WRT track controls, @Craig Anderton offered this solution (from http://forum.cakewalk.com/Pro-Channel-Panning-m3755460.aspx) I believe it was deleted from the Huge Book of CbB Tips because Channel Tools was not bundled with CbB at the time the book was compiled.

Plug-ins included with X2 are documented here Plug-ins included with CbB are documented here To take advantage of all the extra content bundled with SONAR, perform a full installation of 64bit X2, apply the X2a update then install CbB. Installing CbB last insures all the shared files are up to date. If CbB is already installed, it may be a good idea to uninstall it before running the X2 installer. Use BandLab Assistant to uninstall CbB then run the X2 install and update.

TAL Vocoder is a good one to start with. I would not rely on any posts older than SONAR Platinum for signal routing. Better yet, search this forum for current info before going to the old forum. The trick is learning about routing MIDI in Cakewalk. I posted a general guide here And here are a couple of more recent threads about TAL Vocoder that may help

Editing in the Event List works as documented AFAIK, there is no way to revert the behavior to PA9. To disable a shortcut bind it to the "Do Nothing" function

Are you still using the scanner that shipped with SONAR 8.5? If so, consider installing Cakewalk by BandLab. Even if staying with SONAR, the shared utilities installed with CbB have had years bug fixes and are backward compatible with SONAR. Installing CbB will overwrite the 64bit shared folders but leaves the SONAR program folder alone. Of course, updating everything except one or two pieces of software, in the long run is not a good idea.

Yeah, the VM2500 modules run in Voltage Modular. Voltage Modular is Cherry Audio's modular synth. It comes as a stand alone and VST2/3 instrument and effect. There are AU and AAX formats too. To demo any of the modules requires Voltage Modular. Recently they have been giving away Voltage Nucleus which includes Voltage Modular and a few modules.

The CA-2A VST dll pulls double duty as the PC module and a regular VST2 plug-in. Some of the 3rd party PC modules are delivered the same way. I have the CA-2A installed and had no problem with the PC-2A install. Both show up in the PC plug-in menu.
