Could be an oversite on CbB's part as any clip should invoke the dimly-lit, partially-lit, semi-lit, but not fully-lit, button, when TLs are closed. But then a "take" is recorded, so behavior may be intended. I think a # on the button would be way more cool, so at glance we know how many lanes there are.

I believe that's normal for BMPs as they don't support transparency w/o a coded color set within the .exe. Some BMPs like the wide Console Separator were converted to PNG for Theme Editor and now support transparency.

The Expand/collapse Take Lanes button has three states: Clicking the button in a track with no clips will create a Lane, so closing it will result in the button remaining semi-lit.

Yes. Not all images have or honor transparency within CbB. But those that do, should. This is just a weird case of one image that did and now doesn't. Still curious if anyone else can replicate it with Now Markers. Then I'll know if it's personal... or something I did.

Take lanes are an integral part of the track. If there's a clip, there's a take lane, hidden or visible. (see post below) The "On/Off button simply shows or hides existing lanes - not make or remove them. Yes. But I revisited those settings to rectify this issue... to no avail. Transparency as a whole is fine, only this particular image is affected ATM. Yes. I made the rest of the image transparent. The transparent area in the default image you posted (above) is transparent in both images, so the "mask" is interfering with the remaining transparent area of my image. FWIW I noticed this same issue in SPlat years ago but forgot about it with CbB as it never came up until now. Setting or glitch? It's not a big deal but annoying to say the least as it's visually ruining several themes. For kicks, anyone care to make one of their Now Markers 100% transparent in a test theme to verify if replicable?

No clue what's causing this. Normally CbB honors transparent objects, but sometimes it forgets to. Of note is the Track View Time Ruler Now Time Marker. There looks like a solid black mask behind it in the shape of the default marker that can appear at will. Default: Repainted: The Black area should be transparent, and for months it was. For no reason, today the mask refuses to go away in spite repeated app reloads and system reboots.

In a way. I finally discovered how to switch graphic cards. Apparently it's per app, not per monitor. Go to Settings > Graphic Settings > Choose an app to set performance. Click Browse to add an app. Click the app. Click Options. Select Let Windows decide, Power Saving (Intel), or High Performance (NVIDIA). When I added Chrome to the list and set it to (NVIDIA), the issue was there. When I set it to (Intel), the issue wasn't as prevalent but still there. Does having 2 apps on the same monitor mean it's using 2 different graphic drivers??? Or will one app take precedence? Edit: On this laptop the Intel graphics will only run the laptop screen. The NVIDIA graphics will only run external screens. Monitor eliminated Graphics eliminated Known settings eliminated

Found it behaves the same on both monitors and both tabs so not an isolated incident as previously thought. After several attempts it stops disappearing and behaves normally.

2nd monitor is running w/normal settings. It also runs off a different video card. Gaming Laptop has 2 and seems to require the 2nd one for external monitors. I've tried to run both on one video but nothing in the docs, settings or what I've read online seems to allow it. I'll try to locate another monitor to see if either monitor or video card is to blame.

Thanks for checking. It's only the Cakewalk tab and only happens when the browser is on the 2nd monitor... where it lives 99% 0f the time. This monitor has a few smallish issues like this, so I'm chalking it up to cheap monitor.

When clicking the Cakewalk by BandLab ▼ tab above in Chrome browser, the dropdown menu frequently disappears before I can select any links. Eventually it does work.

Dismayed no shortcut key can be assigned to it like the others. Another FR for this & "L/T" indicator on the button!

Since switching tools is a drag, I always use Smart Tool. I dislike Freehand Draw tool because all it does is draw, glue & erase, with one (1) right-click option (holding ctrl or alt) to open note properties - I found this by accident as documentation says nothing about it. Documentation does say you can change velocity with ctrl & shift, but this does nothing in my CbB. EDIT: I do use the Line Tool for Controllers tho.

Sounds like the PDF. There's a few areas needing updates from even a year ago.

For some reason the PDF sometimes takes a full minute to open in browser from the site link.

In Track View or Piano Roll View go to View > MIDI Microscope and deselect.
