Yeah, short of selling a lung or kidney, employment was my only option. Well, I could have died, like the plant above, but I'm not ready for that. And I really didn't want to go back to work. Thankfully, my boss at work (or 'team lead' as they're called nowadays) says she will give me the schedule I want. We'll see. Gas prices have been declining here for the last 2 weeks, but still almost 3X what they were in October of 2020. I know they came down after the last big gas "crisis" circa 2004, but this may be a case of the oil companies wanting to get it while they can, what with all the talk of going electric everywhere. Thank goodness our gear is already electric! Sorry for this "Oh woe is me" post. Things are tough all over.

Oh, they play music on the PA, too. ?

When I retired in '19, I knew it wouldn't be a bed of roses, but I was making it. Then in '20 something happened, and everything started costing more, prices rising across the board. I've been holding on by cutting luxuries, like lunch, sold some land to my brother, sold my Stratocaster, sigh. So I took a part-time job with my former employer, unloading trucks and stocking shelves. Second shift, 2 days a week and they started me at almost what I was making when I quit. It's a different store than previously. Trying to get into the swing of things, but when you've spent the last 2 and a half years watching TV and playing video games, everything is a pain. Looking forward to having lunch today! Anyone else had major life changes other than those in that other fred?

CAKEWALK RECORDS OUT OF SYNC.......EVERY TIME.

Are you using the ASIO driver mode with your Edirol interface? -
It's an easy decision when someone offers to pay for everything.

Not meaning to be impertinent, but do you remember his name? ? Maybe me or my brothers knew him. We went to the teen club and AYA often, so there's a pretty good chance we saw you play.

Another Frankfurt alum, Stanley Whitaker, played a 20-minute acoustic set, All You Need Is Love, Here Comes The Sun, Wish You Were Here, and more. He was a long-time member of the band Happy The Man.

Not my high school. My brother the programmer's wife decided not to go, so he asked me to tag along. Carl was a 1968 graduate of Frankfurt American High School in Germany, and my brother Steve graduated from there in '71. He met us in Asheville, NC for the all-classes event. My brother Mike also went to the school for a year, but he couldn't join us, RIP. I only made it through Frankfurt American Junior High School before we rotated stateside, but I knew some of the folks, or knew of them. Amazingly, they had arranged for not 1, not 2, but 3 of the bands that played in Frankfurt during that era to be there: Poor Man's Children, George and the Rockets, and The Naked Truth. They were all composed of (mostly) children of servicemen in Frankfurt. Poor Man's Children and George and the Rockets only differed by their bass players. It was pretty cool. Even though they probably only had a couple of run-throughs before the gig (they weren't still together and may not have seen each other in the flesh for decades), you could still tell what they were playing. Hits from the sixties. They also had a silent auction to raise money for their organization. Lots of memorabilia from the school and the era. I saw these unopened Yellow Submarine Beatles action figures. I don't know if they sold. All in all, a good week with the brothers, and Carl paid for everything!

*if all the MIDI tracks are assigned to soft synths.

Cakewalk by Bandlab? Or SONAR? Or Platinum? Cakewalk by Bandlab may be able to be reverted to an earlier release. If you purchased one of those older programs, they may be available in your Cakewalk Command Center.

One difference is TTS-1 is multi-timbral whereas SI is not. Not a problem; just add another SI.

If you're straining, you're not doing it right.

Songs that you love or hate to play live... What are yours?
57Gregy replied to Rain's topic in The Coffee House
I'll bet there's an app for that. -
And a crackerjack keyboard player! Thanks for the clarification. My brother the programmer went to college instead. Once the draft was eliminated, he quit and got a job.

What I didn't do During LAW kdown (warning- E.L.P cover)

Yes. I can't understand how sighted people can play that. She must be an alien. -
Anybody have a Behringer X-Touch and want a Cakewalk overlay?
57Gregy replied to Scott Reams's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Literally "cut and paste". ? -
I also use a drum track, with the count-in in that drum track.

Expanding Height of Console Strip Modules
57Gregy replied to FIP GeBall's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I was wondering the same thing a few days ago. Couldn't find a way to do it. That space is reserved for other controls, like sends, etc.- 5 replies

We lived through some great times, didn't we? You mentioned before that you were there at the same time as me. I was one of the kids you defended. Thanks for your service, Dave.

I must say, that was fantastic! Watched the whole thing. I couldn't turn away. Love me some ELP. Watching Rachel Flowers play the keyboard, I was amazed anyone could play that, and how in the world did anyone think it up? (Thanks, Keith!) All of the performers were first-rate and how did the vocalist monitor the recording? I didn't see any headphones or ear buds. Studio magic? While there were a couple of geezers, it is encouraging to see young people appreciate this 50-year-old music enough to want learn it and play it so well. And was that Dave's Nord? -
How to clear clip added to audio snap pool

So others can benefit from any good info in the thread, and possibly a solution for their problem. It's like a library; they don't throw away the books after you've read and returned them. -
If you are looking for a way to control the volumes of your MIDI tracks with 1 control, you can route your soft synth outputs to a single bus, or, if you use your keyboard's sounds, use the keyboard's volume knob. The latter is what I do.
