  1. @Bapu @paulo This is what I get most times I open NEXT. Activation each time I dont have the new Sonar access yet, though I applied for beta good while back ..
  2. @Bridget Murphy Every year since mid 90s I have threatened not to watch Eurovision because, from there, we lost our Eurovision mojo somehow and failed to either qualify or win since. But each year I relent and find I am drawn to it, with HOPE that once again we might qualify for a final again. This years the Eurovision is 2 semi final nights in Malmo Sweden - 7th and 9th of May. The final is on the 11th of May. Each year, either five or six countries are exempt from the drawing for competing in the semi-finals, go straight to final: the "Big Five" (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom) and the host country, if the host is not one of the "Big Five". The big 5 are exempt because traditionally they are the main funders it seems. Last time Ireland won was in 1996 - Eimear Quinn with THE VOICE ( Vid below ) In the intervening time the number of countries partaking in Eurovision substantially increased especially with East European ( Former warsaw Pact, ex USSR ) countries joining. All sorts of rumours of voting pacts etc etc changed the dynamic. It is more than what it was in the 90s now .. No longer just a song contest. It is all about a big show now, theatrics etc. It is a spectical now which is great and there are generally more than a good few decent songs in there. The issue with Ireland and its Eurosong local in country selection process was that they were stuck in the 90s / pre 90s and tended to send pretty bland stuff. Some saying that the national broadcaster ( RTE ) did not take it seriously enough. In last 2, 3 years they upped there game a bit by having more involved in the voting process - 3 juries - an "International" Jury, A studio/local Jury and then the listeners / text in making up the scores. So this year has been interesting with the selection of BAMBIE THUG. The track is definitely far far different than what we presented for the last 28 years. Its in your face, brilliant theatrics, costumes and delivery, should translate really well on a big stage in Malmo Sweden. Its already getting much discussion across Europe and Eurovision youtube channels, forums, social media which is what you want. Most comment really likes it and are surprised .. THIS, from IRELAND? .. a sort of welcome back Ireland also The eurosong voting last friday night in Ireland ( on the Late Late Show ) was interesting. Six tracks inc Bambie Thug. Favourite was Erica Cody track. Louis Walsh had a Boy Bland ( sorry band ) track in there. The International jury gave there votes to that track. But the local jury and the public gave overwhelming vote to Bambie - general consensus was we need to seriously do something different this time. At the betting odds sites we are in the top 7 to win so far ( SWEDEN is 6th ), that hasnt happened to an Irish entry for 28 years .. so we must finally be doing something right. https://www.paddypower.com/special-bets/eurovision Bambie is from CO. CORK ( Macroom ). Me also a Corkonian so maybe biased ... National radio station RTE Radio 1 interviewed Bambie other morning, here is the podcast if you want to hear. Serious head on Bambie, knows whats needed, some big ideas for the night itself in Malmo. Also go listen to other material from Bambie Thug on Spotify, Youtube and the like. Some really pro great tracks like the one above in previous post and als track called Tsunami .. OK may not be for some peoples taste but vrey pro me thinks, great sound, well produced videos https://www.rte.ie/radio/radio1/clips/22348566/
  3. BTW I do think at this stage the USA should be in the Eurovision .. Canada etc if they wished. Australia have been in it for last few years. It really is no longer a Europe only event Articles below revolve around Eurovision 2023 ( last year in May ), but detail still applies https://www.irishmirror.ie/showbiz/us-gossip/america-isnt-eurovision-chaotic-attempt-29965092 To participate, a country must have a broadcaster that is operating within Europe as part of the EBU. It is then up to that broadcaster to choose their performer either through a national, televised, selection process or via an internal selection. The country then decides to send their number one star or best new talent and have them locked in by mid-March. The EBU has just announced Eurovision Canada, a spin-off competition based solely in the North American nation. Kicking off in 2023, artists from Canada’s 10 provinces and territories will battle it out for the top prize. The EBU stated: "The format will position artists head-to-head against other provincial/territorial representatives in a series of televised Qualifier Competitions, leading to Semi-Finals and the ultimate primetime Grand Finale." There are no plans for Canada to take part in the main competition - with the same applying for the US. What Is Eurovision? 4. Big things ahead for Bambie me things. Lots of material, much of it recent on youtube. Really like this track LOVE BITES .. well produced, sparse, show off the vocals too
  5. So Ireland voted to send BAMBIE THUG to Eurovision 24 .. THEY will do really well .. finally Ireland have picked an act that will compete well at a Eurovision ( last time was mid 90s ).
  6. As i am from ireland i will start this thread with the Irish hopefuls playing off against each other tonight. The EV is in Malmo Sweden this year ( Home of ABBA ) .. Both Ireland and Sweden are most successful EV nations, both have now won it 7 times, so grudge match this year tween the 2 .. will either of them win to move to 8 times. So all the national entries are being whittled down across Europe for the Final in malmo Sweden - Tue, May 7, 2024 – Sat, May 11, 2024. Tonight that happens in Ireland ( tune into the national station RTE 1 this evening at 9:30pm GMT ). Here are the 6 trax on offer: BAMBIE THUG - Doomsday Blue - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcFyY6hrhI4 So my fav is BAMBIE THUG - Marilyn Manson, Dark GAGA, a bit of rebelious Madonna rolled into one - but also because she is from a town called Macroom here in Co. Cork .. the county I hale from .. I love the light and shade in this track .. the unexpected Chorus with its hook BAMBIE won the national final, through to represent Ireland. On May 8th Bambie also got through the EV semi #1 and will be at the final on Sat May 11th
  7. I do note that when i go into the STORE in Analog Lab Pro and select FREE filter. I dont get alot of the free stuff listed there vs in the Sound Store online
  8. FIXED it - I went into Arturia Software Center and REINSTALLED Analog Lab Pro
  9. Just noticed this in Analog Lab Pro ( latest Version ) The Import and save options GREYED OUT. Whats that about I wonder?
  10. Yip agree. Not sure why they sent out this News letter. i have been a customer going back to very early days:
  11. So yes I know we already had access to the preset store and there was some FREE Stuff there. Just got this email from Arturia saying: Introducing the Arturia Sound Store Expand with hundreds of extra sounds for free, or treat your workflow to premium presets from world-class sound designers: check out the Arturia Sound Store right inside Analog Lab Play, updated monthly. Am I dreaming this or was it always this way .. I choose FREE and there seems to be far far more FREE preset packs available there now? https://www.arturia.com/sounds
  12. RIPX Daw is £99 - https://hitnmix.com/ripx-daw/ RIPX Daw Pro is £198 - https://hitnmix.com/ripx-daw-pro/
  13. Nice lot of old school 90s, early 2000s retro games
  14. Yip - but then thats IF these are useful to you I reckon. Im just being truthful to myself. I upgraded a destop PC of mine last while with SSD and took opportunity to only install what i use plugins, software wise. This included only installing what I truthfully use in Komplete rather than installing alot of what i call the bloat vs actual core items
  15. Thanks @Carlos Iglesias @GoncaloL ... I tend to look at Komplete from perspective of the core instruments .. the rest to me is bloat eg the expansions and play series. I would say if we wre all honest to ourselves we do NOT use these things much if at all. Take all that out and there really is not much bar Kontakt 7 full in K14?
  16. I slept on this possible upgr to K14 standard from 13, and even though its about €65 to do so with coupon, is it still worth it with respect to the meat and veg core of Komplete instrument wise. Outside of play series and expansion froth ( ) the only core addition is Kontakt 7?? Plus a few guitar instruments? The Q I am asking myself is I imagine K15 will happen 2024? Is it best hang onto this €65 for then?
  17. Anybody know of €14.50 expansion NOT included in Komplete 14 standard? I am adding an expansion to the upgr price for Komplete 14 standard to bump the price over €100 to make use of the €50 coupon
  18. I was incorrect. It does work. I added the Komplete 14 standard UPGR to the basket and as suggested by @jngnz .. i also added a Massive X expansion for €14.50. Total: €114, less the €50 voucher code .. I get the Kompete 14 standard upgr for €64 ( though the Massive X expansion is in Komplete 14 already but does have its use to drop the K14 price to €64 vs €99.50 )
  19. Doesnt work with Komplete standard upgrade .. thats €99.50 for me from K13. Thought i might get it for €50 :D
  20. Crossgrade from Sonar X2 only it seems .. I imagine Cakewalk by BL not included "Requirements: crossgradedable DAW: from Live 9, Logic 9, Pro Tools 9, Cubase/Nuendo 5, Sonar X2, DP7, Acid Pro 6, Reason 6, Reaper 4, Samplitude 9, Mixcraft Pro 6, FL Studio 11, Bitwig Studio 2, Tracktion T7"
  21. Same here
  22. This has gone up also - now $149
  23. In both cases add CYBER2023 for further 10% discount
