Windows 7 is not supported. Windows 7 is what, 12 years old? Windows 11 is coming out now!

Folderwise Instrument Playing and Recording
Byron Dickens replied to Indrajeet Raval's question in Q&A
I was trying to simplify. -
My questions are exactly on your point. I asked them to fill in essential, but missing details. If you are trying to use your onboard sound chip and ASIO4ALL, for example, you wouldn't have a hope in this world of achieving low latency. 90% of your issues would disappear with proper equipment. You didn't say, so I had to ask. If you're tracking through resource-heavy effects like linear phase EQs, Or Well, those add a lot of latency. You didn't say, so I had to ask. No. John already said it: You're certainly free to do whatever you want, but in my opinion you have a horribly inefficient workflow. Those are decisions best made no later than the tracking phase. Preferably in pre-production. When you add instruments at such a late stage, itcan throw off your balance and you end up having to redo all of your mixing & "mastering."

First off, what audio interface and driver are you using? Second, what effects are you using? Third, effects are better added during the mixing stage. Fourth, you shouldn't be worrying about "mastering volumes" until you are at the mastering stage of your project

Folderwise Instrument Playing and Recording
Byron Dickens replied to Indrajeet Raval's question in Q&A
Uh,. Kontakt Player doesn't work that way either. You can only use instruments made expressly for it. Except for what limited stuff is included with it, they pretty much all cost money. -
You should have gotten a license key along with your download link.

Midi Ox failure with Novation Impulse keyboard
Byron Dickens replied to Vincent Thys's topic in Instruments & Effects
You don't need any 11-year-old third-party app for this. Just use Novation's own driver. -
Is there a way for trim volume automation?
Byron Dickens replied to Michael Zagas's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Look at the very top of the mixer strips. However, that is not something you should ever have to automate. In fact, it is rare that you should ever have to touch at all. All of your volume automation should be done with the channel faders. -

And for (insert the non religion-specific diety-type figure -or otherwise, depending on your particular beliefs [or nonbeliefs, as the case may be] of your choosing here) sake don't go upstairs and try to help someone if the answer might not be what they want to hear! Especially if that might mean they would have to pry their wallet open and aquire some proper equipment. Or learn some skills instead of looking for magic plugins....

Cakwalk changes midi sound after recording
Byron Dickens replied to Tobias Landmann's topic in Instruments & Effects
I'll bet that like many orchestra libraries, the Sine Player uses the modwheel to control volume. You need to record modwheel events too -
Bar/Cursor not marking beats or subdivisions anymore
Byron Dickens replied to Bruno Carbonell's question in Q&A
No problem. We all have a case of Cranial Flatulence now and then. -
Moving plugin positions in the Synth Rack
Byron Dickens replied to Sven's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
If you had a rack full of hardware synthesizers, would you be shifting them around all the time? What's the difference? -
Bar/Cursor not marking beats or subdivisions anymore
Byron Dickens replied to Bruno Carbonell's question in Q&A
If I understand you correctly, you turned off snap to grid. -
Not so much, but if you want left handed guitars this is the place: https://www.southpawguitars.com/

Are you plugging these into a USB hub?

You see how many questions about basic operations they have to ask ... Oh, yeah....

You know there is no benefit to doing this, right? Upsampling it doesn't improve audio quality; you can't add what isn't there in the first place.

Mixbus or MixBox? Two entirely different things from two different companies.
