Offset for MIDI tracks not responding to shortcut command
scook replied to Keni's topic in Feedback Loop
The label for Velocity is Vel+. Velocity cannot be automated so toggling offset mode does not affect it. FYI, by default the letter O is not bound to anything. -

problem with Softube Saturation Knob [SOLVED]
scook replied to Jorge Arias's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
This is an older VST2 version of the plug-in. All the Softube PC modules are regular VST2 plug-ins that pull double duty as PC modules. Unfortunately Softube broke PC module compatibility over a year ago and they have no intention of fixing it. As noted above the VST3 works. Thanks for nothing Softube. Worst support ever. Update: I have heard Softube has fixed the problem but there is no release date. Until then, the only solution is run an older release. -
Virtually new install - TTS-1 missing already!

GroovePlayer is the metronome and does not appear in the plug-in lists. WRT, TTS-1 not showing up in the plug-in lists, did you clear out the old tmp files from the plug-in layout folder? -
try the Cakewalk Web Installer

Since the plug-in still works in existing projects, it feels like a registry problem. Try unregistering the plug-in then re-register it. To unregister the plug-in at the command line as administrator type regsvr32 /u C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\TTS-1\TTS-1.dll -

To switch plug-in layouts click the triangle on the right side of the plug-ins tab It may be a corrupted layout. The "Sort by" layouts are cached as tmp files in the plug-in layouts folder. The default location for the plug-in layouts folder is "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Plug-in Menu Layouts" The path is stored in Preferences > File > Folder Locations. Shut down CbB Delete the tmp files from the plug-in layouts folder. This will force CbB to rebuild the layouts on startup. -

Did you create that layout yourself? Try switching layouts by clicking the triangle on the right side of the plug-in tab. -
The slider is disabled when running WASAPI Shared or an ASIO driver that does not support buffer size request by the DAW. If running WASAPI Shared change driver mode to WASAPI Exclusive. If running ASIO change the buffer size in the ASIO client software.

Which plug-in layout are you using? -
Lower the audio buffer size in Preferences > Audio > Driver Settings or the audio interface software.

If TTS-1.dll is still in "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\TTS-1" you could try re-registering the plug-in by opening up a command window as administrator and typing regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\TTS-1\TTS-1.dll If the file is not there or fails to register, a simple uninstall/reinstall using BA (or uninstall from Windows and use the Cakewalk Web Installer) should bring it back. -
This happens when the installer detects a previous install. The installer reads the value from the registry.

Bandlab is aware of the issue. Thinking it may be a problem with BandLab Assistant, I sent an email to @Jonathan Sasor and he replied in one of the threads. AFAIK, nothing has changed WRT the installers and the initial thought was the MS redistributable libraries were messed up but this does not appear to be the case. I am sure there will be a solution to the problem but it may take a few days.

The problem is the images are on an unsecured server. In Edge Under Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Insecure Content Add https://www.cakewalk.com to Allowed
-
The Cakewalk Web Installer has not been officially released, however; the EA version is available.
-
I doubt that will help. Others have tried reinstall and updating MS libs. In the last couple of days there have been two other threads about this It is unusual.

1. remove the link from the post

workspaces I usually use the help index to find things. Some prefer searching the pdf version. They both contain the same information.
-
There have been several reports over the last two days. Jon knows about it and I am sure the staff is reviewing the issue.
-
Probably need to wait for @Jonathan Sasor (or someone else from the staff) to return to the thread

Can no longer add plugins or adjust buffer size in newest version
scook replied to THE JimmiChanga's topic in Feedback Loop
There is no direct download of CbB. Never has been. The Cakewalk by BandLab website provides a link to BandLab Assistant. BandLab Assistant runs BandLab (the DAW) from the top icon in the Apps tab and installs Cakewalk by BandLab using the install button below the second image in the Apps tab (this is documented here). Had you selected the install button below the second image we would not be having this discussion. That said, BandLab Assistant for installing and updating CbB is being phased out in favor of the Cakewalk Web Installer and in-app updating from the CbB help menu. -

As I mentioned above, the image in your post is a different DAW. BandLab (the company) offers two free DAWs BandLab - this is the one in your image above Cakewalk by BandLab - this is the Windows-based DAW developed from the SONAR sources.
