Thanks so much for your comments, guys!
I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

I decided to revisit the blues with this little instrumental. Once again had the pleasure of playing with Dave Sharp (Hammond C3 and Leslie as well as the bass) and Larry Rose (drums). Guitar once again was the Kemper direct into the DAW.
I think that it came out really well. It was great fun putting this together.
Hope you enjoy!
Cheers
Peter.

Well Jack,
At least you can see that it was completely live. No post production.

We recorded our CCR tribute in my studio and filmed it as well. This was done during lockdown as a live stream back in April. A bit strange to not have an audience but it is what it is.
We decided to put it up on Youtube for viewing if anyone is interested.
The link will be up for 48 hours.Happy New Year to all! Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the kind comments, Tom!
Yes, Larry gets a lot of comments about his guitar face (live and in the studio) ?

Congratulations on the HiFi deal!
Thanks guys!

Just had an interesting spin off to my video. A top end Hi Fi company wants to use my music (starting with this one) to use as a demo in their showrooms and on their website.
The best part is that they're paying a decent amount for this.
In this music climate I'll take any kind of new business model for my music.

Big ?'s from me.

How fast are you burning through G strings on that acoustic?
I've had 'em separate into little "blocks" of windings between changes. Thanks DC!
Yes, I am fairly hard on guitar strings. I use quite heavy gauge acoustic strings, so in order to get any kind of vibrato on a wound third requires an aggressive approach.
Cheers.

Thanks for your comments, John. It's pretty much my sentiments too.

I always listen to the track first.. and then go and watch the video later.
So my comments here are based just on the sound track first.
I would love to have a go at mixing this track as its the kind of music I like.
(not saying that I can do better... we all paint very different pictures)
Great musicianship here.

@ Andy - thanks for the comments. I'll be sure to tell Larry.
@ David - Thanks for the comment. Yes, I had to somehow "hide" my poor piano playing, Lol!
@ Gary - thanks for your comments! Yes, Larry is a perfect session drummer.

This is the fourth track from my upcoming album "Big Moving Parts".
I decided to create a rough theme to this video. I think it works in the context of the title etc.
Hope you enjoy.

You guys are really good. Great video, pretty cool watching you guys play together. Not being much of a guitar player myself, I don't know what a Kemper is and I always wonder how come the lead guitar player never needs a score sheet? ☺️
Thanks, Bjorn!
Basically a Kemper is a digital hardware device that mimics the tone of a miced up guitar amp which allows you to record directly into your DAW.
-
If anyone uses a Kemper, the main profile used in the first part of the song was my Marshall JCM2000/Drivemaster amp/pedal combination.
It's available as a free download on my website. www.peterhanmer.co.za
Cheers.

I just echo all the above (with the exception of the Kemper comments, I don't need anymore gear, so I'll just pretend its a Marshall...)

Well you're not wrong. The Kemper profiles were made from my Marshall.

I would really like to have the ability to copy a file from one project (maybe an older project) of the same song and be able to paste it at exactly the same time on the timeline in a newer version of the song. At the moment I have to make sure that the cursor is in exactly the same place on the newer track to ensure that the audio is pasted in the correct place on the timeline.
To have a "paste in place" option would be great.
Thanks.

@ Mark, the Kemper was a game changer for me. The profiles used in the track were my own profiles which I created from my live rig.
