I posted a link earlier in this thread on how to change the keyboard display in the PRV. I'll do it again once master.ins is modified, right-click on the keyboard to select an alternate display. The downside of this process is the setting is not persistent. Close the PRV or the session and the next time the PRV is opened it will revert to the keyboad display. There is a VST2.1 ocode to supply note names. CbB supports it. It is up to the plug-in manufacturer to implement it. The only drum plug-ins that I know of that have the feature are Session Drummer 3 and the BFD series. Use these drum synths and the PRV keyboard is automatically updated to drum names when editing the drum synth tracks. Based on a recent thread, Sitala may be adding support for this feature too.

Currently when a new release is announced a link to rollback to the previous version is part of the announcement. See the release announcement for 2020.05

It worked because of a combination of driver mode and its default buffer setting. Running too small a buffer can cause distortion and drop outs. The WASAPI modes are good choices when running Win10 and using the PC sound chip.

Far from being outdated, the manual is revised and updated with every release. When documented features are unavailable the first thing to check is the workspace setting. Change the workspace menu to Advanced, None or create your own workspace.

Look in Event List View and Sysx View

It would be nice to see more Cakewalk products back in circulation under the BandLab brand. I imagine those who sold libraries for Cakewalk synths would like to see it happen as well.
-
BandLab did not buy the Cakewalk company and its products. They purchased Cakewalk IP. BandLab cannot give away or sell old Cakewalk products and installers. Moreover, for Cakewalk users to access the old downloadable installers for their registered products they needed to participate in the Single Sign-On migration in late 2014 or have created a Single Sign-On account before Gibson shut down Cakewalk in 2017. Users who have SSO accounts may access downloads from the old site and their account. Password reset is perform by support@cakewalk.com. So far, BandLab only ported and released the bits available in the CbB package. Any other products would have to be updated before release.

Please Help. Not seeing a "Drum Map Manager" section offered in BandLab?
scook replied to FunkDaDevil's question in Q&A
Click the "Advanced" radio button at the bottom of the Preferences page. Or use the output drop down on MIDI inspectors and track headers. Or the output drop down on the inspector MIDI tab for instrument tracks. -
Aside from several Now time displays the Aim Assist Line shows the current mouse cursor position as a function of time in the Track and Piano Roll view timelines, "B" in the image below

Don't like working with "those little triangles"? Note duration optional in the Drum Grid Pane. The setting is in the PRV Notes menu.

Solved: Channel-Input is set back from "none" to "omni"
scook replied to Timo Finkbeiner's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Often this is the result of having Always Echo Current MIDI Track enabled causing the track that has focus to have input echo automatically enabled. When input echo is on, the track must have an input to echo. If the input is set to None it is changed to All Tracks > Onmi. -
I do not see anything in the export. Hopefully another set of eyes on the problem will help.

Thanks Will let you know

Can you export HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Cakewalk VST X64\Inventory and upload it here or put it on Google drive or other host?

It goes in a MIDI track's FX Rack. To access the MIDI FX Rack in an instrument track use the MIDI tab in the track's inspector

I also have a master Library.db with a 5 Dec 2016 modified date.

Fine by me. I prefer to find out the true cause of a problem if possible. AFAIK, all plug-ins of the same format are treated the same. The email link I provided above will get you a case number.

Many of the SONAR plug-ins are DX format. There are a few VSTs such as Channel Tools, the LP-64 EQ and Multiband, z3ta+, Studio Instruments. Why the Cakewalk VST2 plug-ins should show up and other manufacturers do not is odd. Running uninstall from BandLab Assistant and reinstalling CbB may be worth trying. Or a rollback and roll forward. Rollback installer is in this post
