  1. Was going to say the same thing as @antler - LogMeIn screwed my company over the same way. It was working well as they had it, because we had to buy licenses for some of our bigger clients, so they were getting $$ out of us. But when they pulled that, and said we had to buy in to their subscription service, we moved on... Hmmm. Maybe that's why I hate the subscription model so much? ?
  2. I meant with MCompare. GainMatch - as you pointed out - is slick and easy to use.
  3. I use MCompare for blind testing mixes. It's great for that. I never have used it for Before/After FX Chain testing. When I read up on it before it seemed like you had to render the track to do it. (??) Would love for someone to tell me I'm wrong about that! ? GainMatch is intuitive and easy to use.
  4. That is curious and too bad. I'd understand if there weren't overlapping plugins... I wonder if it's just so convoluted with all the new plugins being added that they just don't want to deal with it? ?
  5. The Melda Referral/Credit program is marketing genius. Good good for the buyer, good for the Melda customer AND good for Melda. Win-win-win! ?
  6. Yes, that's a very nice trial period. I'm curious why they picked 41 days as the length though... ?
  7. Creative idea! What does an 'account takeover" mean? Do you sign over the email address you use and password to the buyer?
  8. Godspeed Lars! Family first. ?
  9. Haha! Quite an understatement, no doubt! There are some pretty amazing things that can be done, especially with MAE, that would make for nice "Devices" as you've shown here.
  10. Did you simply go through the plugins and duplicate the parameters in the Easy UI? I haven't put together any easy screens yet. That would be a good exercise. A couple of those KVR guys are making some C-R-A-Z-Y clone plugins with MXXX! I feel like such a rookie! ?
  11. Cool! I'll check it out. In an attempt to learn to work with multi-parameters a couple of years ago, I did the "Notching EQ" in the free EQ. You basically move the node around to find a bad resonance, then use the multi-parameter to pull down the gain. It narrows the Q with the gain so it becomes a notched frequency. (So it wouldn't work with the free bundle until it is upgraded which allows the multi-parameters. The Melda Presets could use some love. I hate the nonsense names that come with the plugins. Totally useless.
  12. +1 ! And there are more options becoming available all the time.
  13. I have yet to fully commit to a single guitar/bass eco-system because I keep finding amps or effects in each that I like. So the "stand-alone" apps don't work for me because I need to buy that dev's plugins to make it useful. I've been looking at different "plugin chainers" and have been wondering about this one. Maybe this is the plugin to use to set up different rigs and FX? It sure would be nice to set up an FX chain I like, then just pull it up when I want to record and reamp something. I really like the idea of it only taking up one Insert slot too... I need to try this out. ?
  14. I think a couple of you guys are a little hard on the Melda UI. I didn't care for it either, but a lot of work has been done on it. As Erik mentioned, some users have been creating their own skins. This is the one I'm using currently and personally I rather like it instead of "just putting up with it" like I used to.
  15. I probably use MAutoDynamicEQ, MAutoVolume, and MAutoAlign on every mix. MSpectralDynamics gets a lot of use too. My new favorite however is MDrumEnhancer. It's like MAutoAlign - it's very quick to check it, and you know very quickly if it will work or not.
  16. I almost picked up OptoRed when it was recently on sale, you know, another compressor and don't I have enough, and all of that. I like the look of these. Loc-Ness seems like it would be very similar to DevilLoc. It sure does look interesting though... ?
  17. You should get an extra discount for those bundles if you own some of the plugins already.
  18. And if you have some singles, be sure and check in your account for the bundle upgrade price! 60% off your upgrade price too!
  19. I literally just used this while mixing last night. It's very useful and a steal of a deal and he is actively working on it. It could be a little more efficient. It seems to be slow opening, but I just use it to double check L/R balances and for checking if a plugin in my chain is really doing anything useful other than just turning up the volume. Good plugin!
  20. I did too. And you've cleared your browser cache and all that crap too, I suppose. Maybe just shoot support an email? I'm sure they'll fix you up. I mean, you want to give them money after all! ?
  21. I see the $29 prices as before. Maybe try logging out, then log back in. Or try another browser. But they should be there when you log in to your account.
  22. I see that too. I think it's the Facebook Container in Firefox. If you right-click the number, you can view the image...
