  1. Thx for your request, Klaus ? What I mean is, when in the main track-window a clip has been locked by a locksymbol (yellow, blue or white) it seems not to be possible to change the lock-status directly from PRV. But I'm not really shure... All the best
  2. Hi, did I miss something by trying to lock or unlock events in the piano-roll-view? If it is not possible - than why? Cheers
  3. You also might use *Spacedesk* (https://spacedesk.net/de/multi-monitor-app-virtueller-bildschirm-software-videowand) and use five or ten tablets / smartphones to control everything in CbB in it's own outsourced window… ?
  4. Oh, I didn't knew that and it is interesting. It seems, ableton can do something similar: https://isotonikstudios.com/product/note-range-setters/ But I will only stop working with Sonar / CbB if it is forbidden by death ???
  5. You are right, Matthew, my way it only prevents notes from playing. When record CbB shows up the notes that are outside of the limited range. As I wrote before, I want to use the notes from 1 till 24 and from 107 to 127 for midi controlling. (Who needs these very upper and lower notes?) ⁉️ I've had routed the mackie commands, which are sent my midi controller via MIDIox to these upper and lower values and this works fine to me. So the problem was (or is), when I trigger a note-on command for example in generic control Surface or ATC an useless sound will also appear. This is actually not too bad, but I don't like it...
  6. cHi Buddy, do you want to use the arturia hardware (beatstep) as a midi controller to regulate VST-softsynths within CbB? I'm using spark 2 for a while and are a bit fimiliar with arturia software. Not a specialist but also have been through all kinds of ATC horror-experiences. What about the midi-control-Center software from Arturia? Cheers ?
  7. Okay, doorman works similarly like the MFX scook has recommended before. It acts more like a filter for already taken notes. Not really what I'm searching for… ?
  8. From my opinion they should add THIS (in thepicture) to the PRV. One could solo or mute individual notes, even whole ranges e.t.c. ?
  9. Ghhh sh*t! It doesn't... You can show up the piano roll view with virtual left keyboard, you can even draw notes in it, but it doesn't react at all ? Guess I have defenetly decide between using a drum-map or not Such a biest of a program… ?
  10. Okay, I have to correct my statement. The virtual keyboard in the PRV is completly useable. So my question is answered by creating a certain drum-map. Thank you all for your help ??
  11. thank you for your Input - that is interessting ?
  12. I'm not that much into signal flow and special technical events. For all to see what I mean, I created a CbB drum map in a project and now I have what I was asking for - but in the pianoroll view the left virtual keyboard is goodbye and the appearence of the notes are thinner (what I really don't like) I guess, would just take a little effort for the programmers to transfer this option (solo/mute) into the regular pianoroll view and off we go ? But as we all know, this will never happen *geee
  13. That's what it looks like, but I haven't yet get it to work good night - it's late again
  14. Wow!!! I'm blown away - What an answer ? Thx a lot - I've never stumbled over this Incredible website Track Doorman Oyvind Strandem asked on the SONAR/MFX forum: "Hi, I'm trying to use my laptop running sonar to control several softsynths at the same time, but I'm having trouble specifying the keyranges for the different synths so I can control them all from a single midikeyboard. I tried using the CakewalkFx Midi Event filter to single out the keyranges i wanted the synth to respond to, but it wouldnt work on realtime input, only recorded mididata. Does anyone know about some kind of keyrangefilter that responds to realtime midi input? Or does anyone know how to make one?" Well, I don't know of one (and it's a pity that the Cake plug doesn't do this), but I can sure as heck make one... TenCrazy.com MFX Track Doorman in one tough cookie! He only lets notes into his club if they meet strict requirements!
  15. Thx for your response, abacab ☺️ Cool - good idea... My controller can do that too, but I think, it is not really helpful to achieve what I want to realize.
  16. My controller sends MIDI by two layers 1. is for keys and wheeels and 8 knobs 2. is for faders, pan, pads and buttons and has also the ability to split the keys
  17. I'm using LoopMIDI in combination with MIDIox for years... So I'm quiet familiar with it ☯️ Another workaround is to create a drummap and sort out desired notes, but I don't want to edit my synth in the pianoroll view as a drummap. Too bad, it is not possible to click-off individual notes in the pianoroll piano. ⁉️
  18. Scook, as far as I can see, this tool works only for already existing notes in the track and doesn't affect the incomming midi note-on commands of my midi-controller not a bit. What I'm looking for, is a tool or a method to filter out or block incomming note commands in a certain range of the 0-127 spectrum. I don't really need the very low and upper notes to work. With the MIDI-OX tool I can do a lot, but this sucks...
  19. Thx for reply, scook already tried this tool, but wasn't very sucessful with it... I'll try again. ?
  20. Hi and Hello ? Has anyone successfully blocked a range of incoming MIDI Notes from a track? I want to block lower incomming midi notes (of my Control Keyboard) from 1 to 24 and upper incomming notes from 101 to 127. I use these notes in a mackie based Control setup and as I use them for control my synths and FX I don't want to hear a certain sound when pushing my buttons. Something like this: https://isotonikstudios.com/product/note-range-setters/
  21. Didn't realize, there were new updates (Version 3.5) Got a message from Magix Samplitude. They strongly recommened to update Independence Pro. So I updated from 3.2 to 3.5 and after the obligatory fumbling of 3 or 5 hours it finally works fine without jBridge
  22. Yes, while ago I've had bought it as a separate plug-in and now I'm thinking about switch to NI Kontakt (124 Dollars would they charge me for it right now)
  23. Thank you for reply, Scook ? As I mensioned, I have no trouble in stand-alone mode, so I'm not sure it is about registration. What I did is the following. In plug-in manager I've chosen to start Independence with my jBridge-software and : ta-ta! it started just as snipping with my fingers. I find this quiet confusing… ha ha ?
  24. Hi and hello Anybody out there using "Independence Pro" sampler by Magix? It's comparatively a software like "Kontakt" from NI (maybe even better) I've bought it years ago and now can't start it anymore as VST in CbB in my projects since I chanced my mainboard and CPU. In standalone modus no prob at all. It was sucessfully accepted by the CbB VST check and it is listed in the plug-in manager. HoweverI remember, it took half an eternity doing that but it did. Now CbB crashes when I try to load this VST (Independence) I#LL be happy to hear from you. Thx a lot Uwo
  25. Hi and Hello, could need some help... Starting a certain project in recovery-start-modus (choosing: skip all) my actual CbL 2019.03 immediately crashes without any warning. Seems to be a problem with Celemony Melodyne V. 4.2.1.003. Melodyne works fine in standalony-modus. Any suggestions About this behaviour? Cheers Uwe
