First off, what audio interface and driver are you using? Second, what effects are you using? Third, effects are better added during the mixing stage. Fourth, you shouldn't be worrying about "mastering volumes" until you are at the mastering stage of your project

Uh,. Kontakt Player doesn't work that way either. You can only use instruments made expressly for it. Except for what limited stuff is included with it, they pretty much all cost money.
