  1. BA does not automatically install or reinstall any of the Add-ons. If an Add-on option is disabled it is because the registry contains a record in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Installers indicating the product has already been installed.
  2. Enable "Show Velocity on Selected Notes Only" in the PRV Notes menu then select the note(s) to change. Click the key on the PRV left to select an entire row .
  3. The choice of audio interface and plug-ins are the determiners of the delay heard when monitoring the signal being recorded through the DAW. The CPU may be part of the equation when running the audio interface at a high sample rate with a low buffer setting.
  4. This is expected in true stereo reverbs but the regular version of BREVERB2 bundled with CbB has independent dry and wet pan controls the PC version lacks. The pan controls in the plug-in UI are just below the Dry and Wet faders.
  5. A time-limited trial version of Melodyne is included with Cakewalk. Once the trial expires, the editor no longer works but a monophonic version of audio-to-MIDI and tempo detection still function. For the program to show up as a Region FX the VST3 format must be installed. You may be able to repair the installation instead of going through re-install. Try that first.
  6. Plug-ins should not be installed in ProgramData. AFAIK, no plug-ins install their by default. They might install support files in that area but the actual plug-ins never go there. Moving the folders may not be a good idea because both plug-ins use installers and may write install location data into the registry. Uninstall the plug-ins. Re-install them and pay close attention to where the VST portion of the plug-ins install. This may be modified to your existing scan path or at least a folder that is not hidden. Usually it will be somewhere in "C:\Program Files"
  7. Yes, the more info provided the better. Both of these work fine in CbB. Maybe some more details about where they were installed, the scan path in preferences and which instrument plug-in layout is used in CbB.
  8. If you cannot read the link, I will post the instructions here.
  9. May want to remove the email from your post Here is the Roland driver hack thread from the old forum http://forum.cakewalk.com/How-to-use-V700-win-8-driver-in-win-10-also-applies-to-some-other-Roland-drivers-m3206046.aspx
  10. I am not sure about this. IIRC, older versions of Audacity open wav files from the command line but newer versions apparently do not. At least, that is what I have been told. I have not messed with Audacity. That said, ANY program accepting a wav file as a command line argument may be integrated into the Tools section of the CbB Utility menu. AFAIK, this includes all dedicated audio editors. But it does not stop there. ANY file may be added to the Utility menu as well, as long as Windows knows what to do with it. For example, the User Reference pdf may be added and it will open based on its file association. The Tools Editor may be added, in fact the option is built into the program itself. I don't recommend posting the direct link to the tool because those links change with every release. The link to page where all the tools and other Cakewalk stuff are located does not change. This is the link I post https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eiVH_I1clbbRtWFh4-3Mo7HANjCxR8SwqHJtYXy19gw/pub . The utilities including the Tools Editor are about half way down the page. The Tools Editor help contains the link to the knowledge base article and posts in the old forum by @Noel Borthwick about the registry entries. They were the info I used to write the script.
  11. Ran the installer by hand instead of using Cakewalk Command Center? Here is the manual activation process
  12. Could be one or more plug-ins in demo mode.
  13. Based on user reports at least SONAR 8.5 though Platinum work on Win10. Based on personal experience Music Creator 7, SONAR X1 through Platinum work on Win10. My guess is several other older version of Music Creator, SONAR and other Cakewalk DAWs also work on Win10. It may help to know which versions of MC and SONAR you have. BandLab is a web-based DAW . There is another DAW made by BandLab called Cakewalk by BandLab. To open old Cakewalk projects use Cakewalk by BandLab. The instructions for using BandLab Assistant to install Cakewalk by BandLab are here.
  14. My guess is PA like other manufacturers of plug-ins for UAD hardware rely on UAD for preset management. Softube was like this for some time but have started adding preset managers to their native plug-ins.
  15. The link option in copy is persistent. Should be pretty clear where a clip is missing on a track although it might be just as easy to duplicate the track periodically to sync them up.
  16. Instead of using a virtual MIDI cable duplicate the MIDI track with "Link to Original Clip(s)" enabled. Right-click the duplicate tracks button for its options or use the menu option. edit: I see you figured out the link clips solution.
  17. Here is the easiest way to setup a MIDI file in Cakewalk. It will also demonstrate how to configure TTS-1 to play the file. Make sure no MIDI output device is select in preferences Use File > Open to open the MIDI file

    No Sound

I believe by default ASIO4All is configured to use one device. Check the ASIO4All setup.
  19. Use remote control to automate the parameter (right-click near the fader in the automation lane) and, if necessary, the Event Filter MFX in the MIDI FX Rack to block the CC64 data from going to the synth.
  20. Studio is multi track Editor is single track The feature matrix is about half way down this page https://www.celemony.com/en/melodyne/what-can-melodyne-do
  21. Once everything is bounced down Archive the drum audio and MIDI tracks. This will preserve the data (just in case) and release the resources used by them,
  22. Select track 2 (Old/Kick1) and the audio track (track 1) run "Bounce to Track(s)" from the Tracks menu in the Track View Select track 3 (Kick 3) and the audio track (track 1) run "Bounce to Track(s)" from the Tracks menu in the Track View Repeat with the rest of the MIDI tracks Each MIDI track will be rendered using the same audio track into new audio tracks.
  23. A related question is - why do all your other iLok plug-ins work in Cakewalk? The logic of "something works in one DAW but not another is somehow the DAW's fault" has been demonstrated false too many times to be reliable.
