  1. Still nothing from guitarcenter. My paypal account still has the order pending and my payment method has not been charged so I suspect that it is not going to go through.
  2. I checked out with Paypal as guest and haven't received my license yet. That was about half an hour ago. The Paypal charge went through about 18 minutes ago.
  3. The BFD player is a completely different beast. It was released October 2023 for free. It does not support BFD 3 expansions but has its own eco system (https://www.bfddrums.com/bfd-player-expansions/). So it will not show you how well BFD 3.5 would work on your system.
  4. Falcon is not a sampler in terms of being able to record audio into it. But calling it a rompler does not do it justice. You can import a WAV file and manipulate it in numerous ways including looping it, reversing it, trimming, setting start and end points, crossfade, anything you would expect in a sampler and more.
  5. Wait for an expansion sale. I bought Falcon last October and was able to get 4 expansions for $28 using my $50 voucher.
  6. It really depends on what you are looking for I guess. Falcon comes with 1500+ presets which can be ovewhelming at first if you don't use the browser features. The preset browser in version 3 is greatly improved over previous versions with audio previews and extensive tagging. This helps to filter out what you are not looking for. I think a big complaint people have about having to sift through a ton of presets to find what they want is due to them not using the browser features. The factory presets in Falcon cover a wide range and sound great, at least to my ears. One problem with using the preset browser with audio previews to determine the sounds Falcon can produce is that most presets have macros that can greatly modify the sound. If you don't open up a preset and start messing with the macros, you are missing a whole world of what Falcon can do.
  7. The same argument holds true for pretty much any supersynth out there: Falcon, Halion, Avenger, Nexus, Omnisphere, Pigments, Synthmaster. From my perspective, the idea is not to create a whole song in Falcon, but to create an instrument that is usable across songs and across DAWs. Different aspects of the instrument can be controlled by macros and MIDI CCs to modify the sound of the instrument within the same MIDI stream. You can create an instrument beyond your bread and butter sounds. I would agree that it would be silly to try to do a whole song using one instance of Falcon. However, It does not sound like Falcon would fit into your workflow very well. You will be fine giving it a pass.
  8. Are you referring to the factory presets or the expansions avaliable on the UVI site?
  9. That is not all Falcon. In fact, at 3:43 there are no instances of Falcon playing and CPU is still at 65% or more. It is really hard to tell from the video what is causing the CPU load. I am not denying Falcon can be heavy on the CPU. It often is. But I am not hearing any breakups or crackles in the video. Do you?
  10. I did buy Falcon and love it I know a lot of people struggle with the interface but somehow it clicked with me. So I do enjoy using it, thank you. BTW, I don't really think your music is mediocre; it is just not what I enjoy listening to.
  11. Oh crap. I just bought Pro for $60. For $17 more, I could have had Max.
  12. 2.6K Likes and 400 comments. Wow Falcon must be awesome. Actually, your analysis of kitkrazy1's post proves nothing about Falcon. You don't like Falcon. We get it. Lots of people do. Falcon is not for everyone and thats okay. I listened to your music and it did not appeal to me at all. But obviously over a million people do like it. And that's okay with me. I am not going to go around telling people how mediocre your music is and wonder how so many people could have such poor taste.
  13. I likewise have a 2i4 2nd gen and it is not there for me either.
  14. I was going to say basically the same thing. @GTsongwriter made this same statement last year, eliciting the same response. A more accurate statement might have been that GTsongwriter felt no need to buy it, because Reaper scripts can already do what GTsongwriter would want Scaler to do. To me, that would be like saying "I have not found the need to buy a compressor and a nail gun because I can already do the same thing with my hammer. A compressor is so heavy and hard to lug around and my hammer is so lightweight". If that is your workflow, then fine. But to say that Scaler can be replicated with a bunch of scripts and dodads implying that it has no real value is not helpful to anyone.
  15. SAVIHost3 (https://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm) does VST3. It also works by renaming the exe to the name of the VST3 you want to run standalone.

  17. There you go with your thumbs down again. Like the last time you tried to push your site.
  18. With lots of affiliate links? No thanks.
  19. But for how long? Kontakt full instruments will work in player for 15 minutes at a time.
  20. Group buy modules do count. We have made improvements to the coupon implementation so you might want to try again but also let me and/or the team know if it still doesn't work. I just did a recheck and found I have all but TASCAM Porta One and Teac A-6100 MKII. That still gives me 52 T-Rack plugins, but I am still only getting the TR6MAXUP50 coupon.
  21. I have all the T-Racks 5 modules but I got a good portion of them via group buys. My discount is at the 25+ module level. So I am guessing that modules obtained via group buys don't count.
  22. You need to have SM2 installed, but you can now use SM3 to restore your banks.
  23. It is not a defense. It is a statement of fact. Your other points are legitimate though.
