Thanks for the Good Luck but I pretty much know what I want and what I can afford-which may not be the same thing. All the tube LDC mics I have owned suited me fine-hence, I want another one and Warm Audio fits the bill for me- This thread has helped convince me of that-which is a good thing! Thanks for the good luck wish-we all need that! ?

My WA -87r2 is basically a wa-67 without the tube-according to Warm Audio!
-
The wa-251 is one of the mics I am looking at. That and the WA-47 and WA-CX12.

I had a Stellar CM5 LDC tube mic, which IMHO, was the same guy that runs warm audio but that's another story. Like an idiot, I sold it. But I have owned many mics. I am not sure what you consider budget, but for me, $1,000 is not a budget mic. I know for actual studios that is a budget mic. I am in a small spare bedroom at home. Also, I have found that LDC Tube mics suit my voice better that a non-tube. But like I said if I could afford a higher end non-tube mic I would get one. I think that's the difference for me. It's all about budget and for my $$$ and style, the warm Audio LCD tube mics in the $1k range are better "for me" than any non-tube mic under $1.5K. I appreciate your input always, here and in other threads. Thanks

I did search but didn't find threads to help my decision. I tend to like the warmth and sound of a Large Diaphragm Tube Condenser mic for MY vocals . Presently have a NON tube NEW WA87r2 but really want a tube mic. Was an impulse buy. Supposedly it is a warm audio WA-67 non tube version of the 67. I also like Warm audio mics but doesn't have to be. My budget for the mic is $1,000. I do have a warm audio wa12 mic pre also. *****************any suggestions would be appreciated---I do mean any, I open to all suggestions.....I was looking at the Warm Audio WA-47. Why do they make their mics so huge? The originals they model are NEVER as huge. -BTW, too late by 10 days, to return the WA87r2 and I am a VERY GOOD Sweetwater customer (have had platinum card forever) for 20 years. Kind of made me mad but it is what it is. Thanks as Always

That is pretty much what I have been doing most of my CW life (early90's) I always thought that was wrong, as stated above. So do you delete the 2 tracks or just delete the audio in the track? I must be doing something incorrectly. I also rename projects to where I end up with 7 or 8 with the date on the end as a reference. Another bad habit I imagine.

That's what I use to do, record, undo, etc. I really want to avoid the missing file stuff I use to come up with and 99% of the time it was a wav. file. Which could only be vocal or guitars because everything else I do is midi and not bounced until I am done with vocals nd guitars..........

Thanks- I remember doing (should say trying) this way back when, but never really learned it. I found 3 other videos, so I have 4 videos to learn from now! Thanks very much ?
-
I believe this is what got me into a mess before-not understanding of course. I would record a vocal and then undo recording. Repeating this process many times in the project. Guitars I normally get right the first time but still? What is the best practice if I want\need to do this until I am happy with the vocal? I will gladly watch\read any necessary video tutorials, etc. Need to know what to look for. sorry for the basic question again. Just trying to end my old bad habits and replace with the proper or most used approach. Thanks very much

Same time I was getting all the 502 Gateway errors for this forum I kept being pushed to a page that talked about Next and New Sonar-no prices that I saw-explained some features- had lots of graphics also. etc, etc.

Yes me too! Finally just got in. Well, new add page looks cool at least ?

My reply was NOT an insult, it was a realistic observation. But hey, facts do not matter in this world anyway so Cool! wish you all the best!

Yes and you the rightous are certainly helping the OP with his issue. Gosh, thanks for jumping in-so cordial!

I am not attacking you, just trying to understand your logic behind your choice! You can debate back and forth about this or you can realize the internet is not the big scary dark hell on fire place. Jeeeezz-it's the internet. Sorry but as I see it you have 2 choices: The right choice: activate online at a friends house or something as mentioned above. Or however you choose to get online. Takes less than a minute! Wrong choice: keep posting about it and DO NOTHING

Yes "I" Know all that. Maybe reply to the person who asked the question-no biggie-just sayin ?

Why say they haven't told us anything about the new software? That's crazy. IT IS SONAR as in Cakewalk? Do you really think they completely rewrote the whole thing from the bottom up? It is pretty much the paid Version of CWbBL, but not free, with enhancements. Jeeezzz-pretty simple really! Also, the FREE Version is GREAT and is STILL Free

Bristol Thank You for this suggestion. I have many project folders not only with the audio file crap but also with 7 or 8 versions of the pretty much the same file, I add whatever I changed to the title-dumb-This also cleans up that garbage also-and quickly! -

Just wanted to say thanks for helping this old vet. I know it must be frustrating. So the asset file thing is this according to CW ( in 2014): This file is used by Gobbler to know what files/videos and paths are referenced in your project for properly backing it up. It cannot be turned off. There's an options in preferences to turn it off, I totally forget we added that since we first added the feature. You can ignore it if you want when backing up your projects, but it will be re-created on the next save. My issue is, these files are NOT referenced in the project. Why not just keep track of things that are actually IN the project when the project is saved? confusing, oh well. I do need to try Bristols suggestion. Tried once but screwed it up. I will try again. -

David The 2 screenshots I posted earlier in the thread are the ones that really bug. There are so many like that. But I sure don't want to delete them. Those screenshots earlier are with hidden files hidden so I don't get the zillion files in a project with 5 tracks?that's kind of what I mean. -

You mean upload the project? I have no problem with that. But I did replace the file that was missing. Guess I could leave it in there. I totally screwed up. BTW, the midi file is just one I downloaded for free and edited-no biggie. I could start all over the right way-like NOT delete files in a project nilly willy. example: I used to (way back also) record a vocal or guitar track and did a whole lot of UNDO RECORDING (a whole lot) Could that have caused this alo-besides deleting tracks? -

I know I should only have one folder-that was an accident. Both cwp files with the vsts play perfectly..... I actually found the file so can I put it back and delete it legally? It's a wav file of a vocal take. Which is NOT in the projects-or not suppose to be anyway. -

I have 2 versions of that same song in different folders with different names. The audio folder is empty (even when showing hidden files and folder is checked) The project folder is also empty except for the midi file with the vsts? -
