Same here! Just opened it and it tells me the version has expired, even though there has not been a usual request of updating. Have not yet found a way to make it work.
Just go and download the latest version and it should sort itself out.

Nice song Steve! I'd never have thought of adding a trombone but I think it sounds excellent!

Nice vocal production too!

I listened in the studio and honestly I can't find anything to add. It sounds really good Mark. I love it.
Great guitar playing! Well done!

This is a bit strange. I normally receive a message informing me of an update to the program after which I would download and install. This time there was no mention of an update. Just a message informing me that my subscription had expired.
-
I took out a subscription for the full membership on November 19, 2024.
When trying to open Cakewalk Sonar today I received a message saying that my subscription has expired!
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks!

I've just finished the track and video of the recording session for this new track.
I also decided to try out a few of the new Core plugins from Sonar.
All compression, eq and delays were used and I have to say I'm really impressed. I was a huge fan of the Sonitus suite but I won't be using them again.
Many of the folk on the forum will be familiar with my good friend Larry who plays drums on my projects and once again he performed on this song. What I would like to mention is that the song is not a straight forward piece of music and he came to the studio, did three takes of which I preferred the 2nd. He's a pleasure to work with. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it.

Really beautiful and moving. Excellent playing and tones. Nice to reconnect with your former bandmate and work together again. I think you succeeded in taking the Pink Floyd influence and making the song your own. Good that Sonar performed well for you with so many tracks and vsts. Listening I would not have guessed it had 50 tracks, its very clean and focused. Great job!
Thank you for your kind comments treesha!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks Steve!

Really nice track Mark! Audio production sounds excellent!
If I could suggest one thing it would be maybe drop the level of the hi hat slightly. Other than that tiny thing I think it's excellent!

This is a killer track. I loved the flow and the dynamics. The ending is just fantastic. I loved the tone of the LP especially, but really, everything just shines in this one. I'm looking forward to the album!
Thank you for your comments, Kevin! I'm trying to finish the album by the end of the year.
Cheers!

Fantastic production and Killer ferformance ! I think you milked each instrument for all they were capable of keeping with the theme and feel of the song. I'm sure it's going to be a Steller album.
It's always a "pleasure" to watch Larry's drumming. Looks like he's talking to them telling them to "get ready" I'm fixing to smack you.
Highly impressive Loved it .. mark
Thanks so much Mark! I'm hoping that the album will be a step up from my previous ones!
Regarding Larry, he's worked with me on three of my albums (this will be his fourth) and he is one of the best drummers that I've had the pleasure of working with.

I've just completed the latest track from my upcoming album. It's the title track (Full Circle). This has a Pink Floyd influence but I have tried to make it my own. I pushed the latest version of Sonar fairly hard with this track and I can say that it performed flawlessly. Track count was around 50 plus various vst synths and vst effects (reverbs, compression, delay, modulation etc). No glitches whatsoever. I'm very happy with the DAW. I know that some users have experienced problems but thankfully it's been rock solid for me.
The songwriting was a team effort between myself and my good friend Alan Petersen. Alan and I played in a band together when we were still at school (many years ago).
He now lives in London, we reconnected and he expressed an interest in getting involved with the writing and some of the playing on this album. Hence the title.
The track also features my other good friend, Larry Rose on drums.-
