    Rapid Synth

I am also impressed with the sounds and effects. Some of those pads are exquisite. The fx plugin also has it's own presets and some very nice ones included. This synth is a beast! I also like that it uses a serial for authorisation. I notice that there are Starter and Tutorial banks and a User Guide which I'm sure will come in handy. Their YouTube channel also has plenty of useful content and quite a few Rapid tutorials in Ruta's channel. How is the Trance pack? I couldn't decide on an expansion although Synthwave/Tropical Delight would be more my thing. The sale is still on so I might go back and get one of these. Useful to see the Roadmap and that rating/favorites is planned in the next version which I missed in the current version.
  2. Great idea! With John behind it I firmly believe the sky literally IS the limit!
  3. That's a pity. Thanks for the response though. I have given up with MF/GC as it's more trouble than it's worth if you are in the UK. I'm sure the Dune 3 demo will convince you abacab! Must give those others a try (Repro, Zebra 2 and Beatzille). I also have and like their other freebies. Spire is another one that John Lehmkuhl keeps mentioning so may be worth an audition. I also have Pigments 2 which is great and I understand that JL is working on a Unify library for it.

That's weird Matthew. I mean I paid the VAT but I'm in the UK so it's expected but there seems to be a number of similar issues raised in the Rapid KVR forum from folk who are not usually expected to pay VAT. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/search.php?keywords=vat&t=470957&sf=msgonly
  5. Worth watching some of the recent (last couple of months) Livestreams Mesh. John's way of demoing it just gets you hooked. Cloud City is also a great addon library also from their website.

It's still available as of now (UK noon 17th August) Fleer.

Same here. It seems the full synth has a lot more content than the demo (which itself was very impressive) ?. I will maybe wait for BF to pick up a few of the expansions.
  8. Antares Autotune has been on Codemeter for a while and it has caused zero problems for me. They have also just migrated the AVOX suite across to Codemeter which was great timing for me as it also allows 2 installs - one for my existing PC and one for my new one while I migrate to it. Since Avenger is likely to be on a better deal nearer to BF I will wait for that one (although the demo is very impressive). I did pick up Rapid though as I think it's a major contender. I am now trying to focus on "big hitter" synths so the next one is likely to be one of .... Omnisphere (also some great PluginGuru libraries for it), Falcon, Serum (maybe), Avenger, Diva etc. I can wait for the appropriate sales though - not sure if Omnisphere is ever on sale? Pad Motion also got some very positive mentions in the chat during John's latest Unify Livestream on Saturday. He also demonstrated the awesomeness of Valhalla Shimmer!
  9. Thanks, I will await Zebra 3 with baited breath!
  10. It's also on my list Fleer and comes highly recommended. Trying the demo. Also on my list are Parawave Rapid (sale ends tomorrow), Dune 3 (not currently on sale but the demo is stunningly good) and U-HE Diva. Any thoughts on those Fleer?
  11. Unfortunately my days of wishing for a 6 pack are long gone
  12. Oh is that how it works I think that's why I haven't used it yet. That and having too much fun with Unify!
  13. Yes, that's when I bought it. Haven't used it yet though ?
  14. Thanks TS! I have 850 points that I have been unable to use as you need 1000 before you unlock the £5 voucher. So this offer should be very useful as if I spend £15 on Toontrack I will get 150 points (10 points per pound) making my total 1000 (for £5) plus 2000 points (£10) bonus which I can then use to buy the Studio One 5 Pro upgrade... and then get another 2000 points (£10) for buying Presonus!
  15. Thanks for checking Aidan. Yes these things are very annoying and I would have thought quite easy to fix.
  16. Looking at Video Pro X I notice that the Humble Bundle details say.. The MAGIX webpage for Video Pro X says that it includes... so despite not being mentioned by name in the Humble Bundle note it is ambiguous so I'm wondering whether that is also excluded in the Humble Bundle version. Any ideas @aidan o driscoll?
  17. You have to do the same with Acid Pro 9 which I already own. One annoyance with ACID Pro 9 is that under Options / Preferences / Folders the "Loop Collection Folder" option is present but non-functional (you cannot enter anything in it). So you cannot enter a custom folder to store the loops - @aidan o driscoll I'm wondering if this has been fixed in ACID Music Studio 11? With Acid Pro 9 if you download the loops they get stored for installation in C:\Users\{name}\Documents\MAGIX Downloads\Installationsmanager and installed in C:\Users\{name}\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Loop Collections You can easily move these to a non-system drive and then add a favourite to the Acid Explorer to make finding them easier in future.

Just a heads-up and a revisit of one of Larry's posts. Only 2 days left on this deal which looks like an excellent synth.
  19. I also have HitFilm Pro from a previous deal which I use occasionally for quick renders. A mate also swears by CyberLink PowerDirector but they seem to be encouraging their subscription model so I am resisting that at the moment. I also picked up MPC Beats but haven't got around to installing it yet due to holidays and spending a lot of time migrating stuff to my new PC build. I have bookmarked your posts on it though as a reference ? I am trying to keep the new PC uncluttered and only install things I intend to use (yeah, let's see how that goes ). I already had Reason Intro and that will make it to the new PC. That new EVO interface looks very nice and clean and could be good as a portable unit. I know Larry (where for art thou?) used to swear by the older Audient interfaces.
  20. I tend to do the same Aidan and I am curious to see what Video Pro X has to offer.
  21. I'm sure they would be fine for your usage Aidan. A few years ago I used to use Sony Movie Studio HD Platinum before it became Magix and it was a great and easy to use package. I tend to use Audacity or Acoustica Basic Edition as they are free and work well and I don't often need to do WAV editing these days.

As regards ST4 I am in the same boat as you abacab (ST4 MAX plus Spaceport). I don't have the other new ones and would also be interested to hear from anyone that does. I am leaning towards Alternate Keys, Synthwave and Trap at the moment. As far as I can tell the only new sound sets (not included in ST3 MAX) are as follows (I have added links to make them easy to get to): Alternate Keys -https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/stalternatekeys/?pkey=stsounds-alternatekeys Clavitube - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/stclavitube/?pkey=stsounds-clavitube SynthWave - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/stsynthwave/?pkey=stsounds-synthwave Reggaeton - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/streggaeton/?pkey=stsounds-reggaeton Trap - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/sttrap/?pkey=stsounds-trap LA Confidential (Drums) - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/stlaconfidential/?pkey=stsounds-laconfidential London Grooves (Drums) - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/st3londongrooves/?pkey=st3sounds-londongrooves
  23. Thanks for the heads up. I am on the same tier as you and have been impressed by Zenology content so far for the low monthly cost (I paid for 1 yr in advance so even less than $3).
