I think a couple of you guys are a little hard on the Melda UI. I didn't care for it either, but a lot of work has been done on it. As Erik mentioned, some users have been creating their own skins. This is the one I'm using currently and personally I rather like it instead of "just putting up with it" like I used to.

I probably use MAutoDynamicEQ, MAutoVolume, and MAutoAlign on every mix. MSpectralDynamics gets a lot of use too. My new favorite however is MDrumEnhancer. It's like MAutoAlign - it's very quick to check it, and you know very quickly if it will work or not.

I almost picked up OptoRed when it was recently on sale, you know, another compressor and don't I have enough, and all of that. I like the look of these. Loc-Ness seems like it would be very similar to DevilLoc. It sure does look interesting though... ?

You should get an extra discount for those bundles if you own some of the plugins already.
-
And if you have some singles, be sure and check in your account for the bundle upgrade price! 60% off your upgrade price too!

I literally just used this while mixing last night. It's very useful and a steal of a deal and he is actively working on it. It could be a little more efficient. It seems to be slow opening, but I just use it to double check L/R balances and for checking if a plugin in my chain is really doing anything useful other than just turning up the volume. Good plugin!

I did too. And you've cleared your browser cache and all that crap too, I suppose. Maybe just shoot support an email? I'm sure they'll fix you up. I mean, you want to give them money after all! ?
-
I see the $29 prices as before. Maybe try logging out, then log back in. Or try another browser. But they should be there when you log in to your account.

I see that too. I think it's the Facebook Container in Firefox. If you right-click the number, you can view the image...

That is an awesome demo! ? ? @ 2:24!! -
Yep. A couple of years ago you could sign up for the Collective without one, but they fixed that awhile ago...
-
And a good reminder to focus on THE IMPORTANT things... I'm very sorry for your loss Esteban.

Same. (I can't believe I'm about to ask for MORE emails!) But in this case, Eventide could be better about informing their customers about updates, upgrades and deals.
-
Yes,it is screwy and confusing. Customer service has actually been very helpful for me in the past too...
-
? My cost to WUP everything WITH the discount: $418.75 ??? What do I get for that?? Oh yeah, new UIs for the Renn stuff.
-
I like watching the demo videos just to hear the guy play. He's awesome. I used to watch the Kush videos just for the demo music too. Good demos work! ?

I was just looking through my account and the current prices for the plugins. Nectar3 Plus is my only "new" plugin. I've been waiting for the Tonal Balance no-brainer deal to upgrade Neutron and pick up the others. Now I'm wondering if this marks the end of any real sales? They are going to want to incentivize their customer base to subscribe. That would be sad because I really like my Izotope plugins... ?

I suppose it's a matter of perspective. As a hobbyist NOT generating income or making a living at it, I want to buy my plugins and move on. That's why "free for life updates" like Melda and some others do has a lot of appeal. In fact, I guess the "rent-to-own" model only works with those companies who are not trying to continually generate income from you once you've made your initial purchase... ?
-
What is that site you can drop a file onto and see all of the virus engine results? I have it bookmarked but can't find it ATM...
-
Exactly this. When you add it up, it's almost cheaper to buy, then upgrade every couple of years...
-
Rent-to-own needs to be the new standard for subscriptions...
-
Wouldn't that depend entirely on how the dev programmed it? i.e. I believe the analog "sweet spot" for Waves plugins in -16 or -18dB.
-
Anyone use their stuff? I have their free EQ and like it fine...

I dislike the software subscription model, but I do see the necessity for a software company to try and earn recurring income after a product is developed and sold. I thought the whole "rent-to-own" was a pretty ingenious way for a company to get more of the consumers' dollars AND for the consumer to wind up owning the software. However, PA's "subscribe-then-buy" model is even a step up from that, because it lets the consumer commit less $$ over a year, then pick the software he/she wants to own just as Oliver is doing. This is a very clever (and fair) way to take our money IMHO. Win-win. The only amp I see NOT for $29.99 is the AmpegnSVT-VR Classic - which I think they gave away last month? But the FULL version of that amp, the Ampeg SVT-VR is $29.99... So yeah, it looks like all of them are $29.99...
