  1. Not true Cakewalk primarily produced products for Windows but they did make and sell a few Mac products. Here is a kb article about some of them http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013380/Cakewalk-Mac-OS-X-Yosemite-Compatibility The L-Phase plug-ins were available for Macs too.
  2. What OS? What version of CbB is currently running?

  4. The Drum Replacer is a Region FX plug-in only. By default, it is on the plug-in exclude list so users do not see it in plug-in layouts. Loading Drum Replacer as a regular plug-in will crash the DAW.
  5. https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021666254-I-used-Cakewalk-a-long-time-ago-but-now-Cakewalk-com-says-account-creation-is-disabled-
  6. Here is a link to the clean install instructions and some notes about it Instead of BandLab Assistant, try the new Cakewalk Web Installer
  7. missed it Could rename the "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk CoreCakewalk\ttsseq.ini" and see if that brings the DAW back to life. The file is rebuilt automatically if CbB does not find one on startup.
  8. Enable input echo (the button right of record) on the instrument/MIDI track
  9. DX format plug-ins are registered using regsvr32. MFX are a type of DX format. The DX plug-ins bundled with CbB are registered by the installer calling regsvr32. VST2/3 plug-ins are scanned by the plug-in scanner.
  10. Looks like you are using "Sort by Manufacturer" layout and the developer did not assign a manufacturer in the plug-in. Because the manufacturer string is empty the plug-in sits at the same level as the Cakewalk FX folder. This is normal.
  11. paths and filenames with spaces must be wrapped in quotes on the command line regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared MIDI Plugins\CSHumanize.dll"
  12. The beta I have works OK for me but I have only the basic VCV, Audible Instrument and a version of the Southpole modules installed. A lot of modules have been ported and there have been a couple pre-built betas of VCV released. I still have msys installed and could compile it myself but have not bothered.
  13. Copy the dll to the path shown in the plug-in manager if it is not already there Open a command window as administrator and type regsvr32 /u path_and filename_shown_in_the_plug-in_manager regsvr32 correct_path_and_filename
  14. from http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Lenses.1.html
  15. Download either the Win 64 VST, Win 64 VST3 or both (although you really don't need both formats). The download links are on the right side of the page linked above. Run the file(s) (they are exe installers). The installers will ask where to put plug-ins. The VST2 plug-ins can go anywhere but Cakewalk defaults to looking in "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VSTplugins". I like to create manufacturer folders under "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VSTplugins" so I created "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VSTplugins\Blue Cat" and told the installer to use that folder. VST3 plug-ins should always go into "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3". If the installer permits it (and Blue Cat does) I add a folder for the manufacturer. So the VST3 Blue Cat plug-ins are in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Blue Cat" By default, Cakewalk will automatically pick up the plug-ins if they are installed in the scan path.
  16. Yeah, select all does not work. I though I had already deleted that from the message. It's gone now One way that does not involve selecting events is converting the controller to an envelope and deleting the envelope from the track view.
  17. Yes, by bouncing the clip or use one of the Free Blue Cat Gain modules with +-60 dB. Drop it into the clip or track FX rack and dial up what you need or create an envelope for it.
  18. Yeah after looking at the listings in everyplugin and jrrshop it looks like the CA/MRB collabs are only sold through the CA store. Now I don't have to wait. Probably won't get much use after VCV get's released but that's a few weeks off (hopefully)
  19. Yes. When skipping versions, the full installer is downloaded instead of the much smaller update installer.
  20. No need to do any cleanup just re-run the web installer and run the new SI installer.
  21. Probably not This is a joint venture between Cherry Audio and Mark Barton. The other CA/MRB joint ventures are not listed in either everyplugin or jrrshop
  22. Here is a video demonstration selecting CC1 then deleting with the delete key hiding and revealing empty CC1 drawing CC1, selecting and deleting again with the delete key hiding and revealing the empty CC1
