  1. Looking at Video Pro X I notice that the Humble Bundle details say.. The MAGIX webpage for Video Pro X says that it includes... so despite not being mentioned by name in the Humble Bundle note it is ambiguous so I'm wondering whether that is also excluded in the Humble Bundle version. Any ideas @aidan o driscoll?
  2. You have to do the same with Acid Pro 9 which I already own. One annoyance with ACID Pro 9 is that under Options / Preferences / Folders the "Loop Collection Folder" option is present but non-functional (you cannot enter anything in it). So you cannot enter a custom folder to store the loops - @aidan o driscoll I'm wondering if this has been fixed in ACID Music Studio 11? With Acid Pro 9 if you download the loops they get stored for installation in C:\Users\{name}\Documents\MAGIX Downloads\Installationsmanager and installed in C:\Users\{name}\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Loop Collections You can easily move these to a non-system drive and then add a favourite to the Acid Explorer to make finding them easier in future.

    Rapid Synth

Just a heads-up and a revisit of one of Larry's posts. Only 2 days left on this deal which looks like an excellent synth.
  4. I also have HitFilm Pro from a previous deal which I use occasionally for quick renders. A mate also swears by CyberLink PowerDirector but they seem to be encouraging their subscription model so I am resisting that at the moment. I also picked up MPC Beats but haven't got around to installing it yet due to holidays and spending a lot of time migrating stuff to my new PC build. I have bookmarked your posts on it though as a reference ? I am trying to keep the new PC uncluttered and only install things I intend to use (yeah, let's see how that goes ). I already had Reason Intro and that will make it to the new PC. That new EVO interface looks very nice and clean and could be good as a portable unit. I know Larry (where for art thou?) used to swear by the older Audient interfaces.
  5. I tend to do the same Aidan and I am curious to see what Video Pro X has to offer.
  6. I'm sure they would be fine for your usage Aidan. A few years ago I used to use Sony Movie Studio HD Platinum before it became Magix and it was a great and easy to use package. I tend to use Audacity or Acoustica Basic Edition as they are free and work well and I don't often need to do WAV editing these days.

As regards ST4 I am in the same boat as you abacab (ST4 MAX plus Spaceport). I don't have the other new ones and would also be interested to hear from anyone that does. I am leaning towards Alternate Keys, Synthwave and Trap at the moment. As far as I can tell the only new sound sets (not included in ST3 MAX) are as follows (I have added links to make them easy to get to): Alternate Keys -https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/stalternatekeys/?pkey=stsounds-alternatekeys Clavitube - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/stclavitube/?pkey=stsounds-clavitube SynthWave - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/stsynthwave/?pkey=stsounds-synthwave Reggaeton - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/streggaeton/?pkey=stsounds-reggaeton Trap - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/sttrap/?pkey=stsounds-trap LA Confidential (Drums) - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/stlaconfidential/?pkey=stsounds-laconfidential London Grooves (Drums) - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/st3londongrooves/?pkey=st3sounds-londongrooves
  8. Thanks for the heads up. I am on the same tier as you and have been impressed by Zenology content so far for the low monthly cost (I paid for 1 yr in advance so even less than $3).
  9. I only discovered this recently while migrating from my old PC to the new one. I had to manually export the projects on the old PC and then import on the new PC, then find and rebuild the media links. Also, I made things a little more tricky for myself by moving the GTX 1060 from the old PC to the new (leaving just Intel HD4000 on the old one). Afterwards I discovered that uninstalling the Nvidia card also removed OpenCL.dll which meant that Resolve would not start! Fortunately W10 keeps a copy in its file repository so I was able to restore it and then run Resolve to export the projects. The new Nvidia 3000 series are out in September with a launch event apparently planned for 1 September so I am trying to hang on for this.
  10. I remember discovering Video Pro X when I was researching the problems I had with Vegas Pro. I couldn't for the life of me work out why Magix had two such similar competing products and whether it would be beneficial to move to it from Vegas to fix my Vegas issues. Then Davinci Resolve came along and the rest is history.
  11. Humble Bundle - Your Sounds Your Movies (<-- click here) May be of interest to some. ACID Music Studio 11 is included in the 11 GBP tier. Video Pro X is included in the 19 GBP tier (currently 349 GBP on the Magix website). This tier also inlcudes VEGAS Movie Studio 16 Platinum and SOUND FORGE Audio Studio 13 (the cut down versions of Vegas Pro and Sound Forge Pro).

Same for me Fleer. I only need MODO Drums and possibly the Hammond. If they added Satriani and Sunset to the deal that would be enough for me to partake.
  15. Thanks Jesse but that's what I already have installed on the new PC (the old one is still on W 10 Home and I haven't updated my sig until I have fully migrated to the new PC). EDIT: I have added both PCs to my sig now.
  16. Definitely not just you Grem I think I have spent too much time collecting and not enough time recording! I am making a list to put on the KVR Sell and Buy forum. It's also a good time to find out which plugin licenses are helpful for us folk who want to install their plugins on two PCs while migrating from one to the other. Most seem to be pretty good (e.g. Melda, iZotope, IK Multimedia, Boz...the list goes on) but I realized today that Waves only allow dual install for plugins with a current WUP (about one third of my Waves plugins). I emailed a few developers and got helpful replies but I am still awaiting one from Synchroarts re my Vocalign Pro 4 license which only allows one iLok activation.
  17. Also seems ok here Jesse. I have also been opening a lot of projects to decide which plugins to install first on my new PC and not had any problems on either the old or new PC.

  20. @StariseYes it works great on Windows. John and Shane have also added lots of functionality to it in terms of MIDIbox, JitterBox and Unify itself that it does so much more than when it was at v 1.0. It's worth catching a few of the later Unify Livestreams to see what's been added and John's enthusiastic demos . As lawajava said - it's no brainer as is the add-on Cloudcity which just brings so much more fantastic content to the table (and has also been upgraded and finalised recently). Shane is very savvy as far as Windows is concerned and worked through with me one-to-one on the issue I mention below to identify the cause. With John (and Shane) you can tell that this is a labour of love. The only problem I had a few weeks back was due to having an existing copy of Dexed installed in addition to the one in Unify. Unify scanned both versions and some Unify patches I was selecting caused Unify to crash. The simple solution was to remove the external version of the plugin from Unify's plugin list. I guess this is something to watch for in future when external development is still progressing for some of the internal plugins used by Unify e.g. OB-Xd v2.
  21. It gets better and better with each update!
  22. Shame you cannot use any codes on Studio One Pro 5 Upgrade from Studio One Pro 4 (I tried).
