That's interesting Matthew; please note anyone else who owns ST4 MAX and downloaded CS content early like me (around 3 pm UK time yesterday).... When I looked in my account yesterday on first release of CS there was only a new version of ST4 MAX 4.1.0 with the new ST4 CS sound content listed under it so those two items were all that I downloaded. They installed and have been working fine (see my original post here). I went through every new instrument and checked that they worked and I didn't need to re-authorise anything, they just worked. The only thing I am missing is a separate CS executable but since I can access all of the new content in ST4 MAX why would i need it? Today, when I look in my account there are 2 new items that weren't there yesterday with their own serial numbers...SampleTank 4 CS and SampleTank Editor BETA. SampleTank 4 CS is the same executable as I already downloaded under the ST4 MAX link (many IK products seem to work this way) so I don't need to re-download that but I HAVE now authorised the CS serial in Auth Manager as well as the Editor BETA serial just to be on the safe side. Sampletank Editor BETA is a different product and is currently version 4.0.0 so needs separate download/installation. So, if like me you own MAX and downloaded any of this early on check your accounts again today!

Thanks for beta testing Larry! Seems pretty nice. I am just trying it out quickly in Cantabile Lite in admin mode 32 bit version (latest paid jbridge v1.75). If you click on the Preset Browser and type in Guide Me you get a quick tour of the instrument which is pretty cool although it's pretty straightforward without it ?

Thanks found it; strange location - I expected it to be where the word Category is! Can confirm that my display also shows the Sampletank 4 folder with duplicated content. Incidentally all of the new content (listed here) is present and works fine. Thanks IK!

I'm not seeing that Matthew. How are you getting "Folders" in the second column? Mine shows categories (see below) and I cannot see how to change it.

Hey Mesh sorry to hear of your GPU woes ? I have had a few different GPUs in my current PC and have gone from NVidia to AMD then back to Nvidia in recent years. The move from AMD was due to driver instability and I must say that I have found the NVidia cards to be reliable (maybe I was lucky). Your upgrade process looks OK to me although I didn't use DDU or update my onboard HD graphics drivers; just uninstalled old drivers and re-installed new ones. So I would go with Jim's suggestion.

I just downloaded v4.1.0 from my account along with the SampleTank_4_CS_Sound_Content and installed both. There's some good stuff in there like the Classic Tonewheel Organ OD with Leslie on the Mod wheel.

Even with VAT it's a heck of a deal! If only I had an "iron" will but alas it got to me!

You need to install Komplete Kontrol which comes with the free Komplete Start. (<-- links embedded in the words). It will then scan all of your plugins and their presets (including NKS patches like these Waldorf ones). You just need to make sure that the plugin VST folder location is included in the scanning locations in Preferences (see below). For me this was in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\

I think it was a quiz question that came up once. Didn't realise RW was with them that long though! All I can recall of the Strawbs was watching Lay Down on Top of the Pops and wishing I was the cool guy playing the Les Paul ? I didn't realise they used a Mellotron though. I will have to check out some of their albums.

The built-in ones seem to be called rather unimaginatively "Factory '84" then a number from 001 to 128. However, I also found some different patch banks in NKS format here... C:\Program Files (x86)\Waldorf\PPG Wave 2.V\nks_ContentDir\presets These can be used with Komplete Kontrol and some of these patches actually have descriptive names. Some of the folders have 128 patches and some less but even so that's another 800 plus (852 to be precise) presets to play with! EDIT: Just checking out those Michael Johnson presets. Some excellent ones!

I have R4 and Nimbus that came with the iZotope bundle (not to mention lots of others). So from the above comments I can't work out whether I need this or not. ? I'm erring on the side of not bothering as I already have the PB freebie.

Yes I use them all the time, especially Velocity and Transpose.

Yes it seems to do something very similar although I don't have a Frequout pedal (yet) my sustainer pickup produces similar results! Love that "Flying a Blue Dream"-esque demo in the above playlist.
