I've never got that to work Fleer. You would think that you could just sync your account (PC and iPad) and it would just happen automatically. I am on the Everything Bundle on the PC so would be good if I could make the IOS version reflect that. I'll put it on my isolation to-do list ?

I don't have composer (had heard of problems with it) only the producer suite so try loading just the 4 plugins that come with the latter. They don't need composer. Also, the chord plugin is needed to use the others so I usually load that first then melody, bass and arpeggio. One issue I have noticed is that one of the tracks can get out of time with the others especially if you are fiddling with the Orb settings but it usually works itself out if you stop and start again and any dragged MIDI is fine.

I got Shortnoise 1 for free in 2017 and thought it was good for free so purchased Shortnoise 2. Shortnoise 2 was only 9.99 when I bought it back then and is worth having at this price if you have full Kontakt.

I'm on Cubase 10 Pro (waiting for a deal on the upgrade to 10.5) but it hasn't crashed for me. What did you do to make it crash ?I'll see if I can replicate.

New Tuesday Tips video from Skippy.... Among other things he talks about some new addon libraries for Unify, modifying patches to make them your own and a unique feature of Unify (a patch can include other instances of Unify!)

RapidComposer 10th Anniversary Sale (40% Off Until April 15)
ZincT replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
This ^^^^ ? Let me know when you find it! Sundog Studio is also worth a look. I own and like ChordPotion by the same company but they have a new version of Sundog out and are doing 10% off at the moment so I will probably get that before the offer's over ( https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/13152-sundog-updated-to-36/ ). It's strange as I thought I would have more time with the current lock-down but, as it happens, having my daughter at home and home schooling I seem to have less time. So I will happily use any "song writing assistant" utility that I can get hold of! BTW I forgot to mention there was a new version of RapidComposer last month - v3.84 so it might be worth updating if you haven't for a while. -
After I created an account on my phone to obtain the free edition I was able to login to the account from my PC here --> https://pocketmags.com/musictech-magazine and read the magazine on my PC screen under "My Magazines". I was also able to add the free issue 168 (thanks for the heads-up) from my PC and read it there.

RapidComposer 10th Anniversary Sale (40% Off Until April 15)
ZincT replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I'll let you know when I have persevered with it a bit more When I first got it I worked my way through some of the tutorial videos on the website. I got some impressive results but thought the layout a bit un-intuitive. It's definitely worth spending more time with though and I do plan to do that. If you look on the website under Support --> RapidComposer --> there are lots of Tutorials, Videos, User Videos and a Forum. I think @Matthew Sorrels has been using it longer than me so he might have a bit more insight. Also worth a look is Orb Producer Suite. After having some initial problems in CbB (worked OK in Studio One 4 Pro, Cubase Pro and Reason) I was pretty impressed with it and you can get good results quickly. -
RapidComposer 10th Anniversary Sale (40% Off Until April 15)
ZincT replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
This is an amazing tool for composition but has quite a steep learning curve to say the least! I am hoping that version 4 improves things on that front. Last I heard it was supposed to be out in Spring 2020 which is now so maybe this sale is a pre-cursor to the launch of the new version. -
The only thing I can find on licensing is the EULA in User Manual. This states "This is a non-exclusive, single-user License." UPDATE: Since I don't think this is crystal clear on the subject I emailed the developer and he responded quickly... It uses an authorization file held within the Xenoverb installation folder. Excalibur does have reverb in it although I really meant that I preferred the modulation/effects capabilities in Excalibur. Whereas Xenoverb is a reverb first and foremost with some interesting mod/effects (Flow, Shimmer etc). Excalibur is amazing value for money at this price but Xenoverb less so and I could live without. There are demo versions of both available if you want to decide which one meets your needs. After all, one man's meat is another man's poison

Having quickly demo'd Excalibur for the same price I'd say get Excalibur! https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/13163-exponential-audio-excalibur/
-
Trying the demo. Gives you 21 days on a trial iLok license. From a quick demo I'd say get this and not Audiority Xenoverb (or both if you want)

Looks like it might be Denise Punisher .. https://www.pluginboutique.com/articles/1592

That was it! Doh! Thought I had entered it as shown but obviously not! ?♂️ Cheers
-
Yes it's pretty good Grem but I have too many Reverbs so it doesn't get much use It has some unusual options like Shimmer, Glass, Flow, Bode and Formant which takes it beyond most reverb capabilities for some special fx sounds. I got it for about the same price (£8.95) from PluginBoutique in December 2018.

Thanks Aidan. I did find the code eventually but it didn't work which I assume is because I also need to create a MusicTech Wetransfer account as well as a MusicTech account (already done the latter). I use Wetransfer quite a lot but have never needed to create an account. If I do create a general one do you know if that will also work as a MusicTech Wetransfer account or do I need a separate one for MusicTech as well? Cheers!

AS-16 Analog Sequencer Rack Extension for Reason Free
ZincT replied to Reid Rosefelt's topic in Deals
Hi Aiden, It's a sequencer so I think it has to be used with a separate sound source e.g. Thor, Europa etc. You have to connect the back panel CV and Gate outputs to the relevant inputs on the synth. Hope that helps. See this example for more details... -
Excellent idea Fleer, just in case anyone missed Larry's post

The Windows version had a few problems and they now have an updated demo available (v1.0.1) which seems to run much better if anyone wants to try it. https://www.imaginando.pt/products/frms/downloads

Thanks! Yup- Bumblefoot and Danny Gomez for Brian May addon. Noice!

Thanks for these Larry! I keep forgetting about all of the Waves downloadable preset packs. On a similar subject I had also forgotten about the T-Racks 5 presets until the recent update when I happened to click on the "download resources" button in my IK account. There are quite a few available....

I just received an email from Presonus with a voucher code for a free copy of Waves Super Tap Delay. So check your inboxes if you own S1P. I already own the delay as part of Waves Gold but appreciate the offer and could always use it on another PC.
