  1. It is not necessary to restore the track, the keyboard shortcuts still work when tracks are minimized SHIFT+T expand/collapse track lanes SHIFT+A expand/collapse automation lanes
  2. Pretty sure this is reference to opening MIDI files See Always use Sysx Banks for MIDI Files (Instead of Sysx Data) in http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x22B0A There are several sysex related parameters in TTSSEQ.ini but nothing caught my eye.
  3. Aud.ini should not spontaneously change. The thread in my post above is dedicated to the 2020.05 EA release and is actively scanned by the devs.
  4. Could connect the keyboard to the DAW, start recording and see what, if any, data the volume slider sends or hook the keyboard up to MIDIOX Of course having the docs handy is a good idea.
  5. By thread scheduling do you mean the ThreadScheduleModel setting in Aud.ini? If so you may want to check out the 2020.05 EA release.
  6. Yeah, unlike the old Cakewalk forum, search works in this one. Still, discussing a bunch of unrelated feature requests in a single thread is not a good idea.
  7. Like this? The gif shows clicking the mouse wheel to bring up the HUD selecting clip gain making a selection with click-drag changing clip gain for the selection using click-drag
  8. By default all templates bundled with CbB use a preview bus to handle audio coming from clip preview in the browser. This is a good place to adjust preview volume. If you are not using one of the included project templates, it might be a good idea to take a look at the basic template and see how it is setup. There are three predefined buses Master - all audio and instrument tracks are automatically routed to it. It is useful to for monitoring the entire mix. Metronome - handy for adjusting the metronome volume Preview - handles browser audio preview The is an option on the Browser Media tab menu ("B" below) to designate an audio preview bus
  9. If a plug-in has an installer, it should show up in the Apps section of Windows 10 Settings Older Windows version had it in the Control Panel - Programs and Features section Regardless of how a VST plug-in is removed the CbB VST scanner needs to run so the VST Inventory in the registry gets updated.
  10. DOUBLE.CAL (or a modified version of the script) bound to a keyboard shortcut The description from the top of the script: Although stuff like this is better in a separate thread as it is bound to get lost in this omnibus thread. There is a dedicate forum for questions like this one and a dedicated forum for feature requests. Creating one big thread defeats the purpose of the the forum.
  11. Yeah, the activation process for DP needs to write to a protected area of the registry. This part of the code was never updated to deal with security changes made in Windows Vista. Running the standalone synth or the DAW as administrator allows the activation process to update the registry. Once activated, there is no need to run as administrator.
  12. Uninstall is better than simply removing the dll if the plug-in has an installer and the intent is to remove the plug-in from the PC. An uninstall will not remove files modified by the user and registry entries but usually deletes more than just the dll.
  13. As I wrote in the link above, support@cakewalk.com may be able to assist with password reset. There is no facility for users to change passwords or create new accounts at the old Cakewalk site.
  14. Rapture and Rapture Pro are two different products. The last version of Rapture is 1.22. The last version of Rapture Pro is 2.0.5.81. The ability to access installers for old Cakewalk product installers depends on whether the user created/migrated their account between 2014 and 2017 when the old company changed their customer database. If one has Rapture Pro they definitely have an account created between 2014 and 2017.
  15. Yes, the ability to switch buffers setting in this manner depends on the driver being used. In the case of ASIO drivers some now support buffer change request from the host still others do not.

    Chord addition

The are CAL scripts for some chords. They work by creating a chord from the selected root note.
  17. from https://forums.cherryaudio.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=942&start=70#p3581
  18. SHIFT+right mouse click toggles between the track's current and previous edit filter settings
  19. I am guessing the OP is using Sonitus Surround This stereo plug-in's name is a little misleading, it is an autopanner. It is one of my favorites in this category but may not translate well in mono mixes.
  20. If the view is missing from the menu it is likely the workspace setting Change the setting in the workspace menu to Advanced, create a custom workspace or set it to None
  21. Enabling Snap To Scale changes background highlighting in the PRV
  22. This is possible today when using an audio/MIDI track pair instead of an instrument track. In the console view and inspectors, clicking on either the input of the audio track or the output of the MIDI track (assuming it does not go to a drum map) brings up the synth UI. Because instrument tracks hide audio inputs and MIDI outputs, they lack this feature.
  23. If you created a Single Sign On account on the old Cakewalk site in late 2014 though 2017, support@cakewalk.com should be able to help you regain access to your account. User initiated password reset is not an option. Email is not available from the old Cakewalk servers. If you were a SONAR Platinum/Professional/Artist user, you definitely have an SSO account. If you were are forum member in 2014-2017 you have an SSO account. All of your old Cakewalk products are still available in that account. Once you restore you old Cakewalk account access, Cakewalk Commend Center is the best way to download and activate DP and Rapture along with the other products from the SONAR Platinum/Professional/Artist era. Use the installers in your account for older Cakewalk DAWs and products that did not get command center installers. All the plug-ins installed with the old 64bit Cakewalk DAWs including Dimension Pro and Rapture work in CbB.
  24. Generally when using an external audio interface like the NI Komplete, the driver mode in the DAW is set to ASIO and all audio in and out of the DAW is handled by the manufacturer (in this case NI) supplied ASIO driver. Not sure how the OriGen G2 DAC figures in this. When running in ASIO driver mode the DAW is restricted to one I/O driver at a time.
