@Peter - IK Multimedia Just a thought with my strategist hat on, but if management's concern is about excessive re-downloads, how about they restrict re-downloads to x many times per period, such as a maximum of 2 re-downloads per 190 days or pay a fee? It might be a way to find some middle ground with management that thinks the current approach is a good idea. It would also give them a win with customers, as IK could announce the policy change as a result of listening to their customers and  being customer-centric.

    Good idea.
At the very least, it would be nice if the 180 day countdown did not start for libraries that have never been downloaded.

Unfortunately, I was unaware of this policy and have a library that has gone 180 days without being downloaded once. When I found out about this system, I screamed "D**n it! F**k you, as**ole"

Given that, if it's true, you might see why I came to the conclusion that CbB was closer to Professional than Platinum in features.

Platinum and Professional are not the same when compared based on the core program alone, excluding plug-ins and add-ons.
There's only one difference that I remember but at least Professional didn't have a "Plug-in load balancing" option, it was for Platinum only.
From that perspective, CbB is based on Platinum's core program.

P.S. It seems the dithering options for Pow-r 1, 2, and 3 were also only available in Platinum.

I purchased MPS 5.2 in July of this year (I have a receipt marked MPS 5.2) but it's showed as MPS 5.1 in the Product Portal and I can see only the higher offer price $229 on the iZotope site.
I asked iZotope Support and they insist that there is no MPS 5.2, only MPS 5.1 plus extra.
What the heck is going on...

Just purchase the upgrade to MPS 6 on JRRshop for $41.16 (with code GROUP)! You will get a MPS 6 serial that you can enter in the Product Portal of iZotope!

Music Production Suite 6 Upgrade from MPS 5 August

This specially priced Music Production Suite Upgrade is only for customers who purchased MPS 5 in August, 2023. Please do not order if you purchased MPS 5 at an earlier time.

I purchased MPS 5.2 in July, so does not appear to be eligible for this special price... ?

The MSI that HIBI mentioned does seem to slow the fans at lower temperatures.

FYI, the MSI link I provided says "The fans completely stop when temperatures are relatively low.".
    Anyway, it's your choice. ?

I'm not a fan of many MSI video cards... as the fans aren't semi-passive.

Yes, you can control the speed... but that's not the same as dead-silent (not running).

If the fans/cooling don't support shutting fully off, you won't be able to do that with Afterburner.

As far as I know, the MSI RTX 3060 VENTUS 2X 12G OC has a function called "ZERO FROZR" that automatically stops the fans completely at relatively low temperatures.

I'm saying you want to avoid AMD's latest video cards... especially if you're pushing the limits of ultra low latency audio performance.

Sorry, it's my bad. I missed the "vs." so I was mistaken.
    Thanks for your input!

If you're pushing the limits of ultra low latency audio, a machine will glitch sooner with an AMD RX6xxx/7xxx vs. Nvidia RTX-3xxx/4xxx.

I am planning to add an RTX 3060 12GB to my next new DAW PC, does that mean I should avoid it?
Or it doesn't matter if I don't care about ultra-low latency?

  8. I'm not sure what's really going on because there's no response to key point comments, but it seems to me that you are just misunderstanding the procedure for deselecting and selecting input & output devices in the Devices settings.
My apologies if my thought is wrong... But I suspect it is so because you wrote "When I deselect Realtek, as soon as I hit the Apply button they are selected again".

Be sure to check out Jonathan Sasor's comment below, which is also promising.

It's conceivable that your audio configuration file is corrupt and not accepting a change, you can try manually deleting it by going to %appdata%\cakewalk\cakewalk core and deleting AUD.ini, then launch the application and try setting the driver. The Devices tab in the Preferences is showing you which devices are available to Windows, so as long as you've deselected everything under inputs and outputs, you should be able to select a different driver.

Yes, the Presonus drivers are greyed out and CW won't let me select them.

Is this grayed out state after deselecting realtek drivers (and not yet hit the Apply) ?

Why did you immediately hit the Apply button after deselecting Realtek drivers?
After deselecting Realtek drivers, without hitting the Apply, and can't select the Presonus?

I'm dragging and dropping it into clips pane.

Did you drag and drop it to the clips pane of the inserted synth track (SI-Bass Guitar 1) ?
If so, it's a wrong procedure. For MIDI FX to work, they must be inserted on MIDI tracks, not synth tracks.

If you try dragging a MIDI FX onto a synth rack track, it gets blocked ("no entry" cursor).

Yes, you cannot drag and drop MIDI FX onto the track pane (track header) that contains FX bin (you will see "no entry" cursor), however, you can drag and drop it into the clips pane.
In this case, you can see the error message the OP uploaded when clicking that inserted MIDI FX.

I could be wrong but I don't see any mention of ASIO and searching the internet only leads you to download and install the PreSonus Unaversal Control which it is not documented anywhere as having an ASIO driver.

I referred to the AudioBoxUSB96 manual and found a mention of ASIO driver.

    Quote

The Universal Control installer for Windows is available for download from your My PreSonus user account. This installation includes the ASIO and WDM drivers for the AudioBox USB96.

It also described how to set it up in Cakewalk SONAR.

    Quote

    1. Launch Sonar.
    2. Go to Options | Audio... and click on the Advanced tab.
    3. Change the Driver Mode to “ASIO.” (Note: Using WDM, rather than ASIO, for pro audio applications is not recommended.)
    4. Click the “OK” button.
    5. Restart Sonar.
    6. Go to Options | Audio... and click on the Drivers tab.
    7. Highlight all input and output drivers beginning with “PreSonus AudioBox USB96.”
    8. Go to Options | Audio... and click on the General tab.
    9. Set the Playback Timing Master to “PreSonus AudioBox USB96... DAW Out 1.”
    10. Set the Recording Timing Master to “PreSonus AudioBox USB96... Mic/Inst 1.”
