  1. I had been going through this procedure already, when Thermionic was discontinued. Shaun added legacy products to my account. No drama, indeed. Yet, it's quite outdated, not being developed and, despite claims that the AmpCraft replaces Thermionic, it doesn't. Thermionic suite had dozens of amp models, not one. Also, there is no upgrade path from one product to another. The "drama", if you wish to call it that way, is not about regaining access to something very old and hardly relevant. IME, buying Kazrog software often leads to a dead end, when a purchased product becomes obsolete, abandoned and hidden from customer's account.
  2. I know that, thank you. I meant, that I don't like paying for stuff that is likely to become abandoned. Unfortunately, due to such moves Kazrog is one of developers that I don't associate with words "perpetual" and "trustworthy". YMMV.
  3. I think I already have such license for the Thermionik suite. Unfortunately, it's no longer available for download in my account. Another perpetual license for potentially abandon-ware? Thank you, but no!

    Quite a few, actually.
  5. Just finished testing the new amp models against other plugins. I was able to match both tone and response between competing products. My personal impression. It appears to be Amplitube meets TONEX kind of thing, if it makes sense. You definitely get very alive and natural sounding emulation of the real gear, which is easy to use and reacts to tweaks as it should. While this new amp emulation is a step in the right direction, it might not add anything new to your existing tool-set. Make sure to demo it first.
  6. Even if you change your name and address after placing an order, your initial address is stored in the order details. Scam site. I think it's time to create and pin a thread with scam web-sites and sellers. @Wookiee

  8. These new amps up the game for Overloud, no doubt. At first, it feels like either listening to real amp recorded or playing through ... Amplitube. Gotta test a little more against other plugins.

  12. Agreed. Their plugins still sound great and require very little CPU power. Both Pulse-TEC and All-Tec are my go-to EQs for mixing.
  13. LABS used to occupy gigabytes of drive space, although I never used them. Not once since they came out. In fact, they were so uninspiring, I never felt like shopping for Spitfire libraries. I hear good things about Albion, but then again, symphonic music is way above my league.
  14. Arguably, the best Hammond emulation on the market.
  15. Currently, TH-U is the most CPU-friendly amp-sim on the market. I wonder, if the new models will keep up to the rest of it in this department.
  16. AAS GS-2 used to be my go-to instrument for quick and dirty guitar mock-ups. A few years ago I injured my left wrist and was unable to play the guitar. Although now my wrist seems to have recovered from that injury, I still cannot practice/play for more than 30 minutes. That's why I'm looking for easy to use guitar instruments and libraries and often compare their UI/UX against GS-2. It's a very capable little gem (head and shoulders above UJAM, imo) that can do electric, acoustic and nylon string guitars; all strumming and picking is a breeze. The only downside- it cannot compete with quality sampled instruments tonewise.
  17. What I find really unique and thrilling about this plugin is the option to use Proteus models. I've been toying with the idea to write a framework like this, but it's a long shot for a humble start-up. I haven't tried it yet, but if it's possible to design a schematic in Proteus, load it into Genome and immediately hear what it sounds like - that's my dream come true! Awesome feature! (Allegedly)
  18. Well, these keys allow you to trigger only notes within a chord while you are never sure which degree (or string) is mapped to those keys in C2-A2 range. And, as I said, you won't be able to play embellishments, because your set of notes is limited by the played chord. As for guitarists, a real player would expect individual pitch keys to be mapped to a certain string, e.g., C2 -> 6th string, A2 -> 1st string. Not the case here. Check out AmpleSound guitars, AAS GS-2, AcousticSamples, etc.

  21. I've seen something that looked like single not playing, too. Yet, here we are, not able to find a way to do it with this toy "instrument". ?
  22. I tried it - deafening silence, unless you press one of the pattern keys.
  23. Demoing Silk 2. Hugely disappointed. This is not an instrument, but rather a player for built-in midi loops and patterns like strums and arpeggios. Arpeggios, however, have nothing in common with the guitar technique of the same name. Any DAW or MIDI-keyboard can do the same. Instrument page is a joke - you can't play single notes, just chords that have to be either strummed or picked. Although it is possible to play regular guitar arpeggios on the instrument page, I still wonder how playing arpeggios (picking every note) with one hand while holding a chord with another is better than just playing arpeggios? Also, you can't play any embellishments, like grace notes, slurs, etc. I must mention, that the recorded samples are not great, average at best. 7GB of disk space for something as useless as this piece of software? No, thanks!
