  1. Wow, all this new stuff and the update is free? Sweet!
  2. Some of these are new to me, so I thought I'd post the link here... https://www.sageaudio.com/blog/audio-plugins/top-11-free-reverb-plugins.php 1. Roboverb – Kushview 2. MVerb2020 – SocaLabs 3. KR-Reverb FS – KResearch 4. TAL Reverb 4 – Togu Audio Line 5. Harmonic Reverb – ChromaDSP 6. Schroeder – DiscoDSP 7. MConvolutionEZ – Melda Audio 8. Panagement 2 – Auburn Sounds 9. Old Skool Verb – Voxengo 10. Verberate Basic 2 – Acon Digital 11. Teufelsburg Reverb – Balance Audio Tools
  3. Oh great, now I have to watch the whole thing...
  4. Each plugin is a work of art. I had to stop using Pro-R because rather than applying reverb to my track, I'd end up staring at the beautiful display for hours. ?
  5. This is truly bizarre! Have you tried 1) moving the Free Angels folder to a different drive, 2) adding the new drive/folder to the Soundpaint scan path, and 3) re-scanning?
  6. Yeah, me too. When someone says "gem" it raises my expectations. Then again, when the gem is given to me for free, it lowers it right back down, so no complaints. ?

  8. https://soundpaint.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409247974171-Soundpaint-wont-open-on-Windows-10
  9. The fact that Soundpaint can see some libraries but not others in the same main folder suggests this could be a permissions issue with the Free Angels subfolder. Is "Read" and "Read & execute" allowed for that folder?
  10. Actually I should have posted the following instead so that you can verify all files are present, including those in the "Parts" folder. If they're all there, maybe try a re-install?
  11. Maybe the problem is an incomplete installation. Do you have all 72 files shown below?
  12. I'm not sure how to help other than to suggest posting your issue here https://vi-control.net/community/threads/soundpaint-new-free-library-coming-tomorrow-and-more.95667/ . Troels Folmann (from 8dio) or one of the many other users might have a solution for you. Cheers...
  13. The new version (v1.0.2)? If so, it loads right up on my system.
  14. Are you sure that the folder you installed it to is listed here:
  15. Free Angels would have made a good Halloween release. Some of the sounds are pretty spooky.
  16. I installed it (took about 3minutes) and am using it now. No mess at all!
  17. The addition of Free Angels unlocked my first few Hidden Gems.
  18. Sounpaint has been updated to version 1.02. You can install it from within the app.
  19. I guess it might be wise to set aside some money for additional storage...
  20. The Soundpaint version is available for d/l now...
  21. Very bad!!! Yes, they should have learned from that. And yet they advertise it as an exciting new developmnet for us. Which makes it worse than the eLicenser. My answer is: a moron (completely untethered to the world of modern music making). If this means that I lose the ability to use my current version of Cubase (ver 11) in perpetuity (b/c I will never upgrade again!), then it becomes a Melville-esque scenario:
  22. I think SB may have corrected this problem a few versions ago. But for me it doesn't matter since I've disabled automatic time updates in Windows (and everything else automatic, for that matter).
  23. Why are they going to do this? Is it because: 1. they only trust us for one year 2. they want to force us to visit their site once a year so that they can solicit us 3. they collect our usage stats over the year and then retrieve them at the end of the year? There's no good reason for this policy; it's just another thing to have to worry about.
  24. Definitely not joking (though I may have misunderstood what I read). See this thread for details: https://forums.steinberg.net/t/cubase-12-is-coming-in-2022/748776/29?u=basecu
