  1. My initial impression with Instachord was wha!?!?!?? Then after watching a couple of videos including the one posted by Hillmy I got to quite like what you can do with it. Of course YMMV. Then again I do kind of collect these type of plugins - anything to help stimulate ideas. At $10 it's not much of a gamble and you can always try the demo if you're not sure.
  2. Groove3 and Eli Krantzberg didn't waste any time https://www.groove3.com/tutorials/Studio-One-5-Explained
  3. Thanks. I had to create a BR account first and login after activating the account. Maybe try contacting their support Simon? There also seem to be some other freebies in my BR account; The Canary, Cypress TT-15 and VHL-3C.
  4. I have used one for years and find it pretty good. The main issue is as you get towards the nut it gets a bit tight on the fretboard. It's not amazing but it does remove debris from the strings. I also use GHS Fast Fret and if I had to choose between them I would rather keep Fast Fret.
  5. The sale is valid from July 3rd and will last only until July 7th at 21:00 (Italy time). Have a look at the countdown on our site and do not miss the chance to have our latest plugins for half the price! Just go to https://www.hornetplugins.com to get the special prices!
  6. Probably worth it for PadShop 2 alone. @huskerI have the PadShop Pro upgrade, do you know if PadShop 2 includes all of the Padshop Pro upgrades? Thanks
  7. This has been updated to 1.2.2 - not sure what the changes are. Any ideas @Richard Portelli ? Available from your account.
  8. It was the separate license thing that worried me. As long as it's the same process as when I went from 9 to 9.5 then it doesn't bother me.
  9. The previous version was actually pretty good but I wish they would separate the samples from the core program so that you didn't need to download 700Mb for every update.
  10. Wasn't aware of that, where did you find that out?
  11. Same for me. I still have a few DAWs to choose from although Cakewalk is my first choice. I watched an SWA course on Cubase a while back and then didn't use it for a few months after doing the course ?. Although I keep seeing features which make we want to try it again (e.g. automatically make harmony vocals from a single vocal track).
  12. Now available: 2.0.9 Improved lasso selection, patterns can now be multi-selected and chained with ease Improve visual feedback on keyboard when binding a multi-selection of pattern with empty chords Improve user chordset loading to support renaming & moving session files Add new option to play-quantised to chord duration or on next beat Chord Edit panel now suggests chords at the same octave than the currently edited chord Accessing the Pad View does not stop playback anymore Add ability to Play/Loop progression from Pad View Add ability to navigate back to Edit View from the Pad View Improve live expressions behaviour, avoid re-trigger when releasing a note while other keys are being held Fix an issue causing the import/export state to break when overriding an existing session file Fix a display issue when reloading the Chord Edit view from a saved state Fix an issue causing octave jumps when using scale voicings Fix modulation suggestions to prevent octave jumps between distant scales Fix an issue when reordering chords causing them to shift to a wrong position Improve overall stability and performances
  13. Been waiting for this for a while. Time to update? https://new.steinberg.net/promotion/cubase-updates-upgrades/
  14. I wanted a Vocoder for a project a while back and got Vocalizer Pro cheaply but quickly gave up on it (I found Waves Morphoder much better or more recently Ovox). It can be quite flakey e.g. when I try to load a chord pad it bombs out. FWIW there's this user guide or there's this Groove3 video made by Eli Krantzberg https://www.groove3.com/tutorials/Vocalizer-Pro-Explained
  15. Yeah, that's a nice deal if you don't have Reason. I also have Intro and after a quick check the following are missing compared to Intro... Instruments Missing vs Intro Europa synth Thor synth Dr Octo Rex Rytmik drum machine NN-XT sampler NN19 Effects missing vs Intro Softube Amp Audiomatic Reto Transformer Softube Bass amp Also some missing Utilities and Players.
  16. Latest Livestream streamed last night (I now have Cloud City and it is awesome). This includes coverage of the Synapse Obession synth which John has made a free Unify library for (the synth is $99 though) and Stutter Edit 2. The crash I was getting is now fixed by the way and was caused by having 2 instances of Dexed - just delete one of them in Unify and it's sorted.
  17. Nicely done, thanks @Reid Rosefelt.
  18. Good idea to post this @Steve Harder I subscribed to the Baphometrix channel a while ago on the strength of the first video (the 2nd part is also worthwhile). I liked your second video on Modal Interchange which I hadn't seen before. On a similar theme I really like the Signal Music Studio channel and he discusses modal interchange in a few. Here is one...
  19. bx_greenscreamer and bx_bluechorus2 for nowt - not a bad deal. Cheers Larry.
  20. ZincT

    ChordPotion 2

Cheers Larry. Good news that it's a free update for version 1 owners. There are also some more free preset packages here https://feelyoursound.com/packages/
  21. Thanks Larry - I also received it. Now I'm awaiting @Fleer's take on whether this is worth having? Oops, I posted same time he did. Cheers @Fleer
  22. Thanks for this. The version I already had installed (from a few years ago) has the same version number. You have to hover the mouse over the Hybrid 3 logo bottom left for anyone who wants to know.
  23. Thanks. Should be good to go as I have full Reaktor 6 as part of Komplete 12.
  24. Thanks Freyja, looks interesting. Will have a play. Would you mind also sharing your Blocks "monstrosity" patch? I know it's off topic for this thread but you could pm it to me if you don't mind sharing.
