  1. Lol, you got me there Mesh! ?? ?? Now I could really do that cake some damage ? You must have been the one heckling me in the crowd! Mind you, Satch Boogie was always a hard song to pull off on banjo. I am hoping to sample those instruments and release a "One Man Band" Kontakt library later in the year.
  2. MODO bass has become my standard bass plugin. Small footprint, great UI and sounds great. Haven't noticed any cpu issues. Think I will pass on this Waves offering.

Thanks Larry. Great timing! Working on a project where this will come in handy.
  4. Thanks for the information Mark. I will definitely give it another try based on yours and other comments.
  5. I saw this thread and thought "Oh yup I remember that sale" but was sure I didn't buy it. Anyway, I did buy it! I think it was 10 USD. I have a folder in my "Audio Production" software archive with LiquidNotes installer and LiquidMusic? installer (don't know what the latter is). I even have some usage notes copied from the old forum (user Mangulator?) and some how-to links. I think I must have uninstalled it when I realised it operated outside of Sonar (or any DAW) rather than as a plugin. Seems like it's time to investigate it further. ? Does anyone know if the version they are selling now is newer than the last version I downloaded (1.5.3.4)?
  6. Very cool video Zo! Love that music btw. I went from thinking "another tape plugin, meh" to "it's a must have" by the end. IKM should employ you, or maybe they already do
  7. Nice one! Thanks Lawrence. My license has arrived ??

    I'm back!

Good to have you back Larry! Explains why I was able to post a deal before you ?
  9. Read more here... https://www.overloud.com/products/american-classics 15.96 USD in cart with code GROUP at JRR... https://www.jrrshop.com/overloud-american-classics-th-u-rig-library
  10. Thanks Larry. I've been waiting for a reason to pickup Proximity and this is it. With rewards two decent plugins for the price of a couple of lattes.
  11. Thanks Larry. That's the cheapest I have seen it. I have it on iPad and it's pretty nice.
  12. A bit late to the party ? Happy Birthday to you both!
  13. My Komplete 11 update to 12 went fine. I just added the serial to Native Access and all was good. After connecting the hard drive Native Access detects it and displays a message saying it will use the hard drive for installation of Komplete. I don't have all of Komplete installed and I noticed that if you go to the "Not Installed" tab not all items have a "hard drive" icon (next to the size field) indicating that some will be downloaded rather than installed from the hard drive. For example, the new Play Series modules have to be downloaded. I assume the hard drive contents will be based on whatever was available when it was created so YMMV. The first thing I installed was Kontakt 6 which automatically imported all of the libraries that I had set up in Kontakt 5. As far as I can tell K6 seems to co-exist with K5 just fine. I also tried the new Kontakt 6 only Play Series which are a nice addition. I will also install Session Strings 2 later (also not on hard drive). Now it's just a waiting game for Massive X.
  14. Nice thanks Larry and Presonus!
  15. You are absolutely right Larry although I sold MPB2 a while back and also didn't upgrade to MPS. As I mainly use O8A and N2A I thought I would just upgrade those but the difference now in upgrading to MPS 2.1 versus N3A is only around 100 GBP (JRR works out cheapest). Am I right in saying that, as I already have full versions of O8A and N2A, I could sell those on after upgrading to MPS 2.1 as this comes with new licenses for O8A and N3A anyway? There are quite a few other iZotope products in my account which I never use and could also be sold to effectively pay for the MPS 2.1 upgrade. I also noticed here that MPS 2.1 comes with Melodyne Essentials so there's a small amount to recoup from resale of that. Hey mibby, I find Tonal Balance Control so useful that it is now in my default template on the Master Bus. I also tried it out retrospectively on a few old recordings and was able to greatly improve some mixes where it identified deficiencies that my ears couldn't.
  16. My Komplete 12 update arrived from Gear4Music this morning. It comes in a small box (approx. 6 x 5 x 1.5 inches). Inside the box is the 160Gb USB3 hard drive, USB3 HDD cable, card with serial number and various others cards and stickers. Planning to install it this weekend.
  17. Good idea Mesh! If not I will have to suggest that my local store sets up a demo. ??
  18. That's also what I did (see link above for more information). PG Music told me the current equivalent to the old EverythingPak is called UltraPak+ (see link to the old forum above) but as stated the cheapest time to buy is during their end of year sale.
  19. Yes it was the enhancements I was referring to and I have made that clearer now in my post. Will be interested in your views Larry as you now have it. Worthwhile upgrade? Must have killer features? BTW do you ever sleep!? Must be quite early where you are?
  20. Good to hear Mesh. ?? It's high on my list of next Audio Interface options. I just had a quick scout around at UK prices and right now it seems cheapest to buy from IKM direct as I can use maximum jam points (104.99 EUR) to bring the price down to around 265 GBP (converted from EUR) which includes courier delivery. Looking on eBay I can get around 100 GBP for my existing interface so it's pretty tempting ?
  21. The enhancements to the Mix Assitant feature looks like a great new addition at least to provide a fast starting point for mixes.
  22. Thanks Larry. I thought it was odd that there was no Neutron 2 to 3 upgrade as I would expect a better price for that. GROUP seems to work for most of the items but not for NA to N3A https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-neutron-advanced-upgrade-advanced I will email Uncle E and let him know and also ask about the N2A to N3A option.
  23. It's an invaluable tool as Grem says. There was a long thread on the old forum which you might find useful... http://forum.cakewalk.com/Band-in-a-Box-2019-out-now-m3801686.aspx
  24. Thanks Harry. Link here https://www.izotope.com/en/products/mix/neutron.html Also now at JRR. https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope Extra discount at checkout using code GROUP apart from NA to N3A where GROUP is not working for some reason (have PM'd Uncle E on KVR). https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-neutron-advanced-upgrade-advanced
