Same here. Rather than spend $99 now for just the K7 update, why not wait until next year's summer sale where (I'm assuming!) we will get everything in KU14CE including K7 for a mere additional $100 to $150? It doesn't seem like K7 offers any important improvements over K6, so that's my strategy. Let's be honest here, most of us will probably eventually buy some version of Komplete and, in those scenarios, we would double-pay for K7. Right? ?

MonsterStringsVST is a Free String virtual instrument that sounds great but is still lightweight in RAM usage. In this first version, Monster Strings has 13 Presets, divided into 2 main categories: ACOUSTIC and SYNTHESIZER. ACOUSTIC has 2 sub-categories, ENSEMBLE and SOLO. https://agushardiman.tv/monster-strings-a-good-free-string-plugin-with-small-ram-usage/

My Ozone 10 Advanced update says "Full Trial". Does anyone else have this?

Lots of free stuff on their site now...

When you said "Jim helped me build my last DAW" does that mean you paid him for his parts list and then you built it yourself?

You can do that too (with some plugins). For example, I moved all my Acustica plugins to an SSD in a external drive enclosure (that's the "VST3-Mobius" link in my screenshot above).
-
I've been moving the .vst3 files to a company-specific folder for years without issue, except for SpectraLayers and, now, XLN:
-
Unfortunately we can't choose where to install the VST3 plugins (on Windows). I always move them into a company-specific folder. Hopefully they'll make that user-selectable too.
-
Version 14 seems to have eliminated the Preset Browser (introduced in v12).

You can hear demos of a few of the patches here:

acustica audio Acustica Audio - AERO guitar software
locrian replied to Hidden Symmetry's topic in Deals
Unfortunately Aero is quite heavy on CPU usage. I can run just *one* instance and nothing else; it drives my Cubase realtime meters to overload. I have yet to use an Acustica plugin in a project. They sound great (though not this one) but are way too CPU-intensive. Oh well... -

This one is surprisingly 'lite' for an Acustica plugin; only 70MB! -
Actually I'm the one who should be committed for thinking that I could have left here with a "yeah, you should probably hold off on this purchase" recommendation. ?

Bandmate and the scalable GUI are the two main reasons I'm considering the upgrade. Sounds like they got the latter right but may need to tweak the former a bit. Thanks for the feedback!
-
Any regrets from those who have upgraded?

I think the SM7 *might* fit by itself, but probably not with the mounting bracket.
-
I hope it's big enough to fit my SM7 (which only came with a plastic bag!).
-
The code actually worked! Thanks, e-cue.
