supervisor of Moho animation at Cartoon Saloon and former Moho Product Manager. Great news this, it has been withering on the vine at Smith Micro. I think we here as CW users can empatise with this The CARTOON SALOON is a fantastic animation company based in Kilkenny, Ireland https://www.cartoonsaloon.ie/ I am a user of this since the Lost Marble days, great to see its back to Lost Marble again

If you have LOOPCLOUD SUB and you get this or any other pack at Loopmasters, once purchased it is auto added to your Loopcloud LIBRARY for use ( a tab in the loopcloud app ). So no need to download. You can audition each loop from the cloud and add the ones you want ONLY via the loopcloud plugin inside CW. I would imagine even if you HAD loopcloud sub and cancelled but still have the app installed with past loop purchases, this new pack will appear in your library in the loopcloud app. It still works as an organiser etc for your past purchases, but should work for any new loop packs added to your loopmasters account

Yes you can deactivate and reactivate on another computer BUT it is done via ILOK which means you have to remember each time & I am not sure is there a limit to amount of times you can do this? With respect to dongle I dont think you or I can make an ILOK dongle, I think you have to buy one from ILOK?

I was about to post the same comment. I also have EXCALIBUR and that is the one big flaw in this. You cannot switch the single lic from one system you are using to another .. so yes it means 2x the price. Still a good deal but not as sweet

When you download on PC its in a ZIP File. Move that zip file where you like and unzip it. Then you see 4 folders .. each having subfolders with patches, samples etc. Rather than going to the I add the %programdata%\Propellerhead Software\Soundbanks folder I setup a folder under Audio Data\Reason\Soundbanks and add that unzipped folder there. Previously .. When you have reason open, over in the BROWSER panel on the left where you have Instruments, effects, utilities .. factory sounds .. This PC etc .. just drag the ( in my case ) Audio Data\Reason\Soundbanks folder to there so infuture any sound banks you add under soundbanks is accessible from the Browser Panel in Reason. In my case i am using Reason 11 Intro. The patches dont work because: So it looks like you need the FULL Version of Reason for this pack?

unfortunately it is a thing now with the likes of Google home, Nest and any of the other IOT ( internet of things ) devices. An aquantance told me recently when a major power ourtage happened in an area that due to using NEST type sevices people could not turn on there lights indoors and a whole lot of other things because systems like that literally are wired to control all this now in some abodes. The ultimate in lazy .. creates a whole attitude of couldnt be arsed. And something to blame .. twas the electrics fault i couldnt do A b or C

Really does expose a huge flaw doesnt it .. the massive reliance on cloud services provided by a very small few companies - Google, Microsoft From a tweet: Google was down for what, twenty minutes? In that time I couldn't access any of my work, at all, couldn't view the monitor in the baby's bedroom, and missed a delivery because the doorbell didn't work. This is absolutely absolutely no way to live.
