  1. 1: Cakewalk has no native way to do this. You need a separate sample editor 2: the clicking us because your edit points are not set to zero crossings.
  2. Except for his recommendation for ASIO4ALL, this is otherwise a great tutorial.
  3. As long as it has it's own ASIO driver. The Focusrite is excellent. DO NOT use ASIO4ALL or any other 3rd party "ASIO" driver. More headaches.
  4. You're not gonna want to hear this, but you're only going to make it hard on yourself without a real audio interface. You might be able to muddle through "ok" but if you ever want to record more than one track or on top of something else you're probably going to run into problems. Spend the $100 or so and save your forehead....
  5. He's not looking to loop the sample so that it repeats. He's looking to transform "boom" into "booooooooooooommmmmmmmmmm"
  6. Someone who speaks two languages is bilingual. So if someone speaks three languages, that would be trilingual. So if someone speaks only one language, what would that be? An American.
  7. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. .. Dang! I spilled my secret.
  8. No worries. That's why I asked. You might be able to do that with a soundfont editor or sampler. Not just a player, but one where you can edit. Unless it's too short to set good loop points. You might also be able to craft such a sound with a synthesizer. You would make a drum sound but crank the decay and sustain way up in the envelope. I'm sure someone else around here can give you a better answer.
  9. Thanks for the clarification. So if I understand you correctly, you're not wanting this to repeat indefinitely but to sustain until you release a key. Correct?
  10. Forgive my ignorance but what exactly, perchance, is "turning an 808 into a sub?" I am guessing that the "808" is a Roland TR808 drum machine (or samples/ VSTi tthereof. Beyond that, I am clueless.
  11. I take it the speakers are plugged into the speaker outs of the Focusrite? What is the organ track routed to?
  12. Wow. You trolled all the way over here for that? Thank you for your comment. You have a wonderful day.
  13. Holy s***! That's highway robbery! You might find this a much better deal: https://www.skyroam.com/
  14. Except for amp sims, of course, I hold off on the processing and effects until mixdown.

  16. You can't possibly know it all because I haven't told you yet. ?
  17. ?That's a good one! There is no such thing as "too powerful." What audio interface do you have?
  18. Wait... What speakers do you have hooked up to your interface? Don't get hung up on all the changes to the software. They are almost all new features or improvements. All the basics of getting sound into the DAW and back out are the same.
