Gibson Brands Inc has been trying for years to copy the amazing work produced in Kalamazoo MI by Gibson Inc. What’s the difference? Strats and Teles are probably the most copied designs ever; who’s complaining?
maybe someone should troll elsewhere...
just sayin’
Thanks so much Tom!

That's interesting Kevin! I also sold a Gibson LP Studio to by my second Tokai.

I would like to compliment you on this, however . . . the complete copyright violation of the guitar you featured absolutely turned me off. That is a total knockoff of a Gibson Les Paul. SHAME ON YOU!
Wow Andy!
Get off your high horse! So you're telling me that every guitar player that plays a Les Paul replica should be ashamed??? I can name Ibanez, ESP, Cort, Yamaha, PRS (Gibson tried to sue them and lost the case). These guitars are not trying to pass of their replicas as Gibson knock offs. They do not have Gibson on the headstock.
I have a Gibson Les Paul Standard and can honestly say that these Japanese hand made Tokai Loverocks completely blow the Gibson away in terms of build quality, attention to detail and playability.
You have no idea of any guitar player's personal situation and have absolutely no right in telling someone what they should be playing.
I really don't even know why I'm bothering to justify myself to someone who thinks that they can dictate to anyone about personal choice. I shouldn't even dignify your comments with a reply.
Go and pick a fight somewhere else!

You've got a great sound there - tight timing with lots coming through the mix well. I like the contrast between the almost retro/atmospheric sound of the intro/outro, and the rocking main part. Great tune!
Thanks antler!

Thanks Paulo! No need to throw your gear away! ?

Really nice song and video production. I'm curious, why did you record in Cakewalk and then swap DAWS and finish it in Cubase?

I've recently had one of my tracks featured on Mike's Creative Sause Youtube Channel.
I'm sure that Mike doesn't need an introduction as he's been putting Cakewalk Tutorials for a long time.
I was track number two.

Love the psychedelic vibe, great job? I would love to know what the draw bar settings were on the keyboard at the 4:46 mark if it's okay.
I've started to mess with a B3 but I can't seem to get that sound?
Thanks for the comments! I'll have a chat with Dave and try and get those settings. He plays on the fly with the drawbars so I'm not sure if he'll be able to remember what he did.
Cheers!

Personal taste: I would have hoped the drums would have been less dry. At minimum, some (more) verb on the snare.
Thanks for the comment Bapu! In my first mix I did have more reverb on the kit but felt that the drums lost a bit of punch. I applied a room ambience which is still surprisingly quite high in the mix.
Cheers.

This is so Floyd'y, it's got a wonderful Gilmour feel without totally copying his setup. And your drummer Larry is way better than Mason!
Terrific playing by both of you guitarists - that fricking riff at 6:29 made me forget about Gilmour altogether. And Dave flies on the C3!
Wonderful work - I'm so jealous!

Thanks for ten minutes of blissful musical respite from an otherwise mad World. Great work!
