  1. Yep. A couple of years ago you could sign up for the Collective without one, but they fixed that awhile ago...
  2. And a good reminder to focus on THE IMPORTANT things... I'm very sorry for your loss Esteban.
  3. Same. (I can't believe I'm about to ask for MORE emails!) But in this case, Eventide could be better about informing their customers about updates, upgrades and deals.
  4. Yes,it is screwy and confusing. Customer service has actually been very helpful for me in the past too...
  5. ? My cost to WUP everything WITH the discount: $418.75 ??? What do I get for that?? Oh yeah, new UIs for the Renn stuff.
  6. I like watching the demo videos just to hear the guy play. He's awesome. I used to watch the Kush videos just for the demo music too. Good demos work! ?
  7. I was just looking through my account and the current prices for the plugins. Nectar3 Plus is my only "new" plugin. I've been waiting for the Tonal Balance no-brainer deal to upgrade Neutron and pick up the others. Now I'm wondering if this marks the end of any real sales? They are going to want to incentivize their customer base to subscribe. That would be sad because I really like my Izotope plugins... ?
  8. I suppose it's a matter of perspective. As a hobbyist NOT generating income or making a living at it, I want to buy my plugins and move on. That's why "free for life updates" like Melda and some others do has a lot of appeal. In fact, I guess the "rent-to-own" model only works with those companies who are not trying to continually generate income from you once you've made your initial purchase... ?
  9. What is that site you can drop a file onto and see all of the virus engine results? I have it bookmarked but can't find it ATM...
  10. Exactly this. When you add it up, it's almost cheaper to buy, then upgrade every couple of years...
  11. Rent-to-own needs to be the new standard for subscriptions...
  12. Wouldn't that depend entirely on how the dev programmed it? i.e. I believe the analog "sweet spot" for Waves plugins in -16 or -18dB.
  13. Anyone use their stuff? I have their free EQ and like it fine...
  14. I dislike the software subscription model, but I do see the necessity for a software company to try and earn recurring income after a product is developed and sold. I thought the whole "rent-to-own" was a pretty ingenious way for a company to get more of the consumers' dollars AND for the consumer to wind up owning the software. However, PA's "subscribe-then-buy" model is even a step up from that, because it lets the consumer commit less $$ over a year, then pick the software he/she wants to own just as Oliver is doing. This is a very clever (and fair) way to take our money IMHO. Win-win. The only amp I see NOT for $29.99 is the AmpegnSVT-VR Classic - which I think they gave away last month? But the FULL version of that amp, the Ampeg SVT-VR is $29.99... So yeah, it looks like all of them are $29.99...
  15. Would be great to somehow get it to his family. It was a good idea to reach out to local schools or hospitals - even hospices in the area if you know his full name... ?
  16. That's just weird. For whatever reason, I literally just watched this video while procrastinating doing some work...
  17. Haha! I bought the Galeon Krueger amp. ?
  18. So my email for the GK came on the 16th. I don't know if you have to use the links from there, but make sure you're logged in. You account will know about the GK purchase and adjust to $29... --- edit --- It looks like you just need to be logged in. All of the amps are $29 when I'm browsing the website...
  19. I think it's after you purchase the GK. I'll see if I got an email or anything...
  20. I've been watching for years and they're never on any sort of decent sale. I got the EQ550 as a freebie a few years ago when it came out and quite like it. I found the EQ84 on a one off sale at Time & Space, I think. But nothing else that I've found that gets their price point below my pain threshold. But I'm cheap. Same with Breverb 2. I have the CW freebie and like it a lot, but I've given up looking for a decent sale on that one too. Now there's way too many other good reverbs for cheaper...

    [GONE BABY GONE]

Originally Bapu was offering his iLOK 2 for whoever wanted them. A part of the title when I PMed him said "Gone Baby Gone". Now it looks like he has changed the title to just that with nothing about the iLOKs. No wonder you're confused!

    [GONE BABY GONE]

PM sent... ? --- edit --- So I guess "gone baby gone" means you already gave them away? ?
  23. In case anyone is hoping for a last ditch chance at these, as of this post, 10:30am EST, it was still up at https://store.solidstatelogic.com because I just bought them...
  24. That's a pretty good price, but it was a TOTAL no-brainer $79 bucks around Xmas which is when I picked it up. ?
  25. Interesting and informative article. Hey, I see he's got a FREE Delay plugin, so it looks like a "deal" to me! ? https://adammonroemusic.com/free-delay-vst/delay-vst-free.html
