Thanks husker and Matthew. I like the look of that Streamworks Audio course and it works out at around 26 GBP with the current discount so a definite contender. I will also probably get the Groove3 one on offer and wait for the others. I will also check out the Ask Video and SOS Tutorials although I don't have a sub for SOS magazine. I have subscribed to the Steinberg YouTube channel so maybe I should work my way through their content before spending too much money on paid for tutorials.

Can anyone recommend any Cubase Tutorial videos? I am OK with the basics from using Cubase Elements. I am trying to avoid any that just run through all of the features without actually showing how to use them in real world examples. Same here Fleer. It's a week today since Ryan last made contact regarding my problem accessing legacy ST3 libraries in ST4. He asked me to pm the ticket number which I did and haven't heard anything since then either from him or support ?

I am running ST4 standard and the only issue I have is I cannot run all of my ST3 MAX legacy instruments e.g. American Acoustic. I have an outstanding support ticket for this problem. I have been having lockups in CbB whenever I create a Melodyne region (shortcut Ctrl- M) on vocal tracks for the past couple of days. This happens even on small vocal clips. I was on the latest Melodyne version but rolled back to a previous one in case that was the issue but it made no difference. Anyway, I had put Waves Vocal Rider on all of these tracks and wondered whether that was the issue (haven't used it in a while). When I turn Vocal Rider off I still get the same issue but when I remove it altogether Melodyne works fine. Is anyone else getting this? I have MAutoVolume as an alternative although not quite the same but does anyone know of any other non Waves rider type plugins? Thanks

From payment to receipt of activation codes took approximately 3 minutes. Also, the PDF invoice arrived about 5 hours after that but does not include activation codes (it's just a proof of purchase).

I just checked the times when I bought it on Monday and I received the email from Steinberg online shop (steinberg@asknet.de) with the Activation code 4 minutes after the validation success email (for crossgrade eligibility). It will of course depend on how quickly you respond to the validity success email. I carried on with the purchase immediately on receipt of the validity success email. It then probably took another minute or so to get to the payment screen. So it was probably around 3 minutes from payment to receiving the activation code.

Thanks Ryan. I tried your bullet points adding back only the ST3 path but AA is still padlocked after a rescan. Strangely one of the other installed ST3 libraries (NRG) is accessible. I had a look at the ST4 folders and under the folder SampleTank 4\Instruments I have a SampleTank 4 folder BUT I also have folders numbered 01 to 21 which look like ST3 instrument folders! They are the same as in the SampleTank 3 folder. That must have happened somehow during the installation of ST4 as I have always kept my ST3 and ST4 folders separate. Anyway, I have deleted those and rescanned but still have the same issue. Some ST3 libraries that I have installed, namely NRG and Electronica are there but American Acoustic is not.

I just tried resetting the blacklist and this time I had no blacklisted plugins on startup. One thing I really appreciate about Studio One Pro is how fast it is at scanning plugins. Yes looks like plenty to check out in this update. I will hold off for now as I am still getting up to speed on my newly acquired Cubase Pro ?

I already had C:\Users\Public\Documents\IK Multimedia\SampleTank 4 (I think this was the default which I just left alone but not sure if I really need this now?) S:\IK Multimedia\SampleTank 3 S:\IK Multimedia\SampleTank 4 I have also just added S:\IK Multimedia\SampleTank 3\Instruments which is where American Acoustic is located. After a rescan it still shows a padlock on AA. Thanks Peter

Thanks Matthew, a bit of a ??‍♂️moment; I hadn't realized that I would have to register the USB e-licenser explicitly (other than letting it sync to my account). Anyway, I have now found and used the registration option in the e-licenser software and my account now reflects the same as my USB e-licenser ? I like simple fixes. Thanks again.

I think it is probably due to me entering activations in the e-licenser software (as per the installation instructions) rather than the website. Then again every time I run the e-licenser software it does its "Online Synchronization and Maintenance" which I would have thought would make my Steinberg web account reflect the e-licenser status. What I did before with previous products to get it fixed was raise a support ticket but it seems a bit strange in this day and age.

One thing I find annoying (and have noticed this before) is how my online account does not reflect my current ownership i.e. it does not show Cubase 10, PadShop Pro upgrade or the USB e-licenser key as being part of my owned products. I have run the latest version of the e-licenser software and let it synchronize but my online account still does not give an up-to-date picture of what I own even though the e-licenser on my PC is correct and all the software works fine.

Update to 4.5 went smoothly here. Scan went fine and still shows 4 blacklisted plugins as it did with v4.1.
